The town of Wehlen is located in the Upper Elbe Valley in the heart of Saxon Switzerland National Park. The tranquil health resort looks back on almost 800 years of history. The market house is a historic gem and is a listed building, designated as the first hostel of Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the historic castle ruin. The vaulted cellars date back to 1527, while the main house was built in 1734 in the Franconian half-timbered style.

In about 600 m you can reach the Elbe bike path, the ferry dock, the adventure pool and restaurants. Good starting point for hikes, bike rides, as well as visits to castles and castles as well as sights. In about 500 m there is the S-Bahn station "Stadt Wehlen". From here, you can reach the culture city Dresden in 30 minutes.

Here you have an ideal starting point for hikes and exploration tours into the rock world of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains with its mountains to conquer and wildly romantic valleys. The city center and public transport S-Bahn, bus and boat are a 10-15 minute walk away.

A comfortable and family-friendly apartment with kitchen, bedroom and shower and toilet awaits you. The apartment can accommodate 2 people. In addition, there are 2 extra bed options. A travel cot for infants is available. The rooms are painted with natural colours and the wooden floors are treated with natural wax and are therefore particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. The apartment is located in the ambience of the Rathewalder mill, right next to the bastion and directly adjacent to the core zone of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. The famous painter's path leads directly past. Ideal for trips to the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, but also to the surroundings of Pirna and Dresden.

Königstein Cottage

Small, cozy apartment with large natural garden located on the south side of Königstein Fortress. The apartment can be used for up to 4 people. In the house there is a fireplace for the cool days and in the garden you can barbecue or simply enjoy the great starry sky at night. There are plenty of climbing and hiking opportunities in the area. It should be noted that there is no wifi in the cottage.
