Shepherds hut vacation rentals in Powys

Teresa kept us informed from the moment we booked. Giving clear directions and instructions for check in. We arrived just after check in had opened and the hot tub was ready to use. There was a lovely welcome basket left inside for us. Little Acres what a gem it was very clean and tidy inside and out. There was a guest book with useful numbers and instructions for all the appliances and hot tub. The views were amazing and the area peaceful. The hot tub was welcomed after a day walking mount snowdon. A nice green area in front of the shepherds hut was kept tidy with a hammock on it. We walked through the gardens to see the animals although most were still out in the fields. Would definitely recommend for a relaxing break.

We had a really lovely stay at Carol’s shepherd’s hut. It was cosy and in such an idyllic location where we were able to fully wind down and relax for our stay. The added touches made a difference and Carol was proactive in her communication which was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay!

We had such a lovely time at the shepherds hut, a perfectly peaceful and quiet get away - just what we needed! Great location for picturesque walks. We walked along Offas Dyke took 2.5 hrs straight from the hut. The local town had everything you needed only a short drive or 20 min walk away. We grabbed a takeaway pizza from Daphnes which was very delicious. Despite wet weather all weekend it did not dampen our spirits. The covered kitchen was a perfect location to cosy up and watch the thunder and lightning. It had everything you needed to make breakfast. The provided bread, bacon, eggs & milk were a lovely addition. The bed was very very comfy and the hut was clean, tidy & cosy. The hill up to the hut is steep but the provided wheelbarrow helped. Leaving in the rain was hilarious.

The Cowboys hut was a beautifully made hut in an idyllic location. Danna left a lovely welcome hamper on arrival and the hut was clean and tidy. The log fire kept us toasty and we would love to visit again.

Perfect little shepherds hut, with everything we needed, we enjoyed our weekend stay. Megan is a lovely host and nothing was too much trouble, the farm pets were very friendly too. A lovely Pub down the road with tasty food and very welcoming which we can highly recommend.

Took my boyfriend here for his birthday weekend and WOW!!!! We had the best time ever and couldn’t recommend this place enough. The hosts were super friendly and welcoming, the hut was spotless and the decorations were absolutely beautiful!! The Easter decor was so cute and the hosts also added a few birthday decorations which was lovely! The hot tub and log burner were so lovely especially on an evening. The hut also had cards and board games which me and boyfriend didn’t stop playing!! It was lovely to be able play with the dogs on the field to see the farm animals before we left. Overall we had the best weekend ever and did not want to leave, 10/10!!!! We will definitely be back xxx

Ideal if you want a peaceful few days away, at the hut you can relax listening to the local wildlife or if it’s cold listen to the crackle of the log fire inside the cabin. The location is perfect if you want quick access to hikes etc in the Brecon Beacons. There is also a cosy pub with a beer garden next to a canal, with great food, beer and board games available only a few minutes walk away. Also access to two towns near by with other food options such as chippy. In addition Fran was a welcoming host. Felt right at home as soon as we arrived. Thanks.

Wow...just WOW! This place is a little slice of heaven. Amazing location. So peaceful. The hut had everything you needed. Super comfy and cozy. Sian and Jack are just the best hosts. They gave us everything we needed to make out stay ideal. Friendly, welcoming and informative re all the bits and bobs in the local area. Make sure you do the Bryn Arw and Sugar Loaf circular and stop at the Crown for a well earned pint or too.

Such a wonderful cabin. A peaceful environment next to the river. We lit a fire and watched the stars all evening.

Thank you Dominie for providing a wonderful place to stay. The setting was idyllic, overlooking beautiful fields, valley and hills. The shepherds hut is set in a private location on a quiet family farm. It's very peaceful and relaxing. The accommodation is comfortable, clean and perfect for a retreat. The location is an easy 15-20min drive to local shops (Waitrose etc) and some nice local restaurants in Abergavenny, and a similar distance to some great spots to walk / climb up the Brecon Beacons (National Trust Pont ar Daf and Pen Y Fan). I'd definitely be back.

This was easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve been, the photos are unable to capture the serenity of the space and Jony and Pippa were truly wonderful people. If you are looking for somewhere to completely escape the busy normalities of life and just sit and appreciate a space I can’t suggest this place enough. They were such considerate hosts and we don’t doubt we’ll be back again. Everything about this place is made with creative love and it’s really inspiring to see.

We loved staying here, the lodge was absolutely spotless and was fully kitted out with everything you’d need. The garden was beautiful and the views were amazing, was perfectly cordoned off for our dog to run around. Liz was great, so lovely and helpful on arrival. Couldn’t fault anything. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Plenty of walks around and close town to go for a nice drink in the day!

What a lovely tranquil spot with a pretty garden and stream and a lovely outside space to relax. The hut is very nice, a great space and our host was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place and may well return for a longer stay as so much to explore in the area.

Really enjoyed my short stay at 'The Snug'. it was exactly what I was looking for, somewhere tucked away in the countryside where I could hide away for a couple of nights. The location is perfect, with views of the rolling Welsh hills and plenty of beautiful scenery to take in. The hut is well maintained and spotlessly clean, and everything you need for your stay is provided for.

We have just returned from our minimoon after our wedding on Friday. Our stay exceeded our expectations! Bryn's communication was exceptional. He was flexible with our plans changing to include our fur baby, answered messages quickly and with accurate map Pins to make places easy to find. His recommendations were great, the nearby pub 'The Ravon' - delicious food, attentive staff and a cosy atmosphere. The nearby indian, wow the best we've had and the 'Bay Tree Cafe' what a gem! Bryn was friendly, approachable and went above and beyond to make our stay special with newly wed bunting, a bottle of bubbles and some homemade produce which was super tasty. Everything from the property itself, to the log burner, views and hot tub made our stay one we will never forget. It was a really special time as we enjoyed our new bubble as husband and wife! We will definitely return, Bryn has a special set-up here and his personable approach makes it. We will be regualars how. The Listers x

had a fantastic stay at the shepherds hut! The hut was very clean and cosy with everything provided. the surrounding views of the hills and mountains were outstanding! Beth as a host was amazing, she made sure we had everything we need and went extra doing things like lighting the hot tub so it was ready for our arrival. my gf and I are already talking about coming back, I couldn't recommend this place enough!

My daughter and her partner stayed for her birthday and they absolutely loved it! They were very chilled and relaxed and said they would love to go back again Couldn’t fault anything it was peaceful , clean , warm, had everything they needed and the food bits left by the host were a lovely touch Such a beautiful place to relax and unwind and they would recommend it to everyone! I booked this as a surprise getaway for my partners birthday and what can I say but WOW! From the moment we arrived we were amazed by the beautiful surroundings and quality of the accommodation. We were then welcomed with a beaming smile from Suzi who took her time to get to know us and show us all the amenities. A couple of the nights we lost track of time just star gazing and we seen a few shooting starts too! If you’re looking for accommodation in this area I really cannot recommend this place enough! You NEED to visit. We will certainly be coming back!
