House vacation rentals in Platanias

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is very lovingly furnished, clean and has a fantastic location right on the beach. The surrounding area is perfect for sightseeing (close to Chania, Aptera) and hiking. The hosts were very easy to reach and very friendly - there were even some Greek delicacies to welcome us. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this place! Thank you very much!

Our family had an amazing time here! It was a great central location for excursions, and had several restaurants within walking distance as well as some flat roads for jogging. The house was perfect for our needs with a great layout. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, as well as the clean modern furnishings. Minoas’s communication was excellent! A wonderful host who provided kitchen basics for the start of our stay and a lovely gift at the end. We would love to stay here if we return to Crete.

Especially Ourania - Dafni's mother and Malfada (Dafni's dog in the care of Ourania) really made us feel at home. She showed us what Cretan hospitality is, including local food. Coming home in the evening and sometimes staying there during the day was always a pleasure - both under the wonderful mulberry tree in the courtyard and in the beautiful house. There were plenty of excursion destinations - beautiful beaches and good food too. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Beautiful villa in a wonderful setting, the outside space is really spectacular. Everything you could need is available at the villa. We were staying with a 10m old and there were loads of baby items which made our trip so much easier. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and helped us with recommendations when we asked. Would highly recommend this villa. It’s also within easy driving distance to lovely places on the island.

10 out of 10! This villa was absolutely perfect for our week in Chania! Clean and spacious, plus a very nice pool that’s kept at the perfect temperature for swims at any time of the day. Lia was so lovely and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be staying here when we return.

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

We had a great time staying at Zoi and Jorge's place, Villa Amorada is picture perfect and the surrounds are stunning.

Andrea's villa and location was as wonderful as we'd hoped. We loved swimming in our private pool before breakfast and the view of the ocean from the terrace was outstanding, especially for sunsets, which were spectacular. The location was great, being situated away from crowds but with easy access to many beautiful beaches and tavernas. Andrea's handy hints were really useful, from where to refill water bottles from a spring, or which taverna on Sfinari beach to visit. He responded very quickly if we had any questions, so overall cannot recommend this villa highly enough. Thanks Andrea!

We loved every day here! Very high-quality amenities, tasteful and cozy furnishings, kitchen is well equipped (everything you need for cooking and enough to fill a dishwasher), very clean and fresh towels and bed linen, fantastic view (all 5 terraces!) with wonderful tranquility, and an extraordinarily warm welcome package (wine, milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, honey...). Very special!

Our family stay was even more enjoyable than expected. We quickly felt right at home. The house (Polymnia) is exactly as described and illustrated by the photos. The view and environment are amazing, while the pool delighted the children. The house is perfectly maintained and clean. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning in the rooms is very efficient. The overall equipment is complete. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking, with basic condiments as well. Chrysi is an extremely available host, pleasant to contact. Very responsive, she always responded to our requests, no matter how small. She loves her region and does not hesitate to share her knowledge through valuable advice. We would recommend this simply magical place without thinking twice.

This is a great place to stay in if you are looking for a lovely villa and pool in a very quiet and private location. The main sound is the goat bells ringing across the hills, yes really! Although it’s in the countryside there is easy access to the coast and the nearest village Vamos. Recommend trying the restaurants in Vamos. The hosts Judy and Mike are fantastic and are there to help if needed but otherwise give you space to enjoy this lovely place. Thanks very much Judy and Mike!!

The two villas were excellent better in real life than the photographs in the brochure. George the owner was super helful. A beautiful sunset every night in front of the villas, very beautiful area, Greece at its best. Every restaurant, supermarket shops etc , super helpful people and so friendly, we all felt very welcome. A perfect holiday.

Alexandra’s place finished off our holiday perfectly. It was better than the photos, with everything you needed. Cristina was great, very friendly and helpful, happy to welcome her to Australia if she comes for a holiday. There are quite a few restaurants around and it is only a short drive into Chania Old town (depending on traffic). The location was great as you could book tours or hire a boat. From this location we went to Balos, winery, olive oil tour and got to know the area. Would definitely stay again or recommend friends to stay. Thanks for making Crete so memorable.

we had a great time. location was really good for beaches Chania main town, and restaurants. Michail was really helpful for anything we needed. However the only issues we had was we didn't realise the apartment was spilt into 2. So when we arrived we was with another couple sharing the pool with us. Also the owner kept coming out to ask us to move off certain tables and stop kicking balls. In conclusion, really nice villa just needs to be advertised as a shared villa.

We felt very comfortable in the stone, small summer house. We loved the courtyard covered by an old vine. In the evening you could illuminate it comfortably and beautifully. We were pleased that there were all the necessary spices in the kitchen and a bottle of red wine was on the table to welcome you. The location in a quiet side street but still only 2 minutes walk from the beach and the old village center of Colombia is ideal. The handover and communication with Dimitrios was very nice and straightforward. We are happy to recommend the place! We felt very comfortable in the small stone summer house. Really nice room in front of the sea.

Stayed here for a week late Sept. Was fantastic. the best AB&A I think so far. Big place, very secure, easy walk to beach and to old town (once you get your bairings there are little short cuts-it just took us a while. Great bathroom- seperate loo downstairs too. big bed in main room . Fully equiped kitchen- although we mostly ate out- loads restaurants in beach area and town. We thought prices were good eating out. would defo come back again. location and actual place was great. We spent days on beach and nights in the old town. Apartment was lovely and quiet at night and very secure. Little outside space- great for cooling off. Little supermarket round corner- ok but would suggest going bigger super market (by Zara) to get supplies.about a 10 min walk once you get your bairings. Harbour a must in eve just to sit and have a drink- is beautiful- maybe eat in the little streets behind.

We had three very nice weeks in Sophia's house. Sophia and Nikos were very helpful. They had made the house proper until we arrived, even breakfast in the fridge and delicious olive oil and wine. We were missing a few small things, they sorted this out for us right away. They stopped by occasionally to clean the pool and check that everything was okay. We traveled with three small children, so the pool was diligent in use and very much enjoyed by the children. Is also walking distance to the beach. In the garden there was a play cabin that the youngest really appreciated, otherwise all of the baby equipment and toys, and games for the bigger kids. We were here out of season, so unfortunately there was nothing open. It was made it a bit boring and we also became dependent on a car or bus. In high season there are open restaurants and shops nearby. Really recommend staying here. Thank you so much for the great weeks!

We stayed at Thomas's house for a relaxing, car-free beach holiday at the end of September. The house was very comfortable, with a lovely garden overlooking the sea that was perfect for outdoor meals. Bakery, supermarkets, a few neighbourhood restaurants and sandy beaches all within walking distance -the nearest beach is about 10 minutes' walk with two more slightly further. Chania is a short bus ride away. Thomas was a charming and helpful host, who made us feel very welcome.

We loved our stay so much :) It was super peaceful. We enjoyed the outdoor area a lot. It is super convenient to have groceries and restaurants nearby. Minas was lovely (as well as all the people we met in Kissamos) 😁 A friends trip that we will never forget!

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

Eleni & Michalis’s apartment was perfect! Very roomy and modern! Crete is huge, so their apartment was centrally located and easy to drive to all the beautiful beaches and important points of interest that tourists would love to see! The apartment is near some beautiful beaches and great great affordable restaurants to dine at!! I found Crete absolutely beautiful with so many things to do with all types of activities!! (something for everyone) Crete is very family oriented so lots of choices for children as well! Michalis & Eleni are very helpful and really easy to help you when you need it! Thank you me and my family had a wonderful time!!!
