We are about 45 minutes from the Outer Banks and about 30 minutes from H2Obx water park and 30 minutes from historic Edenton. Virginia Beach is also a short drive from us.

This is a beautiful area of NC with great access to many places to kayak, such as Merchant’s Millpond State Park, Bennett’s Creek, Little River, and the Perquimans River (that boat launch is just down the road). This is our second visit to the Cottage; we’d happily stay there again. The kitchen and linens were well stocked. The beds are very comfortable. They’ve added a deck since our first visit, which we enjoyed. Be sure to visit Layden’s Store up the road! In all, a great place to stay.

Nate is a great host as well. very helpful and very friendly and easy to talk to. He has a great personality and just make you feel like you been knowing him for a long time.

Frank and Connie were wonderful hosts and their home is even better than the photos or written description! The home is in such a great location and it’s extremely peaceful and relaxing. The views alone were enough to keep us coming back! I can’t think of a single thing that was missing or lacking, this home and hosts were that perfect. Putting this AirBnb on the top of my list for best stays and I hope to stay here in the future!

Our stay was perfect for us. The open floor plan made it easy to clean up and go before checkout. The beds are really comfortable and we felt like we could really relax. We rented during the fall/winter but could really see this place being a perfect spot over the summer months!

A true home away from home! The house was spotless and incredibly comfortable—I slept like a baby every night. The back patio quickly became my favorite spot to relax; it had such a peaceful vibe. Cannot say enough nice things about this place and our host. We stayed for the Christmas holiday while visiting family and felt very at home. The place was decorated for Christmas and we were left ingredients for s’mores! My 5 year old was so excited. Super tucked away in a neighborhood and so peaceful and quiet. Beautiful backyard and an updated interior. We would definitely stay again.

This place was awesome, 5 out of 5 stars. If I could give it 6, or 7, or...well, you get the picture. It is a really nice townhome in a quiet area, very close to the water and downtown Elizabeth City. They call this particular townhouse Sugar Pea, and I really can't say enough about it. The townhouse itself is updated and you almost feel like you are the first people to occupy it. If they will have me, I will be back. If you are looking for a place in Elizabeth City NC, look no further, this is it. If you want to go to the beach, like the Outer Banks (OBX), but don't want to get into the hustle and bustle of OBX, this is the place. You are within an hour of the beach, but you can use Sugar Pea as a quiet base of operations. Sugar Pea is AWESOME!!!
