Private suite vacation rentals in Port Alberni

The hosts were kind and communicative (despite my anxious dog not making a great first impression!). The hosts provided a fenced in 'back yard' area at the entrance to the suite, which made for many sunny hours lounging in the sun after a walk to the river at the back of the property. The interior of the suite is quite basic and not the most private (I believe their office is on the other side of the door in the living room area and not sound-proofed), and you must be sure to keep your food secured as there are a lot of ants in the suite/kitchen - but what the suite itself lacks is made up for by the sprawling green expanse of the farm and surrounding wildlife. The alpacas were curious and friendly, and my dog enjoyed watching the neighbour's geese down the road. Overall I think my dog enjoyed the property even more than the beaches we visited while in town. Thanks again for the stay! I would visit again just to sit at the river and bask in the forest.

This place was spotlessly clean, spacious, comfortable. A lot of little touches made it exceptional. I particularly liked having the washer and dryer to freshen my clothes mid trip. Highly recommend.

We felt right at home. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. The hottub was such a nice way to finish off the day. The beach is just a block away. We thouroghly enjoyed out stay.

Our stay was truly special. The location is perfect—with unobstructed views of the ocean, and the soothing sounds of sea lions and birds in the background. The home is thoughtfully designed, and we had everything we needed to cook and feel at home. The bench with that view felt like a dream, the hot tub was incredibly relaxing, and the outdoor fireplace was the cherry on top. Bree was warm, welcoming, and very kind. We’d love to return!

The apartment was spacious, welcoming, and spotless – with lovely, thoughtful extras: ample cosy blankets and towels; an amazingly well-appointed kitchen, including a Keurig with pods; an umbrella, iron, and hairdryer; and toiletries! While it was 100% private in the sense that I never ran into anyone during my week-plus stay, you're definitely able to hear your host family living their (engaged and active) lives throughout the day – something to keep in mind, if total silence and solitude are of utmost importance to you. The nights were completely quiet, to be clear! You're a stone's throw from the beach and a long, beautiful hike around Westwood lake; a 1km-ish walk from a coffee shop, pub, and liquor store; and the area is super safe (I felt comfortable walking home alone from my training venue after 9:00pm every night). Danielle was incredibly warm, accommodating, and responsive on every front – going above-and-beyond by receiving a package for me and allowing for a late check-out!

The place was amazing, Brenda was very friendly and responsive. Great views and outdoor space and everything you need inside. Kitchen was stocked with all the equipment and spices you need and the fire pit area is a great place to relax after a day of exploration.

Lovely home with many additional touches provided by the host - coffee,tea, bathroom necessities. Very spacious with extra blankets, pillows etc. Kitchen incredibly well equipped. Beautiful views and outlook.

I cant say enough good about this property. The place was super clean. It was such a nice place to stay at. It was a wonderful neighborhood and very close to the ocean. In the short time I stayed there I absolutely loved it. I would definitely recommend it 100 times over

This place was just amazing in all areas. Perfect size space for you and your family as well. Has so much character inside and out and was one of the best places my girlfriend and I have been to, to just relax. Was so peaceful and such a beautiful view.

This is exactly what we needed for our brief stay. The welcoming chocolates were a delightful surprise, the unit was absolutely spotless and the bed very comfortable.

Alesia & Gleb were fantastic hosts for our one-night stay in Nanaimo. The basement suite is just a few minutes away from most of the popular spots in the town (e.g., 4 minutes from Neck Point Park, ~12 minutes to Harbourfront Walkway, etc.). The space was more than large enough to accommodate our family of 4 along with a 7-year old golden retriever. The backyard made for a great spot for our puppy to run around during the day and play. Would love to return and stay again in the future, highly recommend!

Kerry’s place was cute, clean, and had character. Kerry himself was very kind with good hospitality. I was on a bike tour, and his place fit the bill perfectly with secure bike storage and laundry and all the other amenities one might need in that situation. All told, it was exactly what I needed, with style. Recommended!

What a beautiful Place! It looks exactly like the photos - waterfront, lots of big windows, feels like you are on a boat! The suite is very clean, modern, great shower, comfy bed, everything you need for a comfortable stay. Its quiet and tucked away, but very close to the charming town of Chemainus. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway with a view, nature, yet handy to shops, restaurants and walking trails. I didn't use the hot tub, but appreciated the cozy robe provided. Angela is super nice, helpful, and you get a friendly greeting from Pip the dog. Loved my stay there!

This place is amazing! We had a great stay for sure! Everything was close by, walking distance to the shore and restaurants. The host was very friendly as well and made sure we’re good during our stay. Would definitely recommend and im definitely back again to book this place.
