Villa vacation rentals in Rethimnon

It was absolutely perfect. We had contact via WhatsApp before arrival, so it was no problem at all to get to the accommodation. The house is a dream, 25 minutes from the airport, the nearest tavern is 5 minutes away and highly recommended. Everything was perfectly clean. It was even wiped once during our stay and new towels were also provided. Everything you need is there, even a basic supply of food, it would satisfy the first hunger. There is absolutely nothing negative to report, we would love to come back.

Villa Velagio Is clean modern well equipped for two or four people. Not isolated but in a rural setting not overlooked . The private pool and terris give you views across hills to the mountains and though the valley to the sea. To pool is perfect for adults to plunge and cool down. Too deep for non swimming children (IMO). Being on the edge of plakias , means you have close access (by car) to 5 sandy beaches in five or ten minutes. Some are Naturists , most are textile, so everyone should be happy. In land there are natural geological features , birds and plants to explore. There are many beach side and mountain Taverna so you will not go hungry. The villa has washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob and the all important Nespresso machine. Linen is clean , towels are plentiful and the air conditioning works perfectly. There is one shower and loo. If we could , we might never have gone home, this is a lovely lovely place.

Absolutely amazing place. The view is breathtaking, you can’t get enough of it and there are two large terraces to enjoy it from. The swimming pool is a nice touch too, small but the same time big enough to cool down and sunbathe next to it if you don’t feel like going to the beach. Super easy and friendly interactions with Manos and the rest of the team. Warm welcome and attention all the way through the stay. There were a lot of little, but important details that we really appreciated, such as: bottled water, some juices and fruits that were waiting for us in the fridge, as well as some local snacks and olive oil. On my birthday, a lovely greeting card and a bottle of Ouzo appeared in our villa which was also an unexpected but an excellent gesture. Everyone was really friendly and we felt truly welcomed. Many thanks to all! Although it’s only 3.5 km away from The center of Plakias, I’d definitely recommend hiring a car, as the villa is up on the hill, hence the stunning view.

We had a great stay at Villa Solaris. The outdoor area was fantastic, including a heated pool and BBQ with several outside seating areas. There were also lovely views of the nearby mountains towards Lake Kournas. The villa was well stocked with fruit, veg and other basic ingredients on arrival, which was very welcome. Our hosts - Giannis and Stelios - were very responsive and hospitable. They greeted us on arrival and throughout our stay, and even left us with some raki and olive oil at the end. We would recommend having a car for easy access to Chania and Rethmyno, as there are not a lot of nice tavernas / shops within walking distance. However, there is a relatively well stocked supermarket approx. 10 min walk away.

Breathtaking view! The house is brand new, it corresponds exactly to the pictures shown. The pool is very large & during the day there is a perfect mix of sunny and shady spots. There are many small taverns nearby, you never had to drive far. Very clear recommendation for this villa, it is perfect & we would love to come back anytime!

The house has been fully redecorated to a high modern day standard. It's spacious and very private, also thanks to the walled inner garden with swimming pool, and possibilities to park two cars behind an electronically operated gate. The house is clean and the beds very comfortable. Also ideal when traveling with two couples of which one has children, because one bedroom has a separate front door that is accessible from the garden (under the roof top terrace). A very nice local restaurant and a supermarket are within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here!

Lovely villa that completely exceeded our expectations. We stayed here with 2 families (4 adults and 4 children). We were met by a super enthusiastic host who explained everything clearly and welcomed us with some typical Greek local products. The house is equipped with all comforts. Large bedrooms with their own bathrooms and hammam. Spacious kitchen equipped with all the necessary kitchen appliances (including prof. coffee machine) The icing on the cake was the lovely outdoor area with (heated) pool, sitting area, dining area, bbq and views of the Agia Galini bay and surroundings. We stayed here at the beginning of spring and we were very happy with our decision to opt for a house where the pool was heated. From this location we made a trip to Matala and the palm beach of Preveli. We might have been able to do more, but didn't get the kids out of the pool😁. For anyone who is still in doubt: don't, just book!

Good bits. The villa was outstanding, as described & the photo's don't lie! Pool is amazing as are the views. The villa & grounds spotlessly clean & spacious. Plenty of outdoor furniture. Nikos provided a lovely welcome pack, inc Oat milk as requested. He also gave us some good recommendations for ordering in (efoods app was great & better than trying to use the oven & utensils). The beds were very comfortable. We had a problem with the jacuzzi, but Nikos's father was there to sort it out within the hour! Can't fault the service or friendliness. We were a family party of 10 with an age range of 17 to 61. Not so good bits. Not enough plug sockets in the bedrooms & no window covering on the upstairs master bathroom. The cats! They drive you mad, they meow constantly & try to get indoors, you can't leave the doors open (problem when half the party love them & feed them!!! but the other half don't like cats). Taxi's expensive. Overall, would thoroughly recommend & return.

A Slice of Paradise – Five Stars All Around! We had the most incredible time staying at this large and stunning villa in the Loutraki/Chania area. The property is nothing short of breathtaking, with lush, beautifully maintained gardens and crystal-clear water right at your doorstep. The direct beach access was a dream—so easy and convenient—and we spent countless hours floating in the calm sea and enjoying the serene, quiet atmosphere. The views from every direction were spectacular, making it hard to leave the villa! The villa itself is exquisite, with a spacious, well-designed area for cooking and relaxing. It’s the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Demetrios, our host, went above and beyond, offering incredible hospitality and even surprising me with a birthday cake, which made our stay all the more special. If you’re looking for a tranquil, beautiful retreat this is the place!

The perfect villas for a big group, we loved both and had the most relaxing time around them. Location is close to all the local beaches and only a 10 minute taxi to Chania. Evi the host was excellent throughout our stay and made sure we had everything we needed at all times.

Our AirBNB in Chania was very clean, just as described in the listing, very modern and quiet place. The pool was very clean, and there was plenty of room to accommodate all 7 of us. Our host was very sweet and greeted us immediately upon check in, she was very friendly and always responsive if we ever needed anything. The apartment was very nicely decorated and sparkling clean. I would 100% recommend staying here if you are traveling to Chania!

We were eight women who spent a week at Villa Rodea. Had an amazing time, the view is wonderful and we had an uncomplicated care by the Komos team. We'll be back.

Memorable stay at Villa Celestia. We needed a quiet and relaxing break for our family and the villa exceeded all our expectations. Wonderful with a fantastic view, the villa is thoughtfully designed with a well catered for kitchen and dining areas inside and out. Although it was April, we managed to enjoy the pool, and relaxing on the loungers, which was framed by the gorgeous view of the bay. We easily travelled around the north and central parts of the island, and followed a few of stamatis’ recommendations - thank you! We even rented a car via his company Eurocars, which was very good. A truly memorable stay in Crete. Wholeheartedly recommend!

The name says it all. It was, in fact, a gem. A total gem. Gorgeous house, gorgeous pool, rooms were all great, great views, I can go on and on. Rafael was the man. The bomb. The guru. Let him recommend what to do and where to go and do what he says. His food recommendations, destination recommendations, l insights, helpfulness - all were spot on. We had a couple small pre-season kinks that needed to be ironed out but they did them instantaneously. One phone call and voila. Theo was so helpful in the lead-up as well. He helped organize things and even helped order legs of lamb for us to cook on Easter. He was great. So the place is 15 minutes from old town Rethymno and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I am writing this from old town where I am spending the next 2 days and I already miss being at that house. It was perfectly situated. Close enough to the hustle, but far enough away to decompress. It’s absolutely perfect. Thank you all for such a magnificent wedding week!

Amazing stay! Views from the mountainside are incredible to wake up to every morning including sunrise and sunset. The view from the infinity pool was fantastic and had toys for children. The host Mr. George was always accommodating and even brought us eggs one morning :) would highly recommend

Wonderful villa in great location for family Holliday. Facilities were great and as described. The garden is beautiful and adds to the feeling of the outside space. Good shade and sun spots in the garden at all times of day. We had a lovely time exploring the local area as well as going further afield to explore Create to the full. Lots of lovely walks possible from the villa and the local beaches perfect for low key family beach safe for kids. The bedrooms were all lovely especially the master beadroom with beautiful balcony. Host was fantastic at communication and helped us with any questions we had responding promptly and efficiently to any difficulties. Would highly recommend.

The villa is a most beautiful place for a relaxed family vacation. Quiet, spacious and with all the amenities for a relaxed stay. The next town is nearby, only a few minutes away by car. The local support is excellent, very friendly, very responsive and alert. All in all, a very recommendable place.

The house is simply gorgeous. Our family had a wonderful Christmas holiday here. The host was very generous with items in the refrigerator and a well stocked kitchen. Lots of recommendations of places to eat in the area. Michael met us in the driveway upon arrival and showed us everything in the house, that was very kind. Especially loved access to the washer and dryer because we were traveling with kids. It was too cold to use the pool, but if you are here when it is warm, it would be such delight.

I can’t thank Antonio, Yiannis & the Sueno team for such a great stay. Nothing was too much to ask and they were all available to help throughout my short stay. The villa is stunning with lots of lovely touches such as robe, slippers, shampoo & conditioner and even a welcome hamper! Thanks again for a wonderful stay and for being amazing hosts.

We stayed as a family of four for a week. The villa consisted a main floor with a modern, clean and well equipped kitchen, a comfortable sitting/dining room with lovely views over souda bay and towards chania. A large jacuzzi bath was also off the sitting area. The rest of this floor was three bedrooms and two bathrooms, one with a shower/ tub combo and the other a wetroom style. A further bedroom/ shower room was on the floor below via an outside staircase as well as a well equiped gym. The outside area was expansive and enough for our boys to run around. The villa also had a number of indoor and outdoor games for the boys to enjoy. But a lot of our time was spent in the heated pool! Overall, we had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The villa was very clean, comfortable with stunning hilltop views. The location was close to the airport, local resturants and shops and we had food delivered to us a number of times. A special point was the kindness and helpfulness of our hosts, thank you!

Alex was an amazing host right from booking. He’s super friendly & reply’s quickly to any questions. We had the warmest welcome on check in & the property is beautiful, with gorgeous & peaceful surroundings. You have all the utensils & cutlery you need for cooking, Alex was always on hand if we needed any help with anything. I will 100% be going back & it’s not something I often do so that says a lot about Alex & his property. Highly highly recommend this place.

Great stay at quiet villa I a quiet village (just us, the goats, chickens and cockrels and occasional horse) with fantastic views of the mountains. Good supply of kitchen equipment. We were very grateful for the wine, cake, fruit water and cheese on arrival. Although we did not organise any extracurricular activities with them, the managing company was proactive and responsive, polite and helpful. A car is a must to get around the island easily at your own pace and timetable. We visited beaches, caves, monestries and botanical gardens and ate at lovely restaurants as well as cooking at the Villa. If you like outdoor cooking and are a larger group (we were just two) there is a spacious outdoor kitchen including grill, and pizza/bread oven and sink all under a shading Olive tree at the back if the vila. Fully recommend a stay at the Villa and in Crete
