Vacation rentals with breakfast in Rensselaer County

Susan is a wonderful host and a very lovely person! We had a very nice time staying at Susan's place! It was very warmly feeling to get a delicious breakfast made by Susan, and we especially loved the apple cobbler made by Susan. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality :). We would love to come to your place again!

Our host, Rachel, was very welcoming, courteous and willing to accommodate us in anyway possible. The location was perfect for our trip. Our accommodations were just as described, clean and had everything we needed.

This was out second time staying here and it was perfect.

Claire’s place is what AirBnB should be about and why it used to be so good before corporate owners started buying and renting out sterile, impersonal spaces. At Claire’s you are a guest in someone’s real home, and someone who makes you feel like you are home with family. The home is warm and comfortable. The downstairs suite where I stayed had a large comfortable entry area with couch, chairs and television which was divided from the rest of the house by solid folding doors. Off of the entry space is your bedroom with an extremely comfortable bed, and off the bedroom is an en suite bathroom with a great walk in shower. I truly felt like I was staying with family, having use of the fridge and kitchen. Claire made some amazing breakfasts which were a great start to my workdays. An extra bonus was getting to meet and spend time with two of Claire’s close friends, Diane and Nancy. I had such a great time with them all. The cats of the house are loving and friendly. A wonderful stay!!

We stayed while visiting union college. I needed a good, relatively inexpensive option as we were visiting a lot of different places. Dillon's place was very clean and well maintained. There was some noise from the neighbors, but it's an apartment so no big deal for us. Great deal for a centrally located 2 bedroom.

places great except the health club is closed and the pool is closed. Breakfast and hotel staff are good as well. Located conveniently close to Albany food co-op, Price chopper, and Hannaford plazas.

Great stay. Was just what we needed for a three week work trip and didn’t have the busy traffic of the city, but was close enough to be in the city within ten minutes. Fast WiFi.

We booked a quick in and out mini trip from Long Island. It was so easy to get there, perfect location if you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle and need to unplug for a bit. We booked one of the larger apartments since we were traveling with 3 kids and our dog. We felt right at home, the design and decor allowed us to cozy up quickly. They put effort into the small details that provide the comfort you’re looking for when being away from home. Tons of games to play with the family, comfortable mattresses, perfect lighting, stocked kitchen. Everything you need to start a fire outside along with s’mores kits. The boys played ball and with a few other things that were provided in the outdoor bins. The kids were also very interested learning about the history of the actual hotel and location, and how the history of it has been preserved while creating something beautiful and cozy for families. The place smelled great and was spotless.

Cute & comfortable B&B. Rooms are clean with antiques that fit the ambiance perfectly. Charles was a great host, who is welcoming and enjoys getting to know his guests. Breakfast of delicious local pastries & fresh fruit was ready every morning. Pet friendliness was appreciated. I will stay here again when in the area.

Staying at the Green Farm is truly a joyful and must-have experience when in the Troy area. John is an exceptional host, providing meticulous care and attention not only to his guests but to the home itself. From the beginning, you are welcomed by beautiful greyhounds and a thoughtful host who prepares the most delicious breakfast! I stayed in the John Waters room, which was amazing—very eclectic, remarkably clean, and the perfect little nook to rest after scouting around town. Whether you’re there for work or leisure, all the amenities provided are top-notch. I definitely will be going back, dreaming of another little getaway!

As the other reviews have mentioned, John is a beyond excellent host!!! And very responsive! He is also very knowledgeable and helpful regarding shops and restaurants in Troy. Nigel and Margaret (John’s greyhounds) are also very good companions at this Inn! The decor in the rooms and in the shared rooms and hallways is just beautiful and very interesting! And he serves delicious homemade breakfast! With alfresco dining as an option in the warmer weather.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I found the inn last minute and couldn’t have been more pleased. The place is gorgeous and clean. John is the most kind and gracious host, and breakfast was delicious. We stayed because we had a concert in Saratoga Springs. What a beautiful and comfortable place to come home to for the night. We hope our adventures bring us to Troy again soon.

We could not have loved the Gardner Farm Inn and John more! Everything was perfect - both our air-conditioned bedroom and bathroom were spacious, beautifully appointed, and extremely clean. The king-sized bed in our room was deliciously comfortable and quiet. Our breakfast was sumptuous and delectable. John is a delight, and went out of his way to accommodate our arrival. His two dogs are the sweetest, gentlest creatures imaginable. And you will fall in love with the 1790's era house and its amazing collection of curios. Highly recommend staying here - it's a real treat!

I discovered the town of Troy and Charles’s beautiful historical flat by accident , and what a wonderful surprise it was! The flat is in a fantastic location, right next to the Hudson River and just a short drive distance away from downtown. The apartment itself is full of charm and character, it truly feels like stepping into a museum. Charles is a warm, open, and curious host with a laid-back vibe. We shared a lovely breakfast together, which made the experience even more memorable. Overall, a truly amazing and unique stay. Highly recommended!
