After a day outdoors, warm up in a traditional Finnish sauna, gather around the fireplace, or sit by the outdoor firepit under a star-filled sky. Sleep in silence, wake up to snow. Welcome to our cozy lakeside cottage with private sauna on the Arctic Circle, a warm retreat where Nordic simplicity meets soulful comfort. Set on 2.7 ha of private land with direct access to Lake Miekojärvi, it’s the perfect place to slow down, reconnect, and feel again. We are Joakim from Sweden and Jenny from Germany. We fell in love with the stillness and beauty of Arctic Finland, and we’re excited to share our cottage, and a little piece of that magic, with guests from around the world.

Riverside Dream Apartment

Welcome to enjoy your holiday in Rovaniemi and be our guest. Cozy 50m2 apartment of a familyhouse by a river: Kitchen, livingroom with sleeping loft, bathroom, balcony, underground sauna and jacuzzi (extra price), barbecue and parking place. There are four beds (one double and two singles) and if necessary baby's bed. Apartment is located in a peacefull familyhouse area and it takes 5 min drive and 20 min walk to city center. Supermarket is very close also (2 min drive and 10 min walk).

Lapland cabin by a lake

This small, traditional, Lappish, log cabin is located right at lake Norvajärvi shore, only some steps to the water or ice. Enjoy the lake view and forest around you, immerse to the nature and its sounds and smells and marvel the northern lights and cosy up by the open fire. Cabin has electricity but no running water. We bring drinking water in containers and washing water to sauna is taken from the sweet water lake. We are 20km from Rovaniemi city, apprx 30min drive with no street lights.

Päärakennuksessa keittiö, ruokailutila ja olohuone. Erillinen wc, jossa varusteluna pyykkikone ja kuivuri sekä sähkösauna ja suihkutila, jossa myös wc-istuin. Kaksi makuuhuonetta (molemmissa parivuode), parvi, jossa vuodesohva (120x200) sekä tarvittaessa 2 lisävuodetta. Lisäksi päärakennuksessa ulkokautta oleva käynti yläkerrassa olevaan lisä huoneeseen, jossa kaksi vuodetta sekä nojatuolit ja pieni jääkaappi 2 kahdelle. Pihassa myös ulkosauna ja lasitettu grillikota. Laituri rannassa.

A cosy cottage in a beautiful area only a 30min drive from the city centre. You can set up a bonfire by the stream, listen to the magic sounds of the nature and watch the sky. This is one of the best places in town to see the Aurora Borealis.Now they are at their best and you can see them just looking out of the window inside the cottage!The cottage is right next to the river Ounasjoki.The cottage is only a short distance from the city center but you will be just like different world.

Kesällä pääset nauttimaan ilta-auringosta ja yöttömän yön valosta.Talvella saatat bongata revontulia, ja vuodenvaihteessa näet taatusti paljon ilotulituksia!

Tässä unohtumattomassa kohteessa voit kokea uudelleen yhteyden luontoon. Lasi-iglussa koet Lapin luonnonilmiöt kuin olisit osa niitä, kesän yöttömän yön, talven tuiskun ja revontulet sekä hiljaisuuden erämaajärven rannalla. Alueella on päärakennus josta löydät a-oikeuksilla varustetun ravintolan, jossa tarjoillaan aamiainen sekä valmistetaan tilauksesta päivällistä. Päärakennuksessa myös erilliset wc:t ja suihkut naisille ja miehille.

The main building of 75m2 is all refurbished with two bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, living room and a new bathroom. This traditional Finnish cottage is located by the Lake Norvajärvi 15 km from the center of Rovaniemi and 10 km from the airport. We have renovated the cottage in summer and fall 2019&2022 for your better use. Here you can feel the Finnish cottage culture and enjoy the peace of nature and silence. If the weather is good for the Northern lights and you want to see them this is the place.
