I was for visiting Ecuador for work and stayed a bit longer than a week in Quito. Cumbaya is a great area and was able to find and purchase all necessary items for a calm stay at the apartment. On top of all, there is a spa, a swimming pool and a parking spot. I was really feeling like at home away from home.

Nuestra estancia fue increíble. La casa estaba impecable, muy bien equipada y ubicada en una zona tranquila, ideal para descansar. Great airbnb in a beautiful and calm location. Restaurants, groceries, and small fruit and vegetable store nearby. Great for long stays. The neighborhood has become my favorite in Quito. The host is very responsive and accommodating. The apartment is clean with a full functioning kitchen, the patio is a plus. I greatly recommend staying here.

Daily visits from donkey Margarita & black lab Carbone were added pleasures to our stay. Felipe was responsive to hot water issue. Took guests to church on property. Explained history of property, Quito and Ecuador in general. He was extremely kind and helpful. Picked up & transported us back to airport for reasonable fee. Modest but lovely home.

Franklin is an amazing host. when I asked for something he went above and beyond and in a very timely manner. the house is in a very safe area, which was important to us. the yard was great for our 2 dogs. the fireplace was awesome and wood was supplied. there are little restaurants close by or you can taxi for $1.5 into the town of Cotacachi. there is also a tienda close by for bread etc. we were not used to barking dogs in the night, but that will not stop us from returning. definitely recommend Franklin's place.
