A Perfect Lakeside Getaway! We had an absolutely amazing stay at this beautiful lake house on Burden Lake! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how clean, cozy, and well-appointed everything was. The views of the lake are simply stunning—whether you're sipping coffee on the deck in the morning or enjoying a peaceful sunset in the evening, it's pure serenity. The house had everything we needed and more: comfortable beds, and thoughtful touches throughout. We especially loved spending time by the water, relaxing on the private dock. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and responsive, making the whole experience seamless from start to finish. Burden Lake is such a hidden gem—peaceful, not too crowded, and close enough to nearby towns if you want to explore a bit or grab a bite to eat. We left feeling refreshed and already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend for couples, families, or anyone looking to escape to nature.

We absolutely loved our stay at Amanda & Jason’s place. What a gem! Very private, the cottage is literally our dream house for weekend gateways. We were even able to go skiing close by, and were surrounded by snow all weekend. They arranged for someone to clean the driveway just in time for our departure. We’ll definitely be back!

Place was very clean with modern amenities.

The house was very spacious, the kids ranging from 6-10 loved the games, especially cue ball and fuzz ball. The adults loved the fact there was a lower half where the kids can watch movies and play, while the adults did grown up chatting in the living space. A memorable ski weekend that everyone enjoyed to the fulliest and sad it went so fast. We look forward returning one day in the spring or summer to see a different aspect of the area. Thank you!

Very peaceful! Space was comfortable and it was nice to have a relaxing getaway and take a step back from work. Can’t wait to book again in the summer and take full advantage of what the lake has to offer! Lauren was an excellent host and very communicative.

I usually have good luck with airbnb but Claire’s place was exceptional. The accommodations (bedroom, bathroom and sitting room) were newly renovated and set off but adjacent to the kitchen and breakfast area. The house is surrounded by beautiful gardens with multiple sitting areas. Claire is amenable and thoughtful. Her cats and the kittens she was fostering were friendly and entertaining. In all I couldn’t think of a better situation. It was convenient to my work (a 15 minute straight shot to Saratoga Springs) and so relaxing.

I had a wonderful long stay at the Sawmill. It’s a unique spot in a great location. Just a couple minutes to some cute restaurants and shopping in New Lebanon and only about 15 minutes to either Pittsfield, MA or Chatham, NY. It’s very roomy and comfortable. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The house was well provided. Everything I could think of, whether it was in the kitchen, bathroom or recommendations and reading material was close at hand. Only wish I could’ve stayed longer.

If you love an old-style New York camp with tons of outdoor things to do with energetic kids and teens, this place is for you! Babcock lake is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful. Indoor and outdoor fireplaces, and a hot tub are great amenities. The host is very responsive, and the camp is very comfy. We'll be back again in the future. Thanks Tatyana!

We had a wonderful time! The views of the lake and sunrise were amazing and there are no words to describe the old world charm of a true wrap around porch. Very clean and comfortable accommodation as well as a host who was extremely responsive with the one and only question we had since communication was already great. I would definitely book again.

Joe is an amazing host! Very warm, friendly and responsive. I love his place - it has a character (old beams), big comfortable rooms, nice garden on the backyard. My cats were welcomed - I appreciated it a lot, they also loved it and had long corridor to run around and lots of windows to look at. The location is very rural - basically in a forest (I saw 2 volchers eating a rabbit, hit by a car), yet not far from all the attractions of the Berkshire. Highly recommend this place!

So grateful to stay at Joseph's! Very peaceful, beautiful location. Joesph provided a lot of thoughtful amenities like spices, pasta, coffee, and more. The apartment is tastefully decorated, large, and the porch is an added bonus.

This is a very special property. I grew up only 15 minutes from this "pond"/lake, and it is truly a hidden gem! Fully restored in the classic style of the rustic upstate lake camp, but updated, and finely appointed with everything you could possibly need or want. This property has craftsmanship, care, and attention to detail across every square inch. My family and I had a dreamy week here, with some local fam exclaiming; "I had no idea this lake was so gorgeous!" In my opinion, skip Lake George and the crowds -- come here to rest and enjoy silence and fireflies. I am already making mental plans for next year. Thank-you to Sheila and Eric for this slice of heaven, with brand new memories for us all. xx

A lovely home and great place to stay....

Christie was a great host. We needed to reach out to her while we were there, and she responded immediately. It was a cold evening, and we enjoyed sitting around the fire. The master bed was very comfortable!

We had an absolutely wonderful 4-day stay at 13 Damond Road in New Lebanon, NY, during Thanksgiving. The house was cozy, well-equipped, and perfect for a relaxing holiday getaway. The serene location provided a peaceful retreat, and the surrounding views were stunning, especially in the crisp fall weather. We were traveling with our two teenage children, and the home provided the perfect setting for us to spend quality time together. From preparing our Thanksgiving meal in the well-stocked kitchen to enjoying family conversations in the inviting living spaces, every moment felt special and memorable. The hosts, Paul and Kaveri, were incredibly thoughtful and responsive, ensuring that we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We truly enjoyed our time here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil and family-friendly place to stay.

Everything was exactly as it was in the Description. It was a bit tricky finding the exact location reason being it was dark out when we arrived. However, Ann & Francois were great and responded quickly and stood on the phone with us and guided us until we arrived at the front door. all-inall it was a very pleasant stay and experience. We will definitely look forward to another visit. I recommend this place to all who enjoy these types of experiences.
