The Rockland Woods Lodge, Lake & Land

The Rockland Woods Lodge was originally built in 1973 and a 2018 rustic-modern remodel freshened up its charm. A relaxing 60-min Ferry Ride from Seattle gets you to a quiet, densely wooded 20-acre property overlooking Mission Lake and the Olympic Mtns. Biannually, we host 10-20 Artists-in-Residence at the property without charge. To support this primary mission, we rent to small groups for retreats, reunions, workshops, and weddings. "Darla" is an all-original 1955 travel trailer, tucked in a private camping spot on our beautiful property only 6 miles from Mt. Rainier National Park! Featuring vintage decor, kitchenette, string lights, picnic table, gas fire pit, lounge chairs, hammock, separate bathroom trailer with hot shower, and access to the lodge hot tub! Located at the edge of the town of Ashford and walking distance to restaurants and shops, this is the perfect base for all of your Mt. Rainier adventures!

Experience outdoor living in a cozy canvas wall tent. You will find thoughtful design and comfort. You will hear nature..wind, rain, birds and other ambient sounds, and even experience the glow of the moon. Awake to our peaceful fresh Seattle mornings, and sip a hot beverage on your own porch. A compost toilet in a cedar lined outbuilding is 10 steps away, along with a barrel sauna, fire pit, and lounge area. There is a shower available right inside the main house from 7 am-9pm.

Welcome to your private oceanfront getaway Nestled in a (distanced) private area of our property awaits this 40 foot rustic/industrial style converted bus. Take in the ocean view of the Sooke Basin and the mountains of Washington state across the strait of Juan De Fuca. Enjoy a visit from our dog, Argo, who lives on the property and loves our guests. This unique fairy abode is a 10x20 tent/cabin nestled in the trees. Only 37 miles to Mt Rainier National Park. A slightly heated sleeping place with a Queen size bed (w/bed warmer for chilly nights). Covered outdoor kitchen w/camp stove, BBQ, cookware and dishes. Private outhouse w/composting toilet. Enjoy the shared outdoor shower room (shower in main house during cold weather) and shared fire pit. Or sway in a hammock in our magical WoodHenge. EV charger available

Cozy Barn Loft

Cozy studio in barn loft with a close-up view to secluded wooded setting. Two large, leather recliners provide a relaxing place to read or nap! This space was repurposed as a guest room in 2019 and includes a bathroom (with a very roomy shower) and a kitchenette (sink, small refrigerator/freezer, microwave, Keurig, toaster). Two matching twin beds can be made up as a king-sized bed. There is one additional twin (inflatable) bed if needed for a third person.
