Beach house vacation rentals in Palermo

We just loved this place! Valeria and her father Aldo were delightful hosts, always at the ready to help with whatever we needed. The apartment is the entire second floor (American) of a large, elegant house facing the public part of the beach at Mondello--which meant that we simply walked out the door and into the ocean, bringing only our keys and towels. The cheerful sounds of the beach float up to the balcony, where we spent many hours watching the world go by. Yet it was peaceful and quiet at night because the street between the house and beach is entirely closed to car traffic June 3 to September 30. Tons of restaurants nearby, and a 20-25 minute drive to the centers of Palermo and to Monreale. After exploring each day we came home to evening swims. Note: this is a home with personality where a family was raised, not a sterile condo. We loved its homey vibe, lived-in quality, and generous space. Beds, AC, showers, kitchen were all clean and functioned well. Hope to be back soon!

The family were warm and welcoming. Everything needed was provided including beach chairs and towels. Beach toys for children were also provided. There were supplies in the kitchen. And Paulo or Stefano were available to answer questions when needed. Would highly recommend this place for anyone going to Mondello

Perfect home, perfect location and perfect hosts. Deserves more than a five. The appartement is on the small side but the rooftop patio more than compensates for it. We had breakfast and dinner on the rooftop every day. The home is well decorated and has everything, and more, than you could ask for. Great parking spot right on the property. The location is the best; 5 min walk from the beach, in walking distance from bakery, grocery store and local restos. Fresh pasteries every day from the bakery down the road. Getting to Palermo is extremely easy; take bus 806 across the street, get off at Piazzo Crispi (takes 20 min) and then walk to the historic center (takes 10 minutes). Take the same bus back to Mondello. The hosts are extremely helpful, friendly and make you feel welcome from the get go. This is the place to stay when spending time in Mondello!

Alessandro's place was amazing! He was a brilliant, responsive host who was attentive and caring. He was very flexible, even with our check-in that was later than expected due to a delayed flight, and gave us a tour of the home as soon as we arrived. He also gave us lots of recommendations and an overview of the local area before we arrived. Not only was he attentive, but he also gave us lots of advice - he even went out of his way by giving us a lift to a car rental place completely free of charge. The check out process was extremely relaxed, and there was brilliant communication. Overall, the host Alessandro was lovely, going above and beyond, as well as the villa being absolutely beautiful. There was a gate which allowed us to put our car there safely, there was cooking facilities, an outdoor space which was so lovely to spend time in, as well as a washing machine available. The outdoor shower was also a great bonus, which we loved using! I would definitely recommend.

Everything was as it says on the description. Valeria was an exceptional host and couldn’t have done any more to help with any queries I had. She was never too far away and always contactable by mobile phone. She also made some superb recommendations of places to visit during my stay 😊👍

My boyfriend and I had a super vacation at this home! Cozy place and the small terrace were lovely and with beautiful views of the mountain and sea. There was a bit of loud music by the pool during the day which was a bit disturbing, but the beach is close and was lovely as a change. Ernesto is super sweet and helpful and picked us up and took us to and from the airport. In addition, he made recommendations for great experiences in Palermo city center - it's easy to get in there by bus from Mondello and we especially enjoyed it at night when the weather was “cool enough” to experience things; -) We were overall very satisfied! Highly recommended 🤗

A tranquil oasis of a place set in beautiful gardens, a fantastic pool and with very welcoming and generous hosts. We, a family of 4, spent 5 nights here in July and had a wonderful time. Shops and restaurants are within walking distance but having a car in the July heat made everything a good bit more comfortable. Highly recommend.

We were a family of seven, grandparents, parents, three very active boys (ages 6-12). The owner and his wife were gracious hosts, greeting us with Easter time treats. The house and gardens are even more impressive than the description. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchens were well-equipped. We had a mishap and the host generously helped to solve it. You must have a car. The host can recommend excellent beaches and fun things to do We would love to return.

Nuccia was a wonderful host. The house is near the airport and has amazing lemon trees in the garden. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful, amazing stay! We started off our trip in Catania area and finished it here. It’s only a couple min ride from the airport which was great for us since we flew out of Palermo. The home looked just like the photos. In fact, the yard/pool even looked bigger in real life. We couldn’t use the pool because it rained a bit during our stay, but it was super clean/we still had a blast and enjoyed sitting outside when it stopped raining. We traveled with 4 young children and they absolutely loved the play area on the lawn. That was such a nice added bonus. Home was spotless and had enough space to fit our group of 12. PLENTY of extra blankets and linen. Each room had AC which was nice too. Host was very responsive and great at communicating! We didn’t have any issues finding the home and we were greeted upon arrival with some yummy pies and snacks. So grateful we found this gem.

We were in the villa as a girls' group and immediately felt at home. We had a very nice time.

Incredible hostess and home! The home is so much better than the pictures, if that is even possible. It was a true pleasure to stay at the home and I would absolutely rent again!

Erasmo's apartment is very modern and completely newly renovated and furnished. It has beautiful furniture: comfortable sofa and beds, large dining table, chests of drawers, etc. The kitchen is relatively small but also very nice and very usable with a dishwasher, oven and large fridge! There are 3 balconies, great for drying laundry, but almost too small for eating. For a morning coffee with great sea and mountain views but very nice. We felt very comfortable, also because Erasmo was very nice in communication!

We had a great short stay at this air bnb! We were only staying the day before we flew back home however I would recommend staying a little longer as the location is so beautiful with loads of restaurants and lovely beaches nearby. Vincenzo was extremely responsive and helpful even giving us a lift from the train station. The apartment also stays nice and cool despite the heat outside. Lovely air bnb!

Great apartment and host. The apartment is clean , spacious and with a great outside space . Location is perfect , 5 mins walk to the beach and cafes and restaurants . Highly recommend and we will stay here again!

The stay with Dario, was our last apartment in Sicily. The location is perfect to visit Palermo, Monreale and Mondello beach. The apartment is new and wonderfully large. There were two of us, but there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms so very suitable for four people. In addition to the apartment being beautiful, the most important thing to say is: the tremendous hospitality of Dario and his wife. Upon arrival, there were brioche ready for us, halfway through we got a nice wine from the region and at our farewell delicious sandwiches for breakfast….. and it's not even about what we got, it's much more about the kindness and the willingness to help, give tips and advice. Dario was WONDERFUL and felt familiar like we were friends. I can write much more beautiful and good, e.g. about how neat and clean and new it was... but I would say: experience it for yourself. The stay at Marias apartment was very good and we immediatly felt at home :) Also we were picked up at the train station and Anna showed us around in Porticello, thanks for that :) You´re living in in middle of Porticello where everthing that you need is really close, supermarket 5 min. / Pizza and other restaurants 1-5 min. / Beach 5 min... Also there are activities quite close to the house, for example: Archological Museum / Ruins 25 min. / Lighthouse 45 min. / Trainstation 20 min. Like other people in reviews mentioned, the pictures of the apartment are a bit misleading, since you´re not directly at the beach but a small walk apart from it. The pictures of the interior on the other hand are accurate and everyhing that you need is there. The only "negatives" we could mention are that the house is a bit dark and also its sometimes little loud (so if you´re maye sensible in that regard better bring earplugs / sleeping Mask etc.) We can highly recommend staying at Marias apartment :)

A great place to stay. In easy walking distance to the centre with lots of great restaurants. The apartment has everything you need for a home from home feel. Super comfy beds, good AC, super fast internet and a lovely terrace on the top floor and a small balcony to the main bedroom. Tastefully decorated, with added touches from a great host. The host Serena was very proactive and she offered great suggestions of places to eat. A small supermarket is 1 minutes walk away, as was a great little bakery. The large supermarket was a 5 minutes drive. Ample parking on the street right outside of the apartment, in a quiet area surrounded by local people. I can highly recommend this Airbnb.
