Cottage vacation rentals in Plainview

Beautiful view and very close to several access points to the lake and marinas. it was very quiet and peaceful when we stayed and I got to enjoy the view and some bird watching from the deck!

Wonderfully appointed cabin almost in the woods. Great balance of privacy and accessibility to area amenities and services. Appalachian trail, historic Gettysburg, Amish farm stands/dairies/sawmills all within a <30 min drive. Great outdoor firepit, chiminea and camp stoves under strings of lights. Indoor kitchen fully functional for indoor cooking. Jessica obviously put love and care into this great space. Used it as a couples getaway, but the loft is good for 2 sleepers if you are a family. On my list of places to revisit.

We were in the area to see our daughter graduate from Miami University. The cottage was extremely comfortable. I have stayed at a lot of airbnb’s and this one is the cleanest by far. Elizabeth provided everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. We plan on coming back for a longer stay just to relax.

This place was amazing and such an awesome find for our trip. Host was super communicative, and the place matched the description. Would have loved to stayed longer. Fun time kayaking, hot tub, fire pit and the place had everything we could imagine. The restaurants were great too

All around incredible stay, one of the most comfortable beds I've had in an Airbnb yet and everything was exactly as described. At sun-up and sundown we had a chance to see some passing wildlife including deer and what we presume were wild turkeys, but even just at the front porch a cute little hamster-like vole had made a home and it was great. Really awesome place with convenient short drives to Asheville for plenty to do, would stay again for sure!

Chickens and Cows and Cats. Oh, my. Lovely, comfy, peaceful. Quite well cared for with an obvious focus on cleanliness and a carefree guest experience. Just a short drive to great restaurants or it’s very easy to cook right at the cottage. We will certainly be returning😎 (DiD Both.

Nice location just across from the main house, but there is a small patch of woods between them. Clean home with all the necessities, a great host, and a big bonus is they have wood provided for the fire pit.

This place was amazing! The inside is decorated beautifully and the lake/dock area is perfect for those looking to relax. There are so many cozy areas inside and outside the house to unwind and enjoy the peacefulness. We wish we had more time here to just getaway and we will definitely be coming back in the summer when it is warmer!

Charles and Ruthie are a wonderful couple. They had fresh baked cookies waiting for us. We especially enjoyed our chat with Ruthie and playing with their adorable little dog. The view is outstanding and so very peaceful. We would definitely go back there.

Worth every penny! We have stayed here a few times and it’s always a great trip. Great communication from the host and cabin is just perfect for a successful fishing trip or just a relaxing stay on the lake. Everything you need just bring clothes and food. Fishing is great too and place to tie the boat up is priceless! Oh, neighbors very friendly and welcoming too. We will pick this place every time it’s available. 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stayed at this cozy little cottage tucked back in the mountains for 5 nights during a solo motorcycle trip. Tochia was extremely accommodating and helpful whenever I had questions or needed a little assistance. The house was tidy, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

This was a perfect quite get away to relax and unplug after busy days of dog training ans trialing. Its close enough to the city to go do things, but far enough away to relax. Evenings in particular were very relaxing sitting on the porch listening to nature.

Lee was great to work with and accommodating. Look forward to the chance to come and stay at Lees place again. Our grandchildren loved catching fish off the dock!

My husband & I have been staying in TN the last 5 years for our anniversary. Plenty of room for our boat and two cars (we had our kids with us this year). This cottage is easily the best place we’ve stayed at. So peaceful & relaxing. Beautiful waterfall right in the back yard as well as a lake right across from the cottage. I enjoyed the porch swing, reading my book and listening to the waterfall. Hopefully this house will be available next year when we visit again.

ABSOLUTELY recommend staying here! It’s so peaceful and serene. Amazing views of acreage/farm land, trees, etc. Wild turkeys roaming around outside. Beautiful horses, a few steps away. The guesthouse had everything we needed, including phone chargers, in case we needed them. The bathroom even has extra toothbrushes available. Snacks, coffee pods, and water were also left for us, prior to our arrival! The special touch was the “white noise” sound machine in the bedroom! We came here for The Homesteading Festival, so this place was perfect for us! (As homesteaders from the country, why would we ever want to stay in the city?) Thanks Mike & Donna for being such wonderful hosts. We will be back next year!

Airbnb is is our top choice for lodging when traveling. It was especially nice to find such a top of the line place, welcoming, decorated superiorly, provided everything you needed for your stay, we didn't cook any meals, but, everything was provided if you had wanted to. Private and quiet, and we slept well in the comfortable bed. It will be our choice when we return back for a night or 2 in Norman. -Dave & Teresa

We loved our stay at the Little Dipper. The house is spacious and comfy - exactly as advertised. It is well-stocked yet neat and clean with no clutter. The screened-in porch is a real gem that connects to a boardwalk leading to a river-view deck. Whether home basing to travel, or tide-watching and kayaking, the Little Dipper's location and setting facilitates a relaxing stay with stunning view day and night. The general location is also super. Urbanna, VA is a quaint little town and you're not far from historic Yorktown or Williamsburg. If you are staying in this vicinity, the Little Dipper is a win. We would stay here again.

Hope’s place was delightful! Very private, a beautiful view, lots of cute farm animals and in a very nice neighborhood with lots to do! The inside was very cozy and romantic. Overall, the stay was fantastic!

Beautiful location for a restful break. Lots of amenities! Everything we needed in the well stocked kitchen to cook and stay in, which is exactly what we wanted. Personalized extra touches from the host made us feel very welcome and at home. Many comfy places to relax outside while enjoying the sun and stunning lake view. We enjoyed some of the provided games and did some kayaking. So fun! Host was kind, checked in occasionally and we felt very well cared for. Thanks!

We absolutely loved our stay! Tucked in the peaceful woods, the setting was perfect—especially the covered outdoor dining space and cozy firepit area with a fire starter, string lights, chairs, blankets, and even a s'mores basket. The shed for bike storage was an additional bonus. Inside was just as thoughtfully designed: a well-equipped kitchen, two TVs, comfy furnishings, games, and great lighting. The attention to detail made our stay feel extra special. In Fayetteville, we enjoyed The Farmer's Table Cafe, The Four of Wands Metaphysical Shop, The Farmers Market, Jammin Java, Razorback Greenway Bike Trail, and Vetro 1925 Ristorante. Don't miss the Crystal Bridges American Art Museum in Bentonville, just 30 minutes north. We can't wait to return to this ideal getaway—a lovely spot!

We had a great stay at Kacey's cabin and highly recommend staying here! The location feels like it's far away from town without actually being far away from town. We enjoyed the fit pit and the pond during our stay. The cabin itself is adorable with plenty of space. It was clean and very nicely decorated. They have games available and a fully equipped kitchen if you plan on cooking. The bathroom/shower is very nice! If you don't want to cook, there are plenty of great restaurants within 5-10 minutes. We tried the Wheelhouse and Maple & Yolk and both were great! Riggs is right down the road and sometimes has live music and food trucks, the atmosphere was great. Highly recommend the Saturday farmers market if your visit falls on days when that is taking place. We will definitely be back for another visit and will be adding this cabin to our list of quick weekend getaways.

Well I can only add yet another wonderful review of this beautiful cottage! We absolutely loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. The cottage is stunning and is just like the photos. It is exquisitely furnished and very homely. The setting is simply stunning! We couldn’t believe the views we saw out of all the windows. It is so close to town and yet you find yourself in this amazing, peaceful location with cows grazing around you! Rebekah was a wonderful, helpful host. She patiently answered all my questions. We can’t wait to return.
