Cottage vacation rentals in Providence County

Place was very well cared for, kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and had everything needed. The views of the lake are GORGEOUS. Felt like home, we had a great time even with the bad weather.

We booked our stay for a couple of nights away for our family of 4. Talita and Vinny were very welcoming to their adorable place! The cottage is right on the water on the very clean and lovely lake. We had everything we needed and I loved the way the place was decorated. We really enjoyed the stand up paddle boards and the shaded seating area. Our kiddos (9 and 11) we very happy hanging in the hot tub and tossing bread to the blue gills. Good food options nearby - we really enjoyed George's Surf n' Turf. I recommend this stay and hope to be back in the future!

Melissa was really quick to respond w when we had a problem with the back door and had some one come and fix it very timely. Place was beautiful and cozy!

We loved our time in this very comfortable house with gorgeous views. It was close enough to restaurants and to Newport to be very convenient but also far enough away to be peaceful. The beds are very comfortable!

From the minute we pulled into the driveway, our family was highly impressed with the views from Kristen's home. We ended our 2023 summer with a bang. This beautiful home had everything you could ever need on vacation. We enjoyed the backyard with nightly fires. Our teen daughter rarely left the bunk house. We loved the fact that our own private beach was just a few steps away & the public beach was less than ten minutes away. The kids and adults enjoyed the beach trampoline. Kristen was delightful to deal with. She was a SUPER host. So many little details and extras she puts into her beach home. Already thinking of our next visit.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at Sheila’s cottage. It’s always a pleasant experience. Sheila is very responsive, and I’m highly satisfied with the cottage. It’s exactly as described, and everything worked flawlessly. I could not recommend this more highly.

We found the cottage to be spotless and had everything we needed for our 5-day stay. Our hosts were friendly and so very considerate. It is a sweet, cozy cottage- perfect for our visit!

Great spot right on the lake, it is really beautiful here! We got to walk the beautiful property, took the kayaks out for a quick trip around the lake, enjoyed the beach sitting and chatting with each other and it was close to Douglas Orchard and Farm where we were visiting family for a wedding! We would happily come again! The wood burning stove also kicks when you get it going!

Essays have never been a strong skill of mine, so please excuse my bluntness. Prudence Island is not for everyone. It is however for me and my family. We came to ride bikes, fish, walk around, and just relax. It was only for a few days, and we have 4 kids, so relaxing was a bit tricky. Thats on us. However, as far as Taiji's cottage is concerned, it catered to what we were looking for. With quick access from the Ferry, to the beach, or even indoor entertainment (we arrived just before a storm). He and his team had provided everything we could need, and then some. (Thank you for having a pack and play for our baby.) While I'm hopeful to own a place on Prudence (someday...) I would certainly like to stay here again, and would highly recommend Taiji's place to any interested individual or family. Thanks again, -Patrick Cassidy, 3rd generation islander

My daughter and I stayed at John’s place for a week and it was wonderful. The space was clean and perfectly appointed. The proximity to the beach was great, too. John was an extremely responsive host. I would absolutely stay here again. Barrington is a great town. If you’re a coffee drinker you have to try Borealis in Riverside. The Blue Kangaroo and The Black Pear are great breakfast/lunch spots as well. We loved Barrington Books - great spot for great gifts.

This place is bright with lots of natural light. Well equipped with very nice sun room and patio. Close to Old Sturbridge Village where the Christmas show was excellent. We had a relaxing and cozy dinner at the Duck. Gwendolyn was a gracious host keenly attentive to our arrival, weather, comfort and more. You will enjoy the cottage.

Fly Fishers Cottage was the perfect choice for my visit home for the holidays. The cottage is exactly as described, spotless, super cozy, and it was even decorated for Christmas! It was the exact amount of space I needed and felt like a home away from home. It is ideally located to get to Jamestown and Newport, as well as to other parts of RI and MA where I was visiting family. Clare is a wonderful host, very responsive, and flexible with check in/out which I hugely appreciated. She also made sure outside was cleared and gritted after some snow - it seems like a small thing, but made me feel welcome and taken care of. I really hope to stay at the cottage again on my upcoming summer visit - thank you Clare!

Place was great! Weather did not cooperate for us unfortunately but it was such a cool little spot right on the water. Some great options for food and drink within walking distance too!

This beautiful cottage was roomy enough for five, yet still felt cozy.

Donna was a wonderful host for my colleagues who really appreciated the help that she gave during our stay which we extended. Windsurfers Cove was exactly as pictured and described. The house was immaculate, extremely cozy and had everything we needed. The location and scenery was perfect! Absolutely peaceful! The host Jonas was very prompt with responding prior to and during our stay. We look forward to returning.

New England Perfection - My husband and I were in town for a wedding. The cottage on the water was adorable/clean and had everything we needed. The view and the seating out by the pond were perfect for coffee, wine and and just taking in the scenery and nature. Loved the extra touches like coffee, cream, bottled water and COOKIES! ;-) Would love to return!

Beautiful view! Very well appointed and decorated, comfy and beautiful cottage. It was a squeeze for four of us but worth it for the three night stay in such a beautiful place by the river/ocean. My teens fished and kayaked, while we parents got to relax in the Adirondack chairs with a beautiful view. Cute little beach, too!

Lovely rustic cottage on a picture perfect lake. Dawn was a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Will stay again!

What an amazing stay! The place had great games and the porch was such a treat. The view from the fire pit was so relaxing and we enjoyed toasting smores while overlooking the lake. We ended up taking the folding chairs and playing catch by the lake, which was only a short walk away. Robert was responsive when we asked where to get firewood. We also enjoyed the Sturbridge coffee house and Maine Lobster (we liked it so much, we went twice)! We ended up going to the farmers market and flea market, which were great finds. Overall, a great stay with the kitchen utensils, bathroom necessities that you’d need. Close by the lake and a great neighborhood!

Perfect place for a weekend getaway. The house was exactly as described and Carol was a great host. The home is walkable to many places. Our favorites were the bike path, state park, and all the great restaurants. Thanks again!
