Book this Airbnb. Do not think twice. Nice to be greeted with wine and snacks after the flight over. 3 styles of coffee makers with coffee. Sugar, spices, olive oil and balsamic to get you started. 4 bedroom 3 full baths. Great living and cooking areas. Very spacious for our group of 7. Clean and comfortable. Equipped with everything you could ask for. We made a few terrific meals with the grill and kitchen equipment. Harilao has put a lot of thought and planning in to his home. Gorgeous outdoor space with heated pool. Indoors is clean and uncluttered. The views are lovely. 1 minute on walk up the street to fresh bread daily and cute market. 3 minute walk down the street is a bigger market. 4 minute walk to my favorite beach. 8 Euro for 2 chairs and an umbrella. Bar right there if you want a drink. Walk to coffee, pastries, restaurants and bars near by. We loved the home and beach so much that we slipped a few day trips. 5 stars. I hope to come back! Amazing home.

Tasos is an extremely welcoming host. When we arrived late, we found a generously stocked fridge and freezer. Fruits, jams, rusks and cold and hot drinks were waiting for us. And Tasos was absolutely adorable to make our stay easier. We really appreciate it. Her apartment is very nice , the jacuzzi and the beautiful view make it a rare find. We highly recommend this rental, even more appreciated thanks to the many details Tasos has thought of.

The places is perfect.

Great stay, great location, great views. Very close to many bars and restaurants. Not too noisy at night. The only slightly negative aspect was the shower. Basically made the entire floor flooded. Overall, i would recommend the place and would definitely return.

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

A lovely, luxury appartment near the beach and about 30 minutes' walk from the old town of Chania. A well-equipped, clean and beautiful appartment, but above all the warm and friendly hostess Anastasia. She guided us around the area, brought local delicacies, stocked the fridge with food and even drove us to the grocery store with her car. We really enjoyed our stay at the appartment and can wholeheartedly recommend it to others. You certainly wont't be disapointed!

The villa is even bigger and more beautiful than on the pictures. It is a little paradise with peacocks and own olive farm and little pond with red fish and parrots. It was just unbelievable! We celebrated our wedding with 30 people there and I could not imagine more suitable place for pictures, videos and fun! It is unforgettable, has everything you need and very private. The owner was so helpful and gave us his home made drinks as a gift. I am super happy that I found this paradise and will defo want to come back again and again!

Fantastic old traditional house, well preserved and carefully modernized. Kind hosts eager to assist and give recommendations of nice nearby places to visit. Amazing view of the valley.

There will not be enough superlatives to describe this place. The location overlooking the Venetian Harbor was amazing. The house is historic, beautiful and has all the amenities you will want. You literally won't believe the large rooftop deck with crazy views. The house had lots of interesting things to read, lots of space for a large group and it was stocked with maps and guidebooks. The neighborhood is completely safe. The in-person welcome from the hosts contained some really thoughtful surprises (you will need to find out yourself - I won't ruin the surprise welcome.). Lovely villa sitting in the hills outside of Rethymno City. All self contained and immaculately kept and maintained. Very responsive host who was most welcoming. Nikos and his daughter Katerina did a fantastic job responding to our needs and making us most welcome. Katerina has superb English so communication was never a problem. Would thoroughly recommend. It would also suggest you need a car to get about either down the hill to City and beaches or up the hill to mountain villages and exploring. Pool is great and outdoor space around the villa is superb. Reccomendations - we followed up on a few authentic tavernas from Katerina and they were superb. Would defo go and eat at Athivoles Taverna in Chromonastiri. Only a short drive away ie 7 km but basically the most authentic Cretan cuisine you will taste for sure. Hits were magnificent. All in all we had a great family holiday.

I had an incredible stay at Giorgos' apartment! The sea is literally the backyard, and starting every morning with the sound of the waves and finishing the day with a breathtaking sunset was definitely a highlight. The apartment itself is very comfortable, and falling asleep to the soothing sound of the ocean waves was just perfect. It's an easy and beautiful 30-minute walk to Chania town, and the WiFi was great for working remotely. Giorgos was an amazing host, going above and beyond to ensure all our needs were met. This is definitely one of the best Airbnbs I've stayed in – highly recommend!

We had a fantastic stay in Michalis's lovely corner suite. It was cozy, unique, and had everything we needed, plus nice extras like a washer, a second bathroom and street parking (just do an extra lap around the block). The location was ideal, with traditional windows opening to a garden and ruins, and it was a short walk to everything while being away from the Old City crowds. Michalis was an amazing host—very responsive, provided great local tips, and even took time to offer us coffee and chat. He’s definitely one of the best hosts I've ever met. I highly recommend this place and a stay with Michalis!!

A pleasant stay surrounded by nature in an area with a tidy garden, flowering plants, trees. The opportunity to enjoy nature, the environment and the sun at various times of the day, it has been furnished with cozy awnings and gazebos in various places in the garden , by the pool and in front of the house. It is possible to prepare a meal yourself in the kitchen, or on a live fire in the garden. For a cooler evening or romance there is a kindling fireplace in the house. Really liked the proximity to nature, no city noises and hustle, at the same time the city Heraklion can be reached by about 10-12 minutes by car. We felt cozy, the hosts were responsive and hospitable.

Fantastic property with its own terrace affording great views over Chania. Loungers, tables, chairs, coffee table, soft chairs all there for our own personal use. Large canopy affording shade to sit under. Inside a gem. Spotless interia with quality bed linen and a beautiful set table with linen napkins. All you need in the kitchen, plenty of crockery and cutelry, pans etc. Large TV with Netflix available. Anastasia was an attentive host availanble to assist if/when required very swiftly. Recommend this accomodation for couples.

Just wonderful and more! Irini could not have been a more welcoming, attentive, wonderful host. The villa is amazing, tucked away in Adele with lots of privacy. A car is definitely needed and parking could be tricky. There for our son’s wedding and we did have a few experiences not in the guide book - 6.2 earthquake and sandstorm from Sahara but Irini was there, sorting things out, bringing us pastries and gifts. A truly memorable and fantastic time. Highly recommend both the gorgeous villa (cats and kittens included!) and our host, lovely Irini. Thank you for having us!

I rested with my friends in this villa, it was fantastic, a very quiet and relaxing place, a great restaurant is nearby, all the necessary infrastructure is 15 minutes away by car, this place is exactly what you need after a noisy busy city, I sincerely recommend it

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we had a fantastic time and stay at Olive Villa. Panagiotis and Olga are an absolutely delightful couple as well as kind, generous and hard-working hosts. It is clear that they both take great pride in their home and also go out of their way to ensure the accommodation and facilities they provide for their guests are of an extremely high standard. We were hugely impressed by and spent a lot of time relaxing in the beautiful garden (immaculately tended) as well as in the swimming pool (very clean and well-maintained) and dining in the outside bbg area (fantastically set out and equipped). We cannot recommend it highly enough and dearly hope to be able to return in the not too distant future!

It was a perfect place! George and family were very welcoming! Our daughter was even allowed to play upstairs with his children! Apartment was nice, spacious and very clean! With large balconies (with fantastic views) and a spacious garden that was perfect for our 4 year old daughter. From the garden, we got lettuce, eggs, sheep's milk and olive oil. Close to the beach, nice restaurants and hiking trails. Worth repeating! We enjoyed it :).

We, a family of 2 adults and to kids (age 7 and 9) spent a week in this beautiful villla and we had a wonderful holiday. The spacious, tastefully decorated villa had all the amenities for a relaxing stay. The outdoor space was a highlight, featuring a large terrace, sun loungers, a private pool, and a barbecue area, perfect for enjoying the sun, swimming and dining. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, responding quickly. They were also flexible with regards to arrival and departure, which we truly appreciated.

Beautiful peaceful relaxing villa for a getaway. Close enough to larger centre. The place was spotless on arrival, with some treats on the table. Wonderful view, nice pool area The host was very helpful, brought us a wonderful Greek dinner one evening. Top notch Would definitely return to this place

We had an amazing stay in casa Elegante. The villa was beautiful and even better than the photos. I cannot thank Antonis enough for his hospitality from the lovely fresh gifts he left us on our first day to the cleaning of the villa and pool after a dust storm on our second day. Antonis and his team worked very hard to clean the pool and outside areas for us to be able use again straight away. The villa has everything and more that you need. The brilliant heated pool for children (small separate children’s pool), which was perfect for our 18month old and children’s play area were a great hit. The villa was spotless and everything had been thought of. There is even a gym and sauna. The villa is set in a lovely traditional village, with 3 lovely tavernas, butchers and local shop. We didn’t need to leave the village at night and the locals were very welcoming. We would definitely love to see more of Crete, it’s very beautiful and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at Casa Elegante again!

Sofia’s house is simply amazing. The view is beautiful, and the indoor and outdoor space is perfect for a wonderfully relaxed holiday. The outdoor sofa area and bbq area behind the house are perfect for a family, and the pool is a wonderful addition with lots of space to sunbathe, swim and play. The pictures capture the house brilliantly, and it does look exactly like them. Sofia gave us some brilliant suggestions of things to do, and places to eat, and was so responsive during our time with her if anything went wrong. Nothing was too much trouble! I’ve seen some reviews about the drive to the house, and if you’ve driven in mountains before you’ll have no problem. There are a few steep corners and hairpin bends, but absolutely nothing to worry about. Just try to arrive in the daytime if you’re worried. Also, remember to do your food shopping before you head to the house as there aren’t many local options. Amazing place and we’re already thinking when we can return!
