Vacation rentals with beach access in Rekawa Lagoon

Very nice Villa! We enjoyed it very much!

Great hosts, available, we had three bedrooms on the top floors with a view of the ocean. Kitchen available. We were able to leave our board bags and laundry for a few days to go for a walk in the north. Recommended!

The airbnb is part of Thevi Cafe. It is a 3 level house, with the cafe on the bottom, 4 bedrooms on level 2 and 4 bedrooms on level 3. We stayed on level 2 and used all 4 bedrooms for a family getaway. It was a great choice. Each room had an ensuite and air con and fan and mosquito net. The rooms all had a balcony which connected. Thevi Cafe downstairs is able to cook any type of food that you like and it makes life very easy. I would definitely recommend staying here especially if you have a big group

We loved it here. A short walk to a reef break. Amazing breakfast & coffees. Lovely chilled vibe with the kindest of staff. We were so sad to leave. Can’t recommend it enough.

Sahans fatter and mother greeted us in their garden with open arms and fresh cut coconuts, and their house is very nice. The room were very nice, but the balcony/terasse espaecially. Sarath helped us with whale watching booking, and even drive us there! This family is so, so sweet, and Sahan even offered to be our driver as for visiting Sinharaja rainforest and Uduwalawa. He is a super good guy and a very safe driver. Being with him and his family was a wonderful experience for us❤ we would definitely go again:)

We really loved our stay in the apartment. It's very nicely designed and has everything that's needed. Also, we really enjoyed cooking in the outside kitchen. The place has a nice working area if you ever need to be productive. Eva was a great host. She was there for us all the time and helped us a lot with everything. The beach is very close and several shops aren't far away.

We stayed 2 nights at Casa MiJa, and totally loved every minute of it. Mani, caretaker for the villa was very helpful and made the entire experience worth it. He made sure we were at ease at all times and sorted anything and everything out for us that we needed any assistance with. The villa was amazing, and the location was perfect. Beautiful beach adjacent to it. The only drawback of it was the common areas of the villa do not have air conditioning, so with the weather running quite hot; we couldn’t use it or spend as much time there as we would have liked to. If they can fix that, this would be the best villa to stay at in the area. Everything else was amazing. Would definitely want to stay here again when I’m back in Mirissa, Sri Lanka.

We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Andy and Daniel’s beautiful pool house, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed – Andy and Daniel are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts you could hope for. The pool house itself is lovely, and especially our daughter very much enjoyed the pool. We tried the home cooked breakfast and dinner as well, which was delicious! Andy went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and her warmth and hospitality made our stay all the more memorable. It’s rare to find an airbnb that feels so effortlessly welcoming. Can’t recommend this magical place enough!

The location of the house was absolutely stunning. Right on the beach which was empty and felt like our own was dreamy, peaceful and idyllic. Lakmal, Dulan and Nihal were so helpful and attentive to all our needs. The breakfasts and dinners Lakmal made every day were absolutely stunning! We had so much variety and a real taste of Sri Lankan cuisine. They looked after us so well and arranged tuk tuks for us when we wanted them. It’s worth taking toiletries as these weren’t provided but honestly i would absolutely recommend this house as a great base to do a morning safari and enjoy the peaceful surrounds. Great value for money!

An incredible stay! The accommodation was fantastic—stylish, comfortable, and set in the perfect location with stunning views over the water. We loved that it was just out of the main strip, offering peace and privacy while still being close to everything. Communication was excellent throughout; the hosts were responsive and helpful. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again!

This was a great place to stay in Hiriketiya. Short walk to the main areas with restaurants and the beach in both Hiri and Dickwella, but removed enough that it was quiet and peaceful. The pool was very nice and clean and was refreshing to dip in the heat. WiFi was very strong (worked remotely with zoom calls). Air conditioning was very strong as well and no bugs inside the apartment. The host was super friendly and cooked us a traditional breakfast to celebrate Sri Lankan new year (for free) which was amazing. Highly recommend staying here!

Just wow. Brilliant. From location to accommodation to host and staff. Everything was perfect. Normally i find things to pick on but here everything was just perfect! Food great too! Highly recommend floating breakfast. The maid noticed i liked the flowers from breakfast so instead of taking it back they made sure to bring vases and place them everywhere in the room. Checkin in flexible. Food recommendations great. Great views. Will def come back!

If I could give Ben’s place 10 stars it would totally worth it! The most amazing Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Starting with the warmest welcome by the villa’s staff to the villa itself which is even more beautiful than the photos. We were a group of 4, and the villa suited our needs and much further. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped with small details in mind. The views of course are spectaculars and you basically have your own private beach. The area is private and quiet, you do need to take tuk tuk for the nearest village for restaurants and shops. Hirikiteya is 10 min ride and is a very cute village with some great restaurants and nice atmosphere. For us, this arrangement of being secluded but a short drive away was exactly what we were looking for. Finally, Lakshman the villa’s manager was super friendly, arranging tuk tuks for us in short notice and always very attentive.

Pavi, Bathi and their family and friends are the loveliest of people, always ready to help or offer advice when needed. Our apartment was situated on the 2nd floor and was lovely, bedroom and bathroom bare very large as is the kitchen diner, if there was anything you needed Pavi got it sorted asap, the grounds are immaculate and have a plethora of wildlife wandering the grounds, the use of the swimming pool was a great addition. Polhena itself is situated in a great spot for travelling out from and has a wonderful little beach(it does get busy at weekends). Shops are in walking distance as is the main town of Matara or a short fun tuk tuk ride. Colombo and other places are easily accessible via buses or train, both a fun way to travel. We will be back.

I highly recommend Sanjayas place, it is in a quiet and beautiful area with its own private entrance, walking distance to the local restaurants and beaches. The room was perfect with a great terrace, Sanjaya and his family are wonderful. I hope to be back again.

We had a wonderful stay at Sahan’s place - the location was perfect being a few minutes walk from Blue Beach on one side and Hiriketiya on the other with amazing restaurant/ seafood choices. Avisa was always on hand with great suggestions of what to do and he booked us lots of TukTuks and taxis, he was very helpful. He also served a great breakfast in the garden every morning. The only downside is that the living room part of the apartment became very hot, but the views to the sea from there were great.
