Frank and Martha’s place is super cute. The lake is beautiful and peaceful. The house has lots of open space and is a short drive to all the essentials. Frank’s and Martha were very communicative and accommodating leading up to my stay. Highly recommend!

Kristin is the best host and who knew she’s such a talented artist! Her lovely paintings added to the great atmosphere! We enjoyed our stay and spent 90% of our time on the balcony enjoying the view and Kristin’s beautiful landscaping. We needed a sanctuary for a getaway and found it. You won’t be disappointed!

My family and I truly enjoyed the peace, natural beauty, cleanliness, and comfort here. The kitchen had everything we needed. The house and property are beautiful. Walking outside to sit on the private pier was wonderful. Highly recommend for a quiet, peaceful, beautiful getaway in nature. Seems like an ideal place to fish and kayak, maybe next time!

We have stayed at this airbnb several times. The apartment looks exactly like the photos and is always ready and clean. Donnie is very helpful and quick to respond to any questions or requests. I particularly appreciate the photo attachments he sends to help clarify location instructions. Great host and location!

Like the description, it is a peaceful paradise! Outside has beautiful sunrise, and amazing open water views. We took great photos just form the front yard. Inside has artistic decorations. It is truly a unique property. The three-night stay is just too short for us to enjoy all the amenities and to have enough time to talk with Alan and Nora. Will come back again!

This is our new favorite experience! I say that because staying on Mechelle's boat is more than a place to sleep. It's truly an experience. We loved it! Not a king-sized bed, but we didn't expect that. It's a boat, silly! But very comfy. And we could make the bedroom nice and dark, but who wanted to sleep in when we could sit on the deck, drink our coffee, and watch the day begin on the Pasquotank River! The overhead AC works like "white noise" that drowns out anything coming from the bridge or the brewery. (It's nestled between the two.) I brought earplugs thinking we would need them. Nope! We walked everywhere, and there is lots to do in the cute downtown. Mechelle is an exceptionally accommodating hostess. She met us at the boat, gave us a tour, and left her number in case we needed to reach out, and went above and beyond with a chilled bottle of wine and cycling-friendly snacks (we were there for a cycling event. Adorable, charming, cuddly houseboat! We'll be back!!!

We enjoyed a peaceful stay after long days on bikes. We were in town for the NC Coastal ride. After riding for 30+ miles each day we came back to a tranquil location. The home is immaculate. Every item one would ever need was provided. It was perfect to have a full size fridge for our supplies. Beth even left firewood in case we wanted to enjoy the fire pit. We were able to stretch and get in a yoga session on the dock. Yoga mats were provided. The home feels like a ship in that it is surrounded by water. The waves and fresh air made for incredible sleep each night. An osprey nest is outside the window. With the binoculars we were able to watch the progress of the nest and the amazing pair catch fish. The communication throughout the stay was spot on. The “billion dollar” view is remarkable, but the amenities and care from the homeowner make this is top notch vacation spot.

Tranquility on the Sound

My friends and I were in the area for a 3 day bicycle ride and we really enjoyed staying here. The word “tranquility” describes it perfectly. It was so peaceful having morning coffee and an evening post ride beer on the deck overlooking the bay. We especially liked that we had access to the garage to store our bikes. The host are super responsive to questions. Wish we could have used the kayaks but it was still a little too cool in April. If this annual ride returns to this area I would not hesitate to stay here again.

We stayed here while fishing the Bassmaster Elite Series tournament at the Pasquotank. Perfect place for fisherman with plenty of parking for multiple trucks and boats. A quiet, safe, country setting. Host was very friendly and responsive. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to this area.

We had a great stay!! The house is charming, nice layout and in a great location. We enjoyed the hot tub and spent quality time on the front porch. I highly recommend this house. Great for a family or group of friends.

Our stay was perfect for us. The open floor plan made it easy to clean up and go before checkout. The beds are really comfortable and we felt like we could really relax. We rented during the fall/winter but could really see this place being a perfect spot over the summer months!
