Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Prince Edward County

We had a great family weekend due in part to this great home! Felt like home and we were able to relax together. This is a very well-equipped house--Jonathan has thought of everything to make the stay a great one!

We stayed in FarmVille for our daughter’s wedding. We really enjoyed staying here. The place seems newly remodeled. Very clean! From the picture on the listing I thought it would be a little more private but it has other houses right next door and across the street. Which isn’t a problem unless you want privacy. The neighborhood was quiet. The location was very convenient to everything we needed and every place we needed to be. Melissa was extremely responsive and easy to work with. She accommodated our request for a late checkout which was very gracious and much appreciated. I would definitely stay here again. The house had everything we needed and more.!

The Carriage House is beautiful. From the decor, well-stocked kitchen to luxurious linens, we were very comfortable in this home for a long weekend. Just outside of Farmville in a beautiful rural setting, is a jewel of a home. We were a party of 4, busy with different wedding festivities all weekend. It was lovely to start our days on the porch with coffee and come home to relax on the porch to enjoy the each other. Thanks to our host for a well stocked kitchen, bathrooms and all the goodies for us to enjoy. We appreciated your flexibility when we needed it! I hope to return to enjoy more of the area, shop at Greenfront and stay in this lovely home once again.

Our family had a wonderful time as always! We especially enjoyed watching and learning the process of “tossing” and “rolling” the hay in the fields next to the property! We look forward to our next visit!

We had a wonderful stay in this cozy home! Very accurate to the photos, good location, clean, quiet neighborhood, the house was stocked with everything we needed and more. There were even fresh flowers, my daughter and I loved them! Perfect house for a small get away; or just needing a place to stay while in town for a friend's wedding like us. Great stay! Thank you for having us!

Definitely will be back

Amanda’s place was perfect for our graduation weekend. Walkable to campus, ample parking for 3 cars. Each bedroom having its own bathroom was perfect for our early mornings getting ready. Comfortable beds. Not much sitting space if doing much hanging out in the living room, but we were pretty much there just to sleep. Highly recommend!

We had a great stay for Longwood’s graduation weekend. The host, Regina, went above and beyond the call of duty, and found an important item for us that accidentally was placed in the trash she was kind enough to mail it to us. The house is comfortable and nice—conveniently located for access to Farmville or Appomattox. If you are traveling with a dog this is a great choice.

Sadly, my husband and I didn’t have the chance to stay here because of water issues, but Patricia arranged a hotel for us. We planned to stay here the night of our wedding. We were bummed we couldn’t stay here, but the hotel was wonderful. We had an issue with payment and the hotel ended up charging us but Patricia promptly sent us the money back via “Venmö” The hotel was also more expensive and they covered the additional cost which was very kind. Hopefully the next time we are in the area we can stay with them! Overall amazing hosts and went above and beyond.

As my first time actually renting an Airbnb. I enjoyed it a lot. When I needed something all I did was ask Eric. He’s very responsive and sweet. I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family when they come over for the holidays. This place is very affordable.

Joan’s guest house was Gorgeous! Even better than the photos! I was stunned when we walked in! The toddler/ kid room was so cute with stuffed animals, toys and books! She had a pack and play ready to go for us with our 15 month old and made everything so easy! I love how quick she was to respond on messaging. Great stay and a great host! Highly recommend! If we are ever in Lynchburg again this is where I want to stay!

Sylvester met with me when I arrived and showed me around. The unit is part of a detached garage but it doesn’t feel like it. There were some renovations being done above the unit but he was very upfront about that and checked up on me to make sure it wasn’t too much of a disturbance. The house is tucked away in a nice neighborhood, with plenty of food/shopping options if you don’t mind driving 20 minutes or so.

Nice place. It is spacious, with everything we needed. Becky took care of all of our needs. She gave us a lot of fruit and made us delicious cinnamon buns. She frequently resupplied the coffee area and the snack baskets. During the past visit our home strawberries were ripening. I brought some with us and froze part of them. One night we had a desire for strawberry milkshakes. I was so pleasantly surprised to see there was a blender in her storage area. We got to enjoy strawberry milkshakes twice during our stay. :)

Great place to stay around South Hill. Very quiet and peaceful country setting. Very clean and comfortable place. Will definitely be staying here again if I come back to the area and it’s available.

Nice place to stay. I enjoyed the time in the country and time by the pond.
