Waterfront vacation rentals in Lapland

We had a great time at Eija's place. It's as nice as the pictures suggest and a good starting place for exploring northern Finland. As a general tip, I'd recommend traveling by car, then you can easily reach several national parks and other sights in the area, as well as Rovaniemi. The area is calm, the frozen lake and snowy scenery make for a serene retreat. Eija was always quick to respond, helpful and friendly. Definitely recommended!

Our stay at Laura and Antti was most comfortable and memorable. They were both responsive and helpful. We had an early morning check in having booked the place from previous night onwards. Laura offered to pick us from the station and helped us check in. The place was exactly as described in the listing and as shown in the pictures. All things of requirement were present. The place overlooks the river and is barely a 2 min walk. The tourist informatiom center is a 5 min walk away. Most tours start from here. Supermarket, coffee shops, market place and bus stops are all at a 5-7 mins walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We enquired about getting a sledge for our 5 year old and they got that for us the very next day. We found their place through a recommnedation from a friend who stated 7-8 years ago and would definitely recommend to friends who will travel to Rovaniemi !

We enjoyed very much the beautiful and peaceful surrounding. Very responsive host, had a little problem with the door, Ari came to help us in no time. Lovely place with a lot for the kids to do. Will definitely stay again when we come back.

We would highly recommend staying at this apartment. The building is exceptionally clean and quiet, while the area feels safe. Being right on the sea, the view from the sixth-floor apartment was lovely, even in winter. Plenty of steaming hot water and comfortable beds, there was nothing to dislike, and I am very fussy about where I stay.

I've stayed at this place often and I book it whenever I can. Everything is right.

The apartment is located in a beautiful neighbourhood, overlooking a lake that was frozen when we arrived. We felt right at home as soon as we got there. The apartment is super cozy and has everything that one needs during his/her stay. We were three, and we thought that the space was perfectly sized for us. The railway station and the city centre are all at a walkable distance, with some stunning views on the way. All in all, I loved my time here and can’t wait to be back.

We loved our time here! The cabin was very cozy and had everything we needed, it was in a beautiful surrounding with forests and a large frozen lake next to it. The location is very quiet and we saw the northern lights right outside our balcony. Can definitely recommend this place! Only one thing can be improved - we had breakfast included but unfortunately there were no vegan options available.

We had the greatest stay at Kosti’s ! He’s the best host we could ask for. He’s always available when you need anything, and makes sure for your stay to be as welcoming as possible. The sauna and pool are really nice to enjoy, and the location is perfect. The (then frozen) river next to the house offered us the possibility to watch wonderful auroras, and the proximity the Ounasvaraa ski station allowed us to enjoy it as much as possible. I could only recommend you to stay at Kosti’s place if you want your stay to be the best, and feel as a local.

Juhas Villa is one of the best accommodations i‘ve been to during all my Journeys. It‘s located very beautiful and private near a huge lake. The Villa is spacious and equipped very well. It‘s 30 minutes from Ranua by car away. So it’s a good Place to visit for example the Ranua Wildlife Park. We also Went to Korouoma Canyon from Juhas Villa. It’s easy to get to the Villa by car, Even in Winter when the streets are a Little Snowy. We (5 people) have been there in March with a rentalcar. Juha is so friendly, Helpful and polite! He Went icefishing with us on the lake and offered us warm Drinks and Snacks. The best things of the Villa were the Sauna, the whirlpool and spotting the polarlights out of the livingroom. I can absolutely recommend Juhas Villa and I‘d love to come back, maybe in Summer next time! Everything was Perfect, thank you!

Riverside Dream really lived up to it's name, such a beautiful, clean home with stunning views in the perfect location! Joni-Arttu was extremely responsive and friendly, making the booking, check in and stay so smooth. The property is in a prime location, 10- 20 minutes from most attractions and the airport. We were easily able to book local taxis to and from the home. Such a spacious property that was super clean and decorated for Christmas with a lovely Christmas tree and inviting candles/lights. We (a family of 4) enjoyed the grill hut and sauna and were lucky to witness the Northern Lights from the garden! Our boys appreciated the children's games and the sledges. We fall in love with this house. It has a lot of great moment to offer. You can walk on the frozen lake, playing snow around the house, and even seeing aurora from the house window. Love the surroundings! The amenities are also great. Thank you host for the great house with excellent service.

very nice house, warm. Beautiful and peaceful surroundings. You can take a sauna and then go down the stairs and swim in the river. We saw the northern lights on the first and last day of our vacation from the cottage. The village of Santa Claus is only 30 minutes from the shawl as well as the town of Rovaniemi. Highly responsive host.

We ( 2 families) had an amazing stay at Johanna’s ! The house is large enough well furnished and the kitchen fully equipped. Everything as described in the listing. The location is super nice and we were able to see the northern lights from the house itself !! Johanna was quick to respond to our concerns and she takes care of providing extra heating during the very cold days! If you have a car with you.. then it’s impossible to go wrong with this stay. The accommodation was perfect for our stay in Rovaniemi. The flat is very central and there are many restaurants and shops nearby. The flat is furnished to a very high standard and you immediately feel at home. I can really recommend it! Leena is a great host and was always easy to contact.

We had a wonderful stay at Johanna's place. The apartment was very nicely furnished with attention to detail and very clean. The kitchen was very well equipped. The area is quiet, private and great for watching the Northern Lights. At Johanna's, we saw the strongest northern lights of our lives. Johanna herself was a very likeable host.

It was great! The apartment is super central, you can do a lot on foot. It is modern and has everything you need.

We traveled with our 7-month-old baby and Hanna-Leena was very accommodating with everything (in-cancellation, etc.), which made our trip very successful! The glassed-in balcony was perfect for naps and our sweetheart enjoys bathing so the tub was a bonus. The location by the river was perfect considering all the activities we wanted to do.

This really was one of the best Airbnb stays we have ever had. Pentti was really friendly and helped us a lot too. He told me many things about Lapland, Finland and his special work. It made the house feel like our home. Highly recommended. I’m sure you all will like it.
