Vacation rentals with a kayak in Pamlico Sound

I have one word for this place and it is AMAZING! Everything you see in the pictures is exactly how it is in real life. The view was unbeatable and all of the amenities were top notch. My family and I made so many beautiful memories during our stay. We loved her house so much I extended our trip a day just so we could stay for longer and Elizabeth had no issue letting me stay another night. I truly couldn’t have picked a better place for our vacation this year. No complaints! 10 out of 10! You will NOT regret booking with Elizabeth and staying in her wonderful home!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay here!! This has been our favourite Airbnb to have stayed in thus far. The privacy & the views have been unmatched. We had an incredible time relaxing as a family & look forward to staying here again in the future. We absolutely LOVED our time here & wish we could’ve stayed longer.

The Bruce’s Retreat was the perfect location and the absolute best sunsets in the OBX! There were kayaks available, a cooler and beach chairs that made us feel right at home. The home was comfortable and close to all the restaurants and shopping. You can fish right off of their dock, but if you want to get into the bigger fish, it’s just a short drive away. It worked out perfect for me, as the fish I caught at the home dock, I used to catch my biggest Red Drum (34”) on the surf! Karin was a great host, and was a quick responder when we reached out. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay again when we visit.

Loved the house on the water. Waking up and walking out and watching the sunrise was awesome. The sunset was just as nice but a little obstructed by trees. The house was fantastic. 3 beds and two full bath made it very easy for us to stay. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you needed to cook anything at home! Pet friendly and my dogs loved the covered porch looking over the water! Ac and heat worked great and was very comfortable. I would go back.

The house was beautiful and everything was perfect. Isaac was very responsive and helpful. Having access to the backyard to take our dogs out was so convenient. We would absolutely stay here again!

The house was clean and spacious and the views were calming. The living room was really a place for gathering friends and watching the final four on the lovely sectional couch and giant loveseat chair. We ate our dinner around the dining table with plenty of room. The beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of room in each bedroom for our belongings. We walked to the beach and took the golf cart to the beach as well. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. The only downside was there was not enough seats on the outside decks where we spent most of our time. There were only two chairs and a love seat. We would stay again!

Like the description, it is a peaceful paradise! Outside has beautiful sunrise, and amazing open water views. We took great photos just form the front yard. Inside has artistic decorations. It is truly a unique property. The three-night stay is just too short for us to enjoy all the amenities and to have enough time to talk with Alan and Nora. Will come back again!

The entire property is beautiful and there is plenty to see and do! The private beach and dock access were the highlight of the stay and we utilized it at every opportunity. Such a unique experience just 10 minutes from downtown New Bern!

It is not Roberta and Frank's fault, but some road signs are not in place. It took us a while, to drive around and try to figure out where we were, on our way to Lauren Lane from US 17. The area is quite beautiful, peaceful, and a sanctuary for wildlife - just what we like. We also like seeing the surrounding farmland. While the cottage is great, there is one negative. Since there are no bedroom walls, all the interior light is all around inside, like a motel room. All the electronics and appliances have very bright lights, which shine around the room at night.

This was our second stay at Chris's waterfront cottage. We were lucky enough to be here during the local Christmas holiday festivities in Oriental. Chris's place was so peaceful and serene. We can't wait to stay again!

Melissa’s house on the Chowan River was perfect! A beautiful view, peaceful area, kind hosts. We will definitely be back!

Easy Breeze is a wonderful place to stay. Alex has made sure that even the smallest detail has been taken to make your stay exactly what you are looking for. This is our 2nd visit and while we were there, we booked our next vacation for a week in October! It's perfect if you want peace, quiet, fishing, kayaking, and many other water sports. Great location just far enough from noise of downtown but still a good walk. Nice back porch for sun and front for shade and people watching. Plenty of bikes to choose from. Good separation of space with two bedrooms on each side of house. Nice extra den area with additional tv to spread out. Issue with plumbing was addressed quickly by Jessica. Have stayed in numerous Airbnbs in Beaufort and this is at the top of the list.

From beginning to end this cottage is off the charts. Cute, unique, functiinal, confortable, well organized, thoroughly supplied and the location is private and beautiful.

We totally understand and agree with Tanya being listed as a Super Host with 5+Stars! From making the reservation until checkout, Tanya made certain that we had absolutely everything we could possibly need for our stay, from extra toiletries, beach towels, sunscreen and even a sewing kit! She is responsive to messages, provides tips and suggestions on trips, places to visit and local restaurants! The house is pristine yet feels like home! We will definitely be making many more trips and this will be our “ home away from home!”

Longacres is a special place. It’s definitely rustic and my teenagers weren’t excited at first. But when it was time to go home, they didn’t want to leave. The outdoor shower and sleeping porch are amazing. My husband and I used them in all weather from the 70s to the 40s. The electric blanket kept us cozy on even the coldest nights. Staying at Longacres felt like glamping. You might have to deal with a few wasps or spiders, or you might run into some cobwebs. But the birds singing you awake every morning, the sun shining in through the tree, the wind whispering in the pines, and the blue sky over head during a shower make those bugs and cobwebs totally worth it! The location was a great jumping off point for all OBX adventures. Anne was a responsive host and quickly dealt with a minor issue we had. I hope we get to come back again sometime!

Our 3-night stay at Legacy Lodge Bunkhouse in Windsor, NC, was a delightful escape to celebrate my wife’s and son’s birthdays. The bunkhouse kept our two kids entertained with games, toys, an air hockey table, and bunk beds our son adored. Outside, a mini paradise awaited: multiple fire pits (unlimited wood for $30, highly recommended), play areas, and a covered concrete space perfect for rollerblading and scootering. We enjoyed the wood-fired pizza oven and grilled steaks, though the propane grill needs a deep clean. The thoughtful birthday gifts and decorations for our son, plus a “Honk, it’s my birthday!” sign by host Deena (explaining the passing cars’ honks), added such a warm touch. This peaceful retreat is ideal for families or anyone seeking serenity. We’d absolutely recommend it!

10/10! I enjoyed my stay so much I've already booked another stay there! The home was very clean as was evident by the prevalent smell of air freshener and fresh-smelling cleaning products. I have a very sensitive nose, so for me it was a bit much, but the issue was quickly and easily resolved by letting in the fresh ocean air. The home was extremely well-stocked and the bed was very comfy. The host was responsive and friendly, and the location is perfect -- very idyllic and peaceful.

The place itself was beautiful in a nice community with boats parked right outside. There is a community restaurant, and stores in the facility but outside everything is a bit far away. Would come back when it’s warmer to be able to go to the beach and other activities offered. There are other locations offered through their website.. look forward to coming back in the future.
