Cottage vacation rentals in Puerto de la Cruz

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

The home is exactly as shown in the pictures and very spacious. It was also very clean and stocked with sufficient towels and duvets. The mattresses were very comfortable as well. The views are just stunning. Although a bit tricky the driveway is easily manageable once you have done it a few times. Suyin is an exceptional host. She welcomed us with a cake and came right away when we managed to lock us out of the home on the first night. She also enquired during our stay whether we miss or need anything. The only thing that needs to be considered when booking this home is that it does not have a heating other than the fireplace in the main room. If it is a bit chilly, there is no way to heat it. It will therefore be the same temperature inside than outside.

Outstanding location with absolutely mesmerising views !! Away from the cluttered cities surrounded by vineyards I would highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in Tenerife. The places has not only views to offer , fully equipped with all sorts of amenities that one would ever wish for. Ellen is a great host very responsive and helpful. I would definitely be coming back for more !!!

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

Our stay at Las Casas was fantastic. It is located a bit off the beaten path but once you arrive, it is spectacular. Incredible views of the mountains and ocean, beautiful restored buildings, peaceful, and well equipped for any kind of stay. The amenities - sauna, hot tub, pool, etc - made the place feel like a retreat/resort. If you’re looking for a peaceful, relaxing, vacation, I 100% recommend staying here. We were staying in Los Corrales which had a a full kitchen (no oven - but 4 stove burners. The communal kitchen has a coal burning oven). It had two large bedrooms and a very private terrace/patio with lounge chairs and a table to eat at. If you’re planning on eating there, I’d recommend getting all of your groceries on your way in because you are probably going to want to limit your trips up and down the mountain. Carmen was a very responsive host and had everything prepared for us when we arrived. Thank you for the stay Carmen and crew!

It was great to avoid the dense touristic areas and experience a different type of microclimate than the rest of the island. It was a bit cold inside in April, but there is an AC and a heater to compensate. The jacuzzi is a big highlight of this place.

The property is lovely and everything you need for relaxing getaway. We loved the outside area, Al fresco at its finest. Supermarket is situated at the bottom of the road, 5-10 minute walk. Puerto del La Cruz is only a 15 minute drive and playa El Bollullo is on 15 minute drive, bit of a walk down to the beach, but well worth it. also the restaurant at the top is lovely, with a great back drop. If you want a relaxing getaway away from the hussle and bussle, then this is the place for you. Wake up to beautiful views of Tiede and the sea. what more could you want. See you next time.

A nice house in a beautiful location, the garden, and the views of Tiede from it, are absolutely stunning. The house was clean and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maykel is responsive and answered any queries we had promptly. Highly recommended.

We had a great time here! The house is very close to nearby restaurants (2-4 minute walk), pools in the sea (20 minute walk) and has a nice view of the sea. The town itself is quiet and has everything you need, the nearby market offers all necessary things. We would definitely visit again!

We wanted to disconnect from everything and that's exactly what we got here. It's such a little hidden gem, very private, the BBQ & pool areas are a touch with views looking down towards the Atlantic! Literally an 8 minute drive up through La Guancha and you are in the forest, I can recommend Casa de la Pradera easy terrain, our dogs loved it. A few hundred meters up the road and you come to Bodega Viñatigo very nice wines. The host Lara is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back.

The accommodation exceeded our expectation. The view from top of the roof amazing, you have see vie at front on your side mountains and other side forest. Very peaceful place with lots of place to explore. the accommodation is fulfilled with everything you need starting from matches to washing liquid for clothes. Very fresh beddings with lots of fluffy blankets. Very good internet connection considering how high the house is based. Our family of 5 had planty of space. Owner very friendly and helpful. The apartment is very nice, clean and lovingly furnished – lots of nice details! 😊 Maribel was super attentive and available at any time. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime.

The host Maria is great, always helpful, super friendly and sweet with our kids. We had a great stay in the house and enjoyed the view over the bay and the banana plantation. Maria also provided us with a whole load of freshly harvested bananas which tasted amazing. Totally recommended place.

We loved our stay here in Los Carbonaras. The house was beautiful, functional, and had everything we needed. The only note for other people is to know the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way up so you can hear each others (watch out for snores!). But it absolutely did not detract from the experience. We had a lot of fun cooking in the kitchen and enjoying the ourside terrace. The views from the place are stunning and it is a great location to explore the area by foot. The property is part of a small farm and Yanira's mother was an attentive neighbor who let us have some of their fresh grown spinach. They also left us some fresh eggs and fruit in the house. We really enjoyed the walks between the villages, which we mostly did on the road since there were so few cars. Nature was right on the doorstep, with plenty of birds, butterflies and plants to satisfy us nature nerds. We would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

A real pleasure. We loved Tegueste and the location of the house, high up and overlooking the ocean. The stay is very nice and the communication is excellent. We were given rice once we needed it and it felt like home. On the Mayo Bridge they seem to be local parties so at night there was some noise in the village but it did not affect us too much. Would love to come back.

We had a truly unforgettable stay in Los Silos an experience we’ll always cherish. The evenings spent enjoying dinner and drinks in the garden were magical, full of charm and warmth. I had a bit of trouble with the check-in process because I was swamped and forgot to send my details, but Jan was incredibly patient and kind, calling a few times to help me through it all with genuine care. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped everything from toasters and mixers to an oven and a wide range of seasonings. If you love to cook, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re looking for a stay that leaves a lasting impression, Casa La Moringa is the place to be. Thank you Jan and Susanne !

We had a week in Esther's amazing apartment, where there was everything we needed. We very much enjoyed the tranquility and the lovely lushness of the north coast far from the mass tourism on the south coast. The apartment is small, but it is fully compensated by the lovely terrace area overlooking the water - with outdoor furniture, barbecue, sun loungers and great atmosphere with palm trees and hammock. We'd love to come again.

This place is incredible! A wonderful stone house in the mountains. Peaceful, beautiful and cozy like home. You can find everything you need in the house. BBQ zone is perfect. We used it every day! We had all our breakfast with a wonderful mountain view. What could be better than spent your evening near fireplace after whole day exploring? The host is super nice and helped us to find a nice whale watching tour. We didn’t have issues with parking. At least one place was available every day in the evening. We had visited a supermarket in advance before checking as there are no stores near. But it is not an issue at all. I strongly recommend that place!

Unforgettable emotions. A place where you can enjoy the silence. A place with a beautiful view of the garden, and in addition to this, you will be delighted by the breathtaking ocean and majestic mountains. A very nice and friendly cat that came to us in the evenings, creating a nice atmosphere. The apartment has all the amenities for a comfortable stay. We had a wonderful stay at José Antonio's! The house is beautiful, very well equipped, very cozy and there is a fantastic view from the balcony with all-round views of the sea, the Teide and sunset. José and his family are wonderful, super attentive and child-loving hosts! There were bananas, avocados from our own garden and other little touches on arrival for us and the children. Everything was ready upon arrival (changing table, toys, baby bath, etc.). Our son loved playing in the huge garden among avocado & banana trees and feeding the chickens every day. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon. Thank you for everything :-)
