House vacation rentals in Praia da Barra

A few hours before arrival, we were told that the cottage we had booked was not available due to an electricity failure. Nothing but praise for their communication and they always looked for solutions. They suggested us another house in another area. In itself also a very nice house but it was however not quite our thing. After all, we were looking for nature and peace and quiet. We had reported this and then Viktor sought a solution to have the electricity fixed in the original cottage. And a few hours later we got word that we could move into the cottage. What a cosy cottage, in the middle of peace and quiet, in a small tiny hamlet. Just what we were looking for with our family. Close to the Arouca geopark and a very nice little restaurant Mira Freita where we regularly ate. In one word, perfect hosts and beautiful houses in their portfolio! Thank you very much for hosting us.

Great place to stay and enjoy :) the host (Sra Adelaide) was amazing, very helpful and responsive. The house is perfectly decorated, very comfortable and with all the amenities needed to enjoy a perfect weekend or longer stays. Would give 6 stars if possible ! Thank you for everything

Everything was perfect even the small details. We felt like we were in a 5 star hotel. The inside and outside of the property were really well maintained and the swimming pool was an added bonus in a hot sun weather’sday! Me and my family had a lovely stay in this beautiful property, it was very quiet and the views were lovely. The property had lots of space and we loved the pool and outdoor kitchen area. I would definitely recommended

The hosts were amazing! they made sure we will feel at home from the first day. took care of any issue that came by. they brought us fresh bread every morning. the surrounding is really magical. the only thing that was a bit sucks was the washing machine and the dryer. it was in a different structure with 1 min walk and when the weather is raining its not that easy. other than that everything was fine!

The place was very good and it had everything it needed. Since we were there in February, we had a little cool the first 2 days until the air conditioning and the wood stove on the lower floor brought warmth into the rooms. But lighting the wood-burning stove was also fun. A tip for the future would be to install modern dehumidifiers on each floor. The outdoor area was very nice with the orange trees and also well maintained, but was not used by us.

Let me start with saying that Miguel is a great host. He helped us with everything we needed, he brought heaters when we were cold, gave us recommendations for bars, restaurants or beaches. We went for surf lessons in school he teaches in and it was also great. The house itself is a great find, we had little teambuilding and worked remotely from there. The internet is lightning fast and even with 9 laptops connected we had no problems. The house is pretty large and it looks exactly like the photos, we really liked the grill area. All around great stay, 10/10

Modern building in a peaceful village. Bright and spacious apartment. Very quiet surroundings. Very clean and modern flat. Fast and reliable WiFi, smart-tv and a comfy sofa. Beds with new mattresses. Fully equipped kitchen, automatic coffee maker, dishwasher, electric kettle. You will need a car to get around, though. Small and well equipped store in walking distance, restaurants easily reached by car. Silvia was super friendly and always there when needed, but very discreet. She gave us valuable information on the surroundings and interesting things to see, like Águeda and Aveiro. We felt very welcome and like at home. We can fully recommend Avelino's place. Thank you again, Silvia!

The accommodation is perfect value for money. We spent 4 days in Aveiro and had a great time. The best part was getting there after walking for miles and taking a shower! Bruno welcomed us and told us how to access the back of the house to park the car, something we were very grateful for, as we were looking for somewhere to leave the car protected. The accommodation is less than a 10-minute drive from downtown, which is a great way to save money on paying for expensive hotels and still enjoy the city. They left us some delicious pastries for breakfast and coffee, tea and water. We were out of sugar but we got it at the supermarket. It should be mentioned that the train track passes nearby and from time to time you can hear the train passing but it is not very annoying, it is something to keep in mind for people who are looking for a lot of silence. We are very grateful to Bruno and Tatiana because we felt right at home! We will definitely be back!

We would rate Carla’s place as one of the best and most valuable accommodations we’ve stayed in. The house was impeccably clean, modern, and equipped with everything we needed to feel completely at home. It was both comfortable and unforgettable—in a word, perfect! Carla is a thoughtful and gracious host who provided us with all the information necessary for an exceptional stay. Her communication was outstanding; she was always quick to respond to any questions we had. The house looks exactly as it does in the photos, which is a rare and delightful bonus. We wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful home to anyone looking for an amazing experience.

As a family of 5 traveling with little kids we felt right at home! Although the restaurants and market are 5 mins or 1-2 miles from the house it’s not a walkable area. When exiting the house be careful because of the traffic on the highway. Very clean home and comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Kids enjoyed the back yard and basketball goal and video games in the living room. We enjoyed the country scenery. Was able to get an Uber and have the same driver each trip to the market and restaurants. Uber trip from the house to local markets and restaurants is €3. Would stay here again! Family friendly! Lots of space! Adequate heating in the home!

Fantastic house, matches the photos, very comfortable mattresses, very well equipped, it has everything, even a hairdryer. The pool is great, the waterfall works every 15 minutes. The location is very good, very close to Aveiro and Costa Nova, about 40 minutes to Coimbra. The owners are very friendly, flexible with check-in and check-out and very attentive and available for anything. Undoubtedly to be repeated, thank you so much for everything!

Large, comfortable and very well furnished house, perfect for families. It is in a quiet residential area that allows you to make a base to see the surroundings. Ana is super attentive. We were very comfortable.

We have been spent several trips in this lovely house. More than 2 months staying which is very comfortable for us. Manuel was always trying to help if there was any needs from us. Very quiet place, safe neighborhood, not far from downtown if u drive.

Pleasant space, with all the communities and very neat. Mr. Márcio was very helpful and friendly. We'll be back for sure.

Truly wonderful cottage with winterswimming pool, just loved it

João is a wonderful host and his place offers a perfect refuge, particularly for a family like ours looking to enjoy the pool and nearby beach (our son loved it!)

Joana and her family made my parents feel very welcome and supported. It was their last night in Portugal and they needed a relaxed place to round off the holiday. Joana accommodated our last minute requests and was really friendly too. I would recommend this place 100%

We spend three days between Christmas and New Year in Isabel's house. It was a very good experience. The house is unique and amazing, garden and the whole area is a piece of art. It is a peaceful and quite neighborhood, near to nice nature trails. We strongly recommend that you stay there, if you visit Aveiro.
