The wildlife was beyond anything we imagined—we saw monkeys, sloths, toucans, and even scarlet macaws right from the balcony! But what truly made this trip unforgettable was Jeff. He went above and beyond to make our experience seamless and unforgettable. From arranging transportation and excursions to giving us the best local tips and planning out our whole itinerary, Jeff was the ultimate host. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made us feel completely at home in paradise. We can’t recommend this place enough. Where do I possibly start my summation of this paradise? I'm writing this now while on the plane home. Reliving my experience at Chris & Kristen's propery gives me a smile on my face even when I must return home. The personal touch stood out in a magnificent way. The knowledge of the country, the region, the local places. I felt like I was the only person on their property to care for during my stay. After a rain storm, late at night... I was treated to a tour when the vegetation was at its glory. The sounds, scenery, plant life, and different species of life were amazing. The carefully planned out grounds are a treasure... And constantly being upgraded and cared for everyday. The Villa was awesome. Had everything needed. Beautifully air conditioned, and kept. Bed comfortable, great size refrigerator, and perfectly configured stove. The view from my Villa was incredible, to say the least. My new friends will see me again. Their striving for my comfort was unmatched! TY

Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

I booked this listing for a group of 8 women. We all needed time to get away from our busy lives in the U.S. The six nights at La Sombra were peaceful and inspiring! What a beautiful location and beautiful grounds. We were all stunned by the property, in a good way:) It was even better than the beautiful pictures provided. Each villa was appointed beautifully with quality linens, towels, robes, bath soaps, dishes, etc. We especially enjoyed the patio views and the design of the structures that incorporate natural light and the surrounding nature. We ate dinner each night on the patio of the main house, and found a spot for morning meditations on the bridge. Catherine and Ryan were available and responsive before, during and after our visit. And, I cannot say enough about the local cook, Marta. We all wanted to take her home with us! What a treat:) Thank you for sharing your home with us, Catherine and Ryan!

Wow!!! What an experience!! Whitney’s place was absolutely amazing!!! Perfect place for our family vacation. Enough room for everyone and space to not feel cluttered! Beautiful views & beautiful amenities!!! Simone was beyond helpful!!! Such an amazing woman and made so many amazing experiences with her! She made the entire trip seamless! She took us on our snorkeling tour & to spend the day with Indigenous Boruca Sergio & his mom. Such a beautiful experience. Vlad, our chef, was AMAZING!!!! He made each of our meals better than the next & my birthday extra special!!! We caught tuna & he switched it up and served it fresh that night!!! His bartending skills were on point too and he became like family!!! Don’t hesitate on staying here I promise you’ll love it!! Five stars all the way. Magnificent modern home with wall to wall windows upstairs looking into forested spaces and nicely manicured gardens. The rooms, pool, amenities, and service were excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

We were staying at a nearby Airbnb when it lost power. I found Lizette’s place and messaged asking if they had power. She was quick to respond that they did. Their self check in option made our emergency last minute check in a breeze. Any time we needed something she was so quick to respond. The place itself is in an insanely gorgeous location. It’s a gated community and very safe. Beautiful sunrises/sunsets overlooking the ocean. We saw coati and iguanas. The place was incredibly clean. Like immaculate, really. It’s nearby to everything you need, about 3 minutes to town. Could not recommend this place enough it was an absolutely dream!

I have rented houses in the Dominical/ Uvita/ Ojochal over a dozen times and Roberto and Diana's place has been my favorite by far. Not only is the property extremely unique in it's design and layout, it's amenities, location and incredible view is unmatched. Typically speaking, in this area of Costa Rica, a house with a view this amazing will require a 10 - 15 minute drive up hill. This house is a 5 minute drive from so much and within 20 minutes of everything we wanted to do. This made traveling with kids so easy and allowed us to really explore the area while also relaxing at the house often. This house is more than worth it, especially for the reasonable nightly rate in comparison to similar properties. Pura Vida 🌴

Very nice home in a convenient location to beaches and restaurants. Beautiful windows as expected from the name but the doors are so heavy it makes them a bit hard to negotiate. The kitchen was sparcely stocked. Plates and bowls are stacked about 6 feet high so a bit difficult to find unless you are over 6 feet tall. The oven was not working and we had to light the gas burners with a match (we do the same at home so no big deal but knowing this is advance would have saved a phone call). The dryer was also broken so we air dried our clothes and towels. We expect a home advertised with appliances to have working appliances so this was a disappointment as part of the reason for renting a home instead of a hotel is use of a fully functional kitchen and washer/dryer. Otherwise the home was beautiful and the pool refreshing after a day out.

We had a great stay at Tico Tico villas! It was very comfortable and very close to everything the area had to offer.

Paradise. This location is absolutely gorgeous, peaceful, and a true experience of being in Costa Rica nature. The property is surrounded by beautiful foliage, and has an amazing Mountain View. We loved watching the weather patterns throughout the days and the sunrises. The bed and linens are comfortable. The pool is relaxing and the perfect design with shallow and deep ends. We loved our experience and would absolutely return. It's definitely worth the short drive up the mountain to experience the amenities of this property.

I absolutely loved this property! Nice pool, easy access to Quepos and Manuel Antonio while being way more peaceful from the hustle and bustle. It did take us a bit to find the entrance initially, but after finding it, no issues at all. Security guard is very helpful and friendly. The House is spacious, very clean. It's just the upstairs hallway is always stuffy for some reason. Everything else is absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend! Tip: garbage drop off is outside of the gate, at the entrance of the small plaza.

Lorna and Frank are great hosts. House is beautiful on the side of the hill right in the tropical forest. You have your private Toucans who welcome you every morning on the Papaya tree next to the pool. Views are stunning especially early morning (6am). We loved that house is very bright, so we could spot every little bug that decided to visit us. Extremely clean. Besides toucans there is plenty to watch. No spoilers here. YES you need 4 wheel drive car. Especially in the rainy season. YES you really need it. Can you make it with 2wd? You can when it’s dry. But after rain you won’t make it up the hill. Bring the binoculars. Yes you need them. Good flashlight might be useful as well. Pretty frequent, but usually short power outages. Dominical beach is not that great - but Uvita and Manuel Antonio are both stunning. Do the Rainmaker, you won’t regret a dime. On the way up to Platanillo the first fruit stand on the right is great and with local prices. We had wonderful time!

Semaine de rêve dans cette villa perchée dans les hauteurs de Dominical. Piscine, jardin et nature incroyables. Intimité exceptionnelle. Maison disposée de façon unique. Espace extérieur très convivial. Des hôtes attentifs et sympathiques. Activités, plages et facilités à proximité. Tout y est pour profiter pleinement d’un séjour mémorable. Merci.

We had read reviews about wildlife and hoped, but it didn't disappoint. Daily Scarlet Mackaws, heard howler monkeys twice, saw a white faced monkey trying to get a lizard in the yard, squirrel monkeys in the canopy, iguanas, tree frog at night, and neighborhood dogs would visit each night randomly. Our kids loved the wildlife from the pool and searching around the property and neighborhood hikes to look for more. Not mentioned in the post- there is a washer and dryer in the basement area, along with wifi, outdoor shower to get off sand, and several grills to use. There was a wonderful gift basket when we arrived with pineapple the kids loved, coffee (so thoughtful), and local snacks. The AC in the rooms and fans worked great. The front gate was a nice feature for security (and keeping our kids in honestly). Great home and great location. Only downsides were depleted silverware for house with six people and hand washing dishes. Thanks for the flexible arrival and departure!

Two words “ absolutely breathtaking”! I think that pretty much sums up this place. The Host and his team were all super helpful. The property is located on top of a Mountain with INCREDIBLE views. You get a full on view of the tail once the tide recedes. The place was extremely modern and clean. I absolutely loved every piece of decor throughout the villa. I would recommend this place over and over again, to everybody. One thing I would recommend, is that you take the hosts’ advice and stop at the Supermarket at the foot of the mountain before going up. It’s a good 20mins just to get back down for some water😂

I love the maximalist touch in this place. Every single corner is full of colors and inspiration, Debbie did an incredible job setting up this casita with everything you need to enjoy your stay. The bed was super comfortable, with high quality linens and pillows that feel incredible. I loved walking around in the robes she provided as I frolicked in the garden and pool area. I had a magical shower in the outdoor shower with warm water, but also loved the convenience of the indoor shower when I didn’t want to be around bugs. The kitchen was fully stocked with a new fridge that kept our groceries nice & cool, and the outdoor kitchen is just GOALS. The salt water lap pool was such an oasis and the perfect spot to cool off after a hot day. I absolutely loved this stay which was central to Uvita and Dominical area and would recommend it to anyone who loves a boho / yogi / inspirational vibe. Debbie is the best host too!

This place is a MUST!! It's sp peaceful we never wanted to leave. The town and beach was really close along with some gorgeous waterfalls! The hill going up was a little scary at first and you will definitely want 4 wheel drive especially if it rains but once up there it felt like you was in the middle of the jungle but mins away from society. There was some electric issues when the storm came but Monica was so very helpful and responsive and they had everything you needed. We have shared this with all of our friends and we will be back !

The stay here was great and plenty of space for bigger families or multiple families. Plenty of towels for bathrooms and separate ones for the pool. It was clean and if needed, housekeeping is available M-F daily. We requested access to the laundry room to do our own and that was great, so we didn't have so much to do upon our return home. The kitchen was equipped nicely; however, we did need to purchase our own spices/seasonings (i.e. salt and pepper), which would've been nice to have on hand. The host was very helpful in planning and arranging tours and Eddie, the concierge, was very responsive and helpful during our entire stay. We loved the window seats, but would've been more comfortable to sit in with some type of cushioning. Overall, I would recommend this place and stay here again!

This stay was beyond perfect. The home was spotless, beautifully designed with high ceilings and seamless indoor-outdoor living thanks to massive sliding doors. It was stocked with everything imaginable—top-notch cookware, quality toiletries, even thoughtful touches that made it feel like home. With a child in tow, we appreciated how safe and comfortable the space was. You’re tucked into the rainforest mountains, so brief water or power outages can happen—something we expected and which was well communicated. It didn’t impact our stay in the slightest. Just be sure to have a 4x4 to access the area. Karl and Ivonka have truly created an oasis—every detail made us feel welcomed and cared for. If you’re like us and debating where to stay, trust that this one is even better than the photos. Nearby, Tagua Café is a gem, and the surrounding waterfalls and restaurants made the trip even more special. Truly unforgettable. Thank you!

The house was wonderful. Phillip was a great host and the concierge team very helpful for coordinating everything. We booked Peak Chef Services for our first night dinner which was incredible. We were greeted each morning with 2 large macaws and a variety of other parrots and toucans. The pool was so warm and relaxing. The views throughout the house were spectacular. Very close drive to Manuel Antonio and downtown Quepos. Would definitely stay again!
