Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Playa Punta Uva

We absolutely loved our stay! The home is even more beautiful in person—like a luxurious treehouse in the jungle. The views were stunning, and we spent most of our trip just enjoying the house. Our kids loved the treehouse, rope swing, and trying cacao fruit right off the trees. One day, a sloth even fell onto the porch (it was fine—apparently it happens!). The pool was warm, clean, and perfect for relaxing, with toucans flying by daily. Beds were comfy, rooms spacious. It’s the rainforest, so there are bugs—just keep food in the fridge and it’s no problem. The location is close to downtown Puerto Viejo and walkable to Cocles restaurants, with amazing beaches nearby. Jerome was incredibly helpful and gave us great local tips and restaurant recs. Highly recommend for a peaceful, unique Costa Rica getaway!

Great place to stay, one restaurant within walking distance so you need a car which we had. Only 5 minutes drive to the centre with lots of restaurants etc.

Had a great week at Alice and Eric's place. Eric messaged me on whats app when I arrived in Costa Rica and made communication and check in easy. They live on the property. I thought this would be a house, but we stayed in 2 rooms with a bathroom and outdoor patio and kitchen. It was very quiet and peaceful. The pool is absolutely beautiful and refreshing. Everything was very clean and we felt very safe.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very affordable and Brenda was quick to answer any inquiries. The house is in a really great location.

Wonderful place for a relaxed and comfortable stay! The apartment was spotless, peaceful, and perfectly located, close to everything yet quiet. Carlos was a very friendly, responsive, and attentive host throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

This place was more than we could have asked for! The property was breathtaking with beautiful jungle atmosphere. Everywhere you look it was our own tropical getaway in paradise! The pool was very pretty and has a small stone waterfall! It was a wonderful place. The hosts were so helpful and very nice! They’re a lovely Swiss couple that helped us out with everything! They gave us a lovely basket of fresh fruit from the property aswell as fresh coconuts! We’re so greatful for the hosts! Puerto Viejo is a gorgeous town and the house is just far enough from the center of town to have some calming peace. But also not too far that it only took around 10 minutes to town with our scooter we rented. We loved everything about our stay. Thank you so much!!! Pura Vida!

Ondanks wat communicatieproblemen door een niet werkende Airbnb app bij de host waardoor hij niet kon reageren op onze berichten, vonden we zijn woning heel makkelijk. We werden enthousiast onthaald en kregen een heel ruime bovenwoning aangeboden. De bedden lagen heerlijk en de woning was rondom afgezet met muggengaas, waardoor we in de avond en nacht nauwelijks werden lastiggevallen door deze beestjes. De woning ligt aan de rand van een gezellig dorpje en een prachtig natuurreservaat. Aanrader!

Wir hatten Jessys Unterkunft durch Google im Internet entdeckt. Ich buche eigentlich lieber direkt beim Gastgeber. Airbnb bekommt für jede Buchung einen Anteil von ca. 20%. Wir waren eine Woche bei Jessy. Es handelt sich um eine schöne Unterkunft mit einer sehr gepflegte Außenanlage. Bei einem längeren Aufenthalt ist das Apartment etwas beengt. Ich würde anderen Gästen empfehlen, in diesem Fall das größere Apartment von Jessy zu buchen, denn das hat einen großen Esstisch. Ein sehr großer Vorteil war, dass wir die Gemeinschaftsterrasse mit Esstisch nutzen konnten. Sie befindet sich direkt neben dem Zimmer. Jessy stellt ihren Gästen Spiele, einen TV und Alexa zu Verfügung. Man kann auch einen großen Grill auf der Terrasse benutzen. Das Internet ist in die Region manchmal gestört und etwas langsam, aber Jessy bekommt bald einen schnellen Glasfaseranschluss. Abschließend kann ich euch sagen, das Jessy eine sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Gastgeberin ist!

Tanto Shannel como Antón son un espectáculo de personas, el lugar está maravilloso, acogedor y pensado con detalles perfectos ellos han sido sin alguna los mejores anfitriones. El lugar tiene la ubicación perfecta frente al mar, divino todo muy privado, muy cómodo, muy limpio el lugar realmente 100/10

I stayed at Manu’s jungle loft for 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. The space is comfortable and rustic, with wonderful views and a very comfortable bed. The beaches nearby are some of the best in the world, and it’s very easy to walk to nearby restaurants or grab a TukTuk any time. Manu and Lucas were kind and gracious hosts. I hope to stay again!

Zinni hat immer schnell und freundlich auf unsere Nachfragen reagiert. Die Unterkunft war durch die Küche und die Waschmaschine gut für Langzeitaufenthalte geeinigt. Hin und wieder hatten wir fleckige Handtücher und Bettlaken zur Verfügung gestellt bekommen, das war aber halb so wild, weil man mehrere Handtücher als Vorrat bekommen hat. Wir haben uns da sehr wohlgefühlt und würden wiederkommen!

pPerfecta ubicacion, la cabaña esta muy cerca del mar y playa negra es hermosa. cerca de Puerto Viejo. 20 min caminando para ir a cenar o desayunar. La caminata de dia por la playa es hermosa. Alojamiento privado y para descanso fenomenal.

Estamos muy satisfechos por todos los servicios brindados y la calidad del trato. La zona es hermosa, la casa cuidadosamente cuidada y en buen estado. Súper espaciosa y con todas las facilidades!

It was a very unique experience. There’s no cell service or wifi so you will need to leave the property to communicate with hosts or in general. We did love staying there and it was a very nice quiet getaway with lots of nature to connect to. There is a waterfall nearby but we found out through locals that the specific waterfall talked about it in the Airbnb is not safe without a tour guide due to robbings and assaults. I would suggest looking at the Google reviews. There are other waterfalls further out that are probably better to visit. We did do the chocolate tour nearby with the Bri Bri and it was a lot of fun. An outdoor shower would have been amazing to have at this property due to how beautiful the property is. We enjoyed our stay and the hosts and Grethel were very kind and responsive.

Beau petit chalet avec l’essentiel. La climatisation était bienvenue dans la chambre ainsi que les moustiquaires dans les fenêtres. Le lieu est privé et bien sécurisé, avec lumières s’activant au mouvement. La terrasse avec hamac est agréable. Pour ceux et celles qui comptent se déplacer à bicyclette, le chemin sur lequel se trouve la cabaña n’est pas pavé et il y a des côtes et des grosses pierres. Avec un vélo de montagne c’était plus facile que les vélos cruiser de ville mais le trajet est tout de même exigeant surtout à 32 Celsius. Si vous êtes en voiture, ce serait plus facile bien sûr. Notre séjour fut tout de même très agréable.

Bei Dalma und ihrem Mann reichen 5 Sterne eigentlich gar nicht aus. Die beiden haben uns herzlich empfangen und alles war (inklusive einem selbstgemachten Begrüßungs-Drink im Kühlschrank) bestens vorbereitet. Das Häuschen ist liebevoll eingerichtet und liegt direkt an der Grenze zum Cahuita-Natiolpark. Ein kleiner Traum mit wundervollen Gastgebern. Von uns gibt es 10 von 5 Sternen!

Karine mérite haut la main sa réputation de « super hôte », pour son accueil chaleureux, pour toutes les petites attentions à notre égard (café, thé, chocolat, fruits, jus frais, collations du jour à notre arrivée) et pour son respect de l’environnement (savon, shampoing, papier de toilette, compost). La cuisine est bien équipée pour cuisiner, la salle de bain est magnifique avec une douche très efficace et eau chaude en bonus. Il y a deux chambres et les lits sont confortables. La mer est à quelques pas de marche et la plage était presque déserte même en cette période de la semaine sainte qui est une semaine de congé pour les costaricains. Malheureusement, nous avons eu de la pluie pendant notre séjour et comme la cabane est ouverte sur la nature, c’était humide. Mais, nous recommandons cet endroit sans hésiter!

Super petit chalet en bois, plus charmant que sur les photos ! Il est plus grand que ce que l’on croyait, les lits sont de bonne qualité, et l’environnement est exceptionnel : la plage très calme est à 2 minutes à pieds et nous pouvons observer une faune très riche depuis le salon (toucans, agoutis…). Super Negro (= supermarché grand et de qualité) à quelques minutes en voiture. Nous aurions aimé y rester plus longtemps, c’est un vrai havre de paix ☮️
