The smaller room has two single beds. There's free wifi (300Mb) in both rooms. Also free Netflix There's a large bathroom with toilet, changing table, baby tub, shower, and underfloor heating. We supply bed linen and towels There are two private terraces. One facing west and one with a beautiful view facing east. Here you can enjoy your morning coffee or your evening dinner. You can cook yourself in the kitchenette or order pizzas from our local pizza bakery (300 meters away). There's only 400 meters to several grocery stores. 2 playgrounds within 200 meters

Nature cabin Gademosen in the heart of Himmerland. It is a 1 bedroom cottage with sofa bed and dining table. There is a kitchenette with a fridge-freezer and a wardrobe. At the end of the cottage is an outdoor kitchen with cold water, oven and stove. A lovely terrace. A little further away, there is a toilet building with a toilet and sink with cold water. No bath. Bed linen, linens and towels are included in the price. Breakfast can be purchased. Within walking distance is Himmerland Football Golf and open garden by appointment. Countryside vacation apartment

Cozy 1st floor apartment on our farm, located in rural surroundings. The home is centrally located in East Jutland, 18 km from Aarhus C and 9 km from the access road to the E45 motorway. The apartment has a south/east-facing terrace, where you can grill or light a fire. There is room for four guests with the possibility of extra beds. We have a sweet, child-friendly and calm dog, as well as four tame cats, who roam freely on the property. The dog and cats are not allowed in the apartment.

The apartment is located at the east end of a beautiful farmhouse from 1874 with large garden and outdoor areas. The apartment is centrally located towards both city and nature - with only 3 km to fishing and walking at Løgten Strand, and about 20 minutes drive to Aarhus and Mols Bjerge.

If you want to experience Denmark from its beautiful and quiet side, then “Vidkærhøj” is the place for you. The home is part of our property from the 1870s, and was originally an old barn, which we have lovingly restored over the past few years. It is centrally located between Aarhus, Silkeborg and Skanderborg. It is high up here, and if you like, our dog, Aggie, would love to greet you, just as our cats, chickens and rooster are also very curious. We can’t wait to host you 🤗

House in the country - The Retro House

Note! Limited bookings spring/summer 2025 due to construction work on the farm! Welcome to Vandbakkegaarden’s Retro House. Here you will find nature, peace and plenty of cosiness in authentic surroundings. The house is the original cottage built around 1930, while we live in a newer house on the property. The house deserves to be lived in and cared for, and you – our guests, contribute to that. We also appreciate offering our guests a different type of holiday and on a budget.

Cabin to the nature lovers

Experience nature close to Rørbæk lake, at the Jutland ridge, (30 min. walk from the cabin), springs Denmark's two largest rivers, Gudenåen and Skjernåen, with only a few hundred meters distance and runs in different directions towards the sea(10 min. walk from the cabin) In the same place, Hærvejen crosses the river valley. Wake up every day with different birdsong. From Billund airport by bus it is about 2 hours to the cabin We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do!
