Family-friendly vacation rentals in Porto

Bij aankomst doet de gevel iets anders vermoeden, maar het appartement was heel ruim, mooi en had alle voorzieningen. Het is ideaal gelegen aan metrostation Trindade van waaruit je makkelijk overal naartoe kan, ook bij minder goed weer. De flexibiliteit en vriendelijkheid van de host zijn top. Enkel bij terugkeer gebruikt: je kan vanuit de luchthaven makkelijk en goedkoop tot bij het appartement, veel goedkoper dan een taxi! We hadden een leuke en aangename trip in Porto. Everything was great. Sophia was a great, she was helpful and recommend us great things to do and restaurants as well. It was very clean also, I definetly recommend this place.

After you go through the door at street level you walk up a flight of exterior stairs to the front door. The two main bedrooms, kitchen, dining room and bathrooms are on this level then up open stairs to sitting area and additional beds. The apartment is beautifully designed and decorated and beds are very comfortable. It’s very quiet at night. One small store with some food about five minutes away. Clara is very friendly and helpful.

10/10 for Alvaro’s place! He and his wife were extremely welcoming, meeting my friend at the house to let her in and explain how everything works. Alvaro provided us with lots of information, possible itineraries depending on length of stay, and was quick to respond if we had any questions. While the weather wasn’t the best during our stay, the sound of the rain hitting the skylights during the night was very peaceful. The location is extremely safe and tucked away down a gated alley with some other houses. Across from the entrance of the house is a little garden with lemon trees and several other forms of vegetation. The set of colourful stairs that leads back down to street level made it easy to access the main sidewalk which you would take into the city centre (it’s closer than you think!). Upon our departure, Alvaro was kind to let us stay 30 extra minutes as we were having issues completing our check-in for our flight. Wonderful experience, highly recommend Alvaro’s place :)

Vi hadde et fantastisk opphold. God plass, koselige fellesområder og fint nærområdet. Enkelt å komme seg til Porto også. Veldig hyggelig vert. Svarte raskt når vi hadde spørsmål og var fleksibel med utsjekk.

Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und auch an kühlen Tagen gut nutzbar - dem Klimagerät mit Heizfunktion sei Dank. Liebevolle und geschmackvolle Einrichtung - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Hilfreich sind die Restaurant-Tipps. Die Lage ist unschlagbar günstig - nahe am Zentrum und doch ruhig. Danke für die schönen Tage.

João made our family of four feel very welcome. The home had all the essentials for a comfortable stay and the kitchen was well equipped. The house was conveniently located near the Gaia side of the Ponte Luis 1 bridge to downtown Porto. The sunsets at the nearby Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar were beautiful. The home was very well organized and had instruction manuals readily available and even a QR code for easy access to the internet. João was very responsive and even checked in on us when there was a nationwide power outage.

Lovely stay in Porto - apartment was just how it looks in the pictures - note that it's pretty much one large room, with the second double bed on a sort of mezzanine, separated from the main section by wooden slats. It was on the third floor, so might be tricky for people with mobility issues, however the apartment itself was comfortable, clean, air conditioned, and in a fantastic location to explore from without being noisy at all. We stayed for the Primavera Sound festival, and went sightseeing in the day - we could walk to all sightseeing, and were very near the metro for the festival, and only a 35 min journey from the airport! Ideal!

Constanca was extremely helpful and always at the other end of the phone to help with queries we had . She went out of her way to make our stay a very pleasent experience. The cottage is a beautiful place to stay that is a credit to her. Thank you for everything Constanca and hopefully we will return in the future.

La maison est située en bord de mer (la plage est à moins de 5 min de marche) et donne sur un jardin. Nous y avons passé un très bon séjour et avons pu facilement visiter les environs (Gaïa, Aveiro, Porto). Mention spéciale pour Hugo qui est très disponible et dispense de bons conseils.

Estancia muy agradable y Miguel ha sido un anfitrión encantador y muy atento con nosotros. El piso se encuentra un poco en las afueras de Oporto pero el lugar es muy bonito. Muy recomendable!

We had a very comfortable stay in Porto. The apartment was perfect for our 4 small children with plenty of beds and space. It was very walkable to the tram and cafe and into town along the river. It was very easy as a base to explore. Street parking was not difficult to find (for free). Highly recommend.

Loved staying here. Miguel’s information and local support made our stay brilliant. He also helped us with a recommendation for a kayak trip that we really enjoyed. Would stay again if in Porto.

Filipe was very friendly and always responsive whenever I texted him. He regularly contacted us in every other day to see if there was anything he could help us with. The check-in and check-out process was very flexible. If I visit Porto again, I will definitely reach out to him.

We were there for a few nights and liked the stay very much. We walked to the beach often and liked how close it is to Porto. Joaquim helped us with everything we asked for!

Onze verblijf was super!!! Mooie en comfortabele appartement met zicht op oceaan. In de appartement heb je alles wat je nodig hebt. Heel mooie zone om te wandelen langs oceaan! 10 min met de taxi tot Porto centrum, waar ook vanalles te zien valt 👌 Bedankt, Marco voor alles! Wij komen zeker nog terug! 😊

Beautiful, massive unit with tonnes of amazing natural light and ocean views. Very comfortable bed and living areas which were perfect for relaxing after a long day. Big kitchen with everything you could need for a meal any size. Ample parking for your vehicle right outside the entrance door. While Gaia and this location in particular is not “Porto” we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again if we were visiting. The drive from here to the porto old town and city centre can be done in under 15 minutes snd it’s very easy to come and go. This location feels so much less stressful than the busy, tough to navigate streets of Porto. Tonnes of restaurants and a grocery story within a walk or drive, great ocean walk right out front of the door.

My father and I have been travelling for three weeks in Europe and Fred's place was by far the most special. The location is excellent, super safe and quiet neighbourhood with lots of great restaurants and an amazing supermarket less than 5 min walk away. Getting to the historic center of Porto was very very easy with Uber, the most we paid to get to the best parts of Porto (museums, sightseeing, etc.) was 7.5 Euros at the most. The apartment we stayed in was excellent, everything was very modern and Fred thinks of absolutely everything that you would need to feel right at home. Both our beds were very comfortable and the shower/bathroom was super nice. My father and I fell in love with Porto and when we return we will do everything we can to stay at Fred's place, it is that good! Fred gave us sooo much great information about excellent places to eat, do laundry (directly across the street!), grocery shop and sightsee. Fred is an amazing person and we feel very lucky to have met him!

A beautiful Villa with a nice pool and barbecue outside we all love it we are definitely coming back again. Highly recommended.
