Sylvie and her family and the puppy, made us feel like friends. The garden was very secure for our dog, lots of lovely places to sit. A good walk for us could be found four minutes walk up the (quiet) road where there was a cycle path that took us into the town with its many amenities, including a lovely little bar and restaurant. Would certainly visit again. Sylvie was specially helpful with any request we made and even telephoned her vet to arrange the necessary paperwork for travelling back to UK with a dog. SO kind, .

Proactive and very kind host. Ideal setting for family reunions, wide indoor and outdoor spaces. Beautiful view from the back garden, with garden tables and chairs, swing and badminton net. Very well equipped, with lots of small touches from the host. We hope to be back!

Despite the dreary weather upon arrival, we had a very nice evening around the wood stove and a very good night. The dome is very cozy. we had breakfast outside in the open air, in the sun with stunning views of the valley.

What the listing does not emphasise enough is the high quality of the way this 300 year old property has been renovated. Plus, the decor and fittings are high quality: it really is like living in a real home, not simply a place that has been kitted out on a budget just for AirBnB. And... always a good sign.... the kitchen knives are sharp, there is an apron for the cook, and spices and herbs are provided. For those of you from the UK, think of the best of 'Rural Retreats' (a very high quality set of holiday rental properties.) The property is in a tiny hamlet of 3 houses. It really is a quiet and beautiful setting. Virginia is generous with access to the garden (which is shared with her home). She is the perfect combination of being friendly but not intrusive.

Very nice holiday spent in Jeanie's cottage. Ideally located to shine in the Beynac, Sarlat and Eyzies region. We were able to multiply the tours and enjoy relaxing at the end of the day in the pool. Very clean and quiet accommodation. We loved it. Jeanie responded quickly to all our questions / requests. thank you for everything!

This is a really lovely cottage in amongst the vines, and a wonderful pool, terrace, bbq... It was extremely hot for the first few days (over 38 degrees) and although the cottage wasn't air-conditioned, it was cool and there were plenty of fans. Emma was extremely helpful and suggested lots of local restaurants and activities which were all great. The cottage was well supplied with everything we needed - good for cooking, and I read from (and donated to) the great little library of books provided. The unexpected bonus was that her TV could access UK BBC live and we watched a LOT of the Olympics with UK commentary! Such a lovely holiday, thank you.

We only stayed at Celine's place one night but we felt like we were in a little corner of heaven with our 2 little girls aged 2 and 5. Too bad our stay didn't take longer! We will be back! Thanks!

My time at Le Petite Chouette was utterly magical. I stayed for a month and fully recharged my soul in this peaceful, beautiful spot surrounded by nature. Ania and Mark are so kind and attentive, and the gite has everything you could possible imagine for your comfort and well-being. The kitchen has everything you might need for cooking, and my favorite part is the bed, as it was more comfortable than hotel beds with crisp fresh linens and even an electric blanket for a cozy night. I’ll never forget my peaceful evenings in front of the fire (thank you for generously supplying wood!) my long walks to chateau Lavauguyon and the village, excursions to Site de Peyrassoulat, my visits to the contemporary art and meteorite museums in Rochechouart, and my lovely chats with Ania, Mark, their sweet dogs, and the chickens! I am forever grateful for what this stay has done for my spirit! I highly recommend this place if you want deep rest!

Alfie and I had a great time at Lee's immaculate courtyard cottage while house hunting in the area. Communication was excellent from beginning to end. A lovely, cosy place and a much appreciated and unexpected tipple awaited us after a long drive, which was very welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. The quality of decor and bed linen is first class. We are looking forward to our next stay again soon. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful stay! Great location, quiet and beautiful. Spacious living space/bedrooms and fully stocked kitchen. Hosts were so pleasant, make sure to do a wine tasting on the property! Would 100% reccomend!

We had a great time for our family reunion. The house is welcoming summer and winter, it was very nice so we were in the square courtyard all grass. The house is full of surprises in terms of decoration and charm. A huge fireplace in one of the lounges is also perfect for winter evenings! And the children's playroom is great, especially the big costume closet and board game closet! Everything was perfect, we'll be back. Veronique

Lovely hosts in a lovely part of the world. If you are looking for peace and quiet - WOW. The experience of the vineyards is only interrupted by frogs and the occasional windy day.

I stayed at Régis and Candice's with my two children, who are two and a half and a half and a half years old. Régis and Candice were very friendly. They introduced us to their animals, which we were lucky enough to feed. My kids and I had a magical time on this farmhouse.

Great stay at Isabelle's who is super nice and available. The accommodation is perfectly maintained and impeccably clean. I would highly recommend it for easy access to Angers and the surrounding area to the south or to Saumur.

We had a pleasant stay at Anne and Nicolas's. The accommodation is very nice, the bedding is comfortable, just a shame not to have a real double bed. The plus is having a washing machine and dryer. Peaceful environment and a joy to be close to their animals. The visit to their dairy farm was very interesting. We had a warm welcome and thank you for your availability. We fell in love with the kangaroo garden which is 35 minutes from the cottage. Terra Botanica is 45 minutes away. There's a lot to visit around the area sometime. We'll be happy to go back

Katie and Gavin offer a lovely stay at their Grande Suite. We were there during a cold spell, and the rooms were warm and relaxing, with a fantastic bathtub and comfortable four-poster bed in a spacious bedroom-sitting room. Very romantic. Soft linens, bathrobes, books and an artificial fireplace. Also a full kitchen set up. Recommend!
