House vacation rentals in Pavones

Nadiah’s place looks amazing in photos but in real life it’s something else! The view is absolutely breathtaking. Property itself is thoughtfully designed, modern and airy, and comes furnished with everything you might need for your stay. We will absolutely be back here. Pool deck is the real star of the show with a nice sized pool overlooking the ocean and providing the most beautiful sunsets. Location is very private and absolutely worth the drive up. Be advised you will need a real 4x4 to get up comfortably. We rented a Land Cruiser and never had any issues on the road up. Pavones in general is my new favorite place in Costa Rica. People are friendly and living the Pura Vida! This place is free from major hotels and resorts, if you’re into supporting the local businesses like we are, you will enjoy it. We went surfing with Coco who runs a company called Cocodrone. Highly recommend him for your surfing lessons.

We enjoyed Rodolfo and Inka very much. In the heat, the communal pool was an absolute highlight. Rudolfo always answered all our questions and was a very courteous host. If you are looking for absolute peace, however, you may be bothered by the quite noisy neighborhood. But it was absolutely okay for us and we would come back any time.

Our stay at Rey and Stephanie’s (hosted by Naomi) was fantastic. We so enjoyed all the incredible wildlife visiting the property each morning- Iguanas, Tucans, squirrel monkeys etc. The house is very comfortable for a group of 6 with all the amenities in the kitchen and house that you could need. The pool is perfect and the outdoor shower is a beautiful touch. Naomi took us on an awesome tubing tour down rio claro and also provides many options for activities in Pavones, which is handy. Rey was an incredibly helpful host and really took care of us and made us feel at home on his property. Thanks for everything and we hope to be back soon!

Perfect jungle retreat. Adorable cabinas. Amazing pool. All in the heart of the most beautiful jungle. Minutes to some of the best surfing in the world. You can't go wrong with this place.

This casita was the perfect spot to relax and unwind! The pool was awesome, gorgeous views and incredible star gazing (and thunderstorms!). Great recommendations by Rolando for the nearby beach 🏖️ that was splendid and with parrots 🦜 and scarlet macaws. A great spot, highly recommend.

I honestly have this on my top of spots in CR when I really need to relax and chill. Although, location is far away from the GAM is totally worthy to go there and disconnect! You will be surrounded by nature, 10 min away from where you can find all you need. Also, Ideal if you are planning to visit Corcovado. The place is amazing! Only consideration is that there is not laundry at the house but you can do it in town. Carlos and Marcela are super hosts! They care about you, and you can feel it! They will help you with anything you need, from basic things at the house up to book tours and suggestions of things to do!

We enjoyed our stay. It was a great setup for our visit and we look forward to using this location again!

This is our second time staying at the home. It’s absolutely incredible. The beach is never crowded and right at your doorstep. There’s so much to do from snorkeling to fishing to surfing to hiking. Or you can just lounge and do absolutely nothing, surrounded by the beauty of the jungle. It’s everything you could ask for in a jungle setting. Chicky the caretaker is great, very responsive & super friendly. We will be back again.

Elise’s home was lovely and new! You can tell she cares a lot about her home and her guests in both her kind responses and by the little things - filtered water, plenty of hooks to hang items, fully stocked kitchen , even spices! She and her property manager Meredith were so helpful and generous, they responded timely whenever we had any questions. It’s close to the beach and I will definitely try to stay here every time we visit Pavones!

The house is very well located with respect to the center of the town and also very close to the main surf spot in Pavones. The hosts are very friendly people and the house has everything one needs. The neighborhood is super quiet.

We we’re with 6 and a kid and it was a nice stay and her mom was super friendly and helping us. We had a lovely stay.

Our family had a great stay in Pavones. The location is walking distance to the point and it’s tucked away in the wilderness. Squirrel monkeys came to visit in the morning and the 3ft x 10ft wide mini ramp is a bonus.

Ruth and Michael's place is not just great, practical and clean, they did everything and now to make us feel at home. Osa is such a great place with so much to do and this house is ideally located to explore all of it. We really hope to be back!

House is in a great location. Just a short walk from the beach and easy access to the main peak. Very traditional tico style house.

We really enjoyed the days at Keyla's. The place is absolutely perfect for a stay in Puerto Jiménez. Somewhat off the main road and within walking distance to all the important places and restaurants. The washing machine in the accommodation is a blessing, especially after a trip to the Corcovado NP. Thank You!

Incredible house- amazing for a family or group of friends bc so much space and beautiful rooms with wonderful open big kitchen into patio space surrounded by vibrant nature with animals passing through - the house location is amazing because you walk out with hiking trail as your backyard that guide you to numerous beaches - loved the hammocks upstairs and sitting spaces - beds were comfortable and clean - no AC so I will say it was a little hot but there were fans by the bes for nigh-there is the housekeeper nearby who was ready quick for check in and also there for anything else-will definitely be coming back to matapalo and staying again. Be sure to bring food because the closest market for things is about 40 minutes away

The perfect house for surfing !

We stayed at the house at the top of the property. It is a beautiful house. It was very clean the only downside was the musty smell, especially in the kitchen. The bed is comfortable. We stayed for 4 nights and stayed at the house for two days chilling and enjoying the pool. We saw some monkeys and a few toucans. And the views are just breathtaking. It could only have been better if the internet had been faster. What was amazing was the speedy response after issues with the power and the internet – in a few minutes the power was back on and Richie sent a guy to fix the internet. We would definitely rent again if in the area. P.S.: in my opinion a 4x4 is a must not just a recommendation.

We only stayed for one night since we were there for the tour in Corcovado. However the place had everything we needed and was a comfortable.

If you want to be immersed in nature, in a beautiful setting, enjoying the sound of the ocean and watching the monkeys then this is the place for you. The architecture of the home is stunning. The home is all open, no screens or doors. The netting over the beds were greatly appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. Joel, the property manager was excellent. Communication with Joel was very good, he was friendly and was able to make recommendations for us. Joel took us to the waterfall that was a 20 minute walk from the property. We were there during the rainy season, which we were prepared for; we brought games, books and flashlights. We will definitely return!
