Thank you Pippa and Bradley for making our 2025 New Year magical. The cottage is lovely and met our needs perfectly. However the best thing about this cottage is the location. We absolutely loved the solitude and peacefulness, hopefully not too disturbed by us. Would highly recommend this cottage if peace and quiet is what you are after. We should also add that despite staying over New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day Pippa and Bradley were awesome hosts who made us feel really welcome and properly looked after. Thank you again for making our stay so wonderful.

A lovely wee cottage away from all the hustle and bustle. The kids particularly loved the games room with its pool table, darts board and many board games. We’ll need to go back when the skies are clearer to get the full dark skies experience. Kielder was very nice with great walks from the castle, note to self to bring mountain biking gear next time.

Bessies Town is an absolute treasure. From the moment we arrived, we were taken by the beautiful setting — peaceful, green, and completely off the beaten track. The accommodation itself is immaculate: beautifully furnished, full of charm, and incredibly comfortable. The **linen was outstanding** — crisp, fresh, and luxuriously soft — a detail that truly elevated our stay. We loved the tranquility and sense of privacy, yet the home had everything we needed. It's worth noting that you’ll definitely need a car to get there, as it's tucked away in the countryside — but that’s part of what makes it so special. If you're looking for a relaxing, high-quality rural retreat, this place is exceptional. We left feeling completely refreshed and already planning our return!
