Lovely house , felt right at home nice to go back to after a hard days work. Would visit again when we are in the area.

Home from home. Catered for the whole family, including our three dogs. Great location for watching our daughter play for England under 18s six nations also a great place for her to come and relax for her afternoon off and have a long soak in the bath very much needed for a rugby player. Lots of places to visit locally like Ascott and Windsor Castle. Chloe was very helpful too.

Our stay at this amazing piece of architecture and home was absolutely exceptional! From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by the thoughtful layout and impressive design. The space was vast and beautifully appointed, offering everything we could possibly need and more. The huge windows were a particular highlight, flooding the house with natural light and providing stunning views. Our daughter spent hours gazing out of them! The garden was another major plus, a true haven for our dog who had the time of his life. A special mention must go to Ester, the owners' friendly dog, who became a wonderful playmate. This house truly felt like a luxurious retreat, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a stylish, spacious, and pet-friendly getaway. Excellent barn to stay on with fantastic grounds and fabulous pool and hot tub. David is an attentive host and deals with any issues instantly Highly recommended

The barn is beautiful and very well fitted out. Fabulous setting, absolutely stunning and super peaceful and quiet. The one bathroom was challenging at times with a party of adults but the rest of the barn is faultless and such a joy to stay in. The tennis court and other amenities were fabulous.

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

A idyllic location, the perfect place for a first glamping experience with my children. A lovely clean and spacious tent with great outdoor activities. Everything needed was provided, plenty of lighting which was really helpful and clean bathroom facilities. The pool was kindly prepared for us and the kids had great fun in this. Really peaceful and beautiful surroundings, a truly gorgeous piece of land. Thank you for having us 🙂

This house was easily one of the best airbnb houses I have ever stayed in. Mark was helpful, communicated with ease and the you tube videos of all possible 'tricky' points preempted any questions we might have had. The house was so well equipped that we wanted for nothing whilst we were there, plenty of space and beautifully clean. I would and will happily book this house again without hesitation.

A great stay. Very well equipped and comfortable. The basket of logs and kindling was a thoughtful touch. Light sleepers may prefer the master bedroom, as there is traffic noise/Light from the smaller room.

The cottage is peaceful and private, as well as being in a beautiful location. Alastair and Vicky are excellent hosts and were most responsive to my requests. Highly recommended.

We booked this place to visit various family members which were all located in Surrey and Hampshire. As we had a young Springador with us it was essential that there was a garden and the owners of the lodge very kindly have the whole garden available and she certainly made use of it. The walks from the door were very easy to follow and were various lengths and abilities so there’s something for everyone. On arrival there was a delightful homemade marmalade cake waiting for our attendance. That was and still is being dutifully attended to and that really was quite exceptional. The hosts were friendly and approachable and provided extra chairs for us as our son visited us one of the evenings. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a stay at this Woodland Hideaway.

We stayed for a weekend at Colin’s and Jane’s hut whilst we explored the local area to potentially relocate. It’s in an absolutely stunning location with picturesque views and walks near the local common. I couldn’t recommend it enough. The hut itself has everything you need, big enough that you don’t feel claustrophobic but very cosy, we were left some bread, eggs, milk and butter which was a nice surprise when we arrived. We stayed with our dog who quickly felt right at home especially when he met Blue (Colin and Jane’s dog) he was a lovely dog who kept ours entertained whilst we picked Colin’s brain about Newbury and the surrounding area. Overall a really great stay and we would definitely stay again! Thank you so much!
