Monthly Rentals in Périgord noir

This month-long stay was beyond anything we could have ever imagined- magical, beautiful, and incredibly well cared for. Morgane was the best host and was super responsive to queries throughout our entire stay. She went out of her way to bring us packages and to pick us up and drop us off at the train station. We did not rent a car and we were able to get around to all surroundings areas through an amazing trail network. The amenities were fantastic and the house itself was clean and super cozy. The water pressure and shower was great and we loved having access to a washing machine. The mattress was comfortable (like sleeping on a cloud) and the blackout shades available in every room were incredible. We both work remotely and the internet upload/download speed was phenomenal and we were able to work without any issue. We are definitely looking forward to coming back in the future as this was the perfect introduction to Dordogne.

very nice spacious cabin, the windows/bay windows bring a lot of light and a soothing view of the grounds. Very well-equipped. Very pleasant stay, and Rosa is adorable.

The barn was beautiful and had all the necessary amenities for our stay. Our hosts were very proactive and communication was excellent. It really is a beautiful region of France and everything has been perfect. We would highly recommend.

What the listing does not emphasise enough is the high quality of the way this 300 year old property has been renovated. Plus, the decor and fittings are high quality: it really is like living in a real home, not simply a place that has been kitted out on a budget just for AirBnB. And... always a good sign.... the kitchen knives are sharp, there is an apron for the cook, and spices and herbs are provided. For those of you from the UK, think of the best of 'Rural Retreats' (a very high quality set of holiday rental properties.) The property is in a tiny hamlet of 3 houses. It really is a quiet and beautiful setting. Virginia is generous with access to the garden (which is shared with her home). She is the perfect combination of being friendly but not intrusive.
