Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Rensselaer County

The cottage was conveniently located only 8 minutes from the Impact athletic center so it was perfect for my family while we were in the area for a basketball tournament. Mary Jo was a great hostess and responded very quickly to all messages! Would definitely stay here again.

Nana's place on the lake was just what we were looking for: A quiet, warm, cozy and homey spot with a deck and a view. The Hot Tub added to the enjoyment of the stay and was well cared for and clean. Chris was very accommodating and was quick to remove/manage the snow during our stay. Enjoyed watching the ice fishers work their craft and people walking the ice of the lake. We saw just one snowmobiler running around on the lake and that was just for a short time. Everyone on this lake seems very respectful and in tune with the mellow vibe. I hope we get the chance to return when the weather is warmer to play in the water.

Our stay at Barry and Alisha’s place was absolutely amazing! The house is spacious, beautiful, and full of character, with thoughtful details that made it truly special—especially the room with the hidden entry, which was such a fun touch. The property itself is incredible, with the biggest lot we’ve ever seen and private trails that are perfect for relaxing walks. It’s a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, and we left feeling refreshed and recharged. Barry and Alisha were wonderful hosts, and their attention to detail made our stay even better. We had an unforgettable time and would highly recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat. Can’t wait to come back!

Trina’s place was so wonderful. The location was perfect. Just a few minutes to the ski resort which was amazing. The surroundings were so beautiful to wake up to! The pool table was a big hit with my group we had so much fun. Just keep a look out when arriving or you might miss the driveway.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s place. It was very conveniently located to the base of Jiminy Peak, which made getting to and from the mountain very easy. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed. We used the fireplace twice and it was super easy. Having access to the facilities at The Country Inn at Jiminy Peak was great as I am injured and can’t ski currently, so instead I went to the gym each day. My family didn’t want to leave and my kids are asking when we can go back!

The house was very spacious, the kids ranging from 6-10 loved the games, especially cue ball and fuzz ball. The adults loved the fact there was a lower half where the kids can watch movies and play, while the adults did grown up chatting in the living space. A memorable ski weekend that everyone enjoyed to the fulliest and sad it went so fast. We look forward returning one day in the spring or summer to see a different aspect of the area. Thank you!

We enjoyed our stay. The house is very cozy and clean. The backyard was my favorite part, since we were travelling with our dog and he very much enjoyed freedom in the yard and a nice weather! The area is very peaceful and quiet.

Our hosts were very easy to work with. I felt they cared about our visit and wanted to accommodate us in any way that would make her stay even more pleasurable. The house offered every convenience, including kitchen items for make-at-home meals. Thanks so much, Brandon and Brian!

A great place for a skiing getaway at Jiminy Peek Resort! Ski - in, ski -out, a lovely appointed condo, with access to a hot tub. Frank was most helpful and friendly. I highly recommend his place.

Very friendly and hospitable host who left out snacks and anything we might have forgotten. Felt at home and place had everything we needed. I had difficulty finding driveway because it was dusk but I saw a sign during the day. The unit is attached to another house which I didn’t realize in advance and went into wrong driveway.

My stay was smooth and the condo was nice. I was on a business trip so I didn't have much time in the room besides sleeping which was quiet

Needed a place for the month and the Nook was the perfect alternative to an extended stay. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating for my timeline. The Nook is charming and everything the description says, no hidden surprises like some other AB&Bs. Clean, quiet, friendly, couldn't ask for much more. Would highly recommend!

Joseph was incredibly kind and welcoming, and immediately responsive to a variety of questions! The lodging was an excellent deal for our a cappella group, and was conveniently close to Saratoga. The only comments I would make were that it was a little cold in the living room/kitchen, but it was also a bitterly cold weekend outside. Overall though, Joseph is an excellent host, and the lodging just can’t be beat for its price. A wonderful deal!

We had a great stay at the end of ski season; the place was quiet and relaxing. We will definitely return!

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway in the NY mountain woods and love the rustic brewery experience, this is an awesome place to stay! We enjoyed driving the mountain roads by day, exploring neighboring towns (especially getting a mineral spring spa bath and filling a few gallon jugs at the Saratoga Spa State Park with the State Seal mineral water). By night we enjoyed the various beer offerings of Jon the Beer Diviner in the brewery, especially liked the Stout and the Scotch Ale (Glen was right : ) Saturday night we loved the live music and delicious pizza too. Great fire pits on the deck which we enjoyed mostly on our last night all by ourselves after everyone left. Peaceful, eclectic place and exceptionally nice folks, Cindy and Jon! Got some great ideas from the local patrons, Cohoes Falls for one! And even though the weekend was rainy and it snowed as we were leaving, we thoroughly enjoyed this off the beaten path gem in the woods and you will too! We will def be back <3

Hi Wendy, Aside from the surprise of the steep driveway, your place was fantastic. The drive way was ok once you did it a few times but I suspect it is not available in winter. The house is cozy and really nice. I left a message in your log book also. If you have not had the chance to see Eastfield Village, it is only a few miles from you and really a nice place to visit. We had a great stay! The house had everything you could possibly need—very well-equipped and perfect for families. It was especially great for kids, with lots to do to keep them entertained. The backyard was beautiful and peaceful, and the beds were super comfortable. Overall, a relaxing and enjoyable getaway!

This house was so much fun! Awesome river access, a clean pool, fun things to do in the house. Nice and open spaces so everyone felt included at all times. The host was super helpful and friendly! 10/10 recommend

Absolutely perfect. Don't pass up the opportunity to stay at this cabin! She describes it well, beautiful view, private, stunning view. Towpath landing is so cool and Christine has a vision. I was a victim of Hurricane Helene, Christine had such a heard and genuinely cared for me, giving me a place to stay and heal, recover. Highly recommend staying here, supporting the property and it's heart. Not like other places in all the best ways. You'll feel at home, cozy, welcome, relaxed the whole time. The sun room was just the best for sipping coffee and watched leaves fall. Thanks so much for an incredible stay! Can't wait to come back and tell others to visit!

Thank you for hosting us for the weekend! We had the most relaxing stay, it was exactly what we needed. Truly never would have had to leave the property if we didn't want to. Perfect getaway.

Mike was very responsive in his communication and wanted to make sure that we had the best possible trip. He was incredibly accommodating and helped our group have the ideal weekend getaway. We got a little snow but otherwise would have enjoyed hiking around the property--there's plenty to explore!

This was my 2nd time staying here and it was just as great! This time it was during the winter when I really needed to rely on the woodstove for heat. That stove gets cranking after a good layer of hot coals are established. I have to say, though, the only thing I would love to see is a damper/flue on the stove. Without those them it causes a lot of smoke to come out into the cabin when adding wood/tending to the fire. I feel it would help control the level of heat and smoke that much better. Everything else was absolutely perfect. I can’t wait for my 3rd stay.

I genuinely can’t say enough about this place. It’s absolutely beautiful! Thoughtfully designed, super clean, and filled with the kind of details that make you feel at home. The plants throughout the space add such a calm, lived-in vibe, and the views are unreal. The outdoor areas were perfect for lounging while it was warmer (we visited mid April) but it’s definitely a spot you can enjoy in any season! The bathrooms and appliances, the WHOLE place is all super modern and brand new, but still feels really cozy and welcoming. And the host are truly one of the best we’ve ever encountered. So kind, so responsive, and even sent over local event links to help us find cool things to do in the area on Easter Sunday! We’ve stayed in a lot of Airbnbs over the years, and this one is easily in our top 5. Zero regrets booking it and we’re already looking forward to coming back!
