Beach house vacation rentals in Palermo

We just loved this place! Valeria and her father Aldo were delightful hosts, always at the ready to help with whatever we needed. The apartment is the entire second floor (American) of a large, elegant house facing the public part of the beach at Mondello--which meant that we simply walked out the door and into the ocean, bringing only our keys and towels. The cheerful sounds of the beach float up to the balcony, where we spent many hours watching the world go by. Yet it was peaceful and quiet at night because the street between the house and beach is entirely closed to car traffic June 3 to September 30. Tons of restaurants nearby, and a 20-25 minute drive to the centers of Palermo and to Monreale. After exploring each day we came home to evening swims. Note: this is a home with personality where a family was raised, not a sterile condo. We loved its homey vibe, lived-in quality, and generous space. Beds, AC, showers, kitchen were all clean and functioned well. Hope to be back soon!

Margherita met us at the apartment & was kind enough to check us in early. The apartment is in a great location close to the water & restaurants. She also arranged to pick us up & drive to the airport early in the morning.

We had a wonderful stay here! One of the best Airbnbs I’ve ever stayed in. The host was incredible and very attentive, the location was perfect, the house was adorable, and the kitchen was full of everything we needed (oil, salt, pepper, the basics). If I could give this place 6 stars, I would!

Thank you for this beautiful environment with houses (including yours) art deco type planted in the middle of lush and tropical vegetation. The sea is a stone's throw away (beautiful Mondello beach), and Palermo and its historic center are 15/20 minutes by bus.

We had a wonderful stay at Alessandro’s place. Definitely need a car, but it was a great home base for touring there area. House was very clean and a good size for our family of 5. We loved the garden area! There is not much to do in the immediate area, but a 15-30 min drive can offer all you need. My only critique is the pillows were not comfortable.

The stay was very pleasant and highly recommend. We had everything we needed there. He was so kind to provide things like coffee, Nutella, etc. Armando was very kind. We had our privacy and were able to enjoy the holiday very much. Thank you and wish you all the best .

Valeria was the perfect host! Extremely personable; really kind and helpful. She was very prompt to respond to all requests and always accommodating, organising taxis for my pickup /drop to airport and for sightseeing to Monreale. The villa was beautiful and very comfortable; I slept so well, esp with the black out shutters. The villa is perfectly positioned for the restaurants, minimart and beach just across the road. Unexpected extra was learning more about the history of the villa and the family and meeting her lovely Dad! Highly recommended.

The stay at Marias apartment was very good and we immediatly felt at home :) Also we were picked up at the train station and Anna showed us around in Porticello, thanks for that :) You´re living in in middle of Porticello where everthing that you need is really close, supermarket 5 min. / Pizza and other restaurants 1-5 min. / Beach 5 min... Also there are activities quite close to the house, for example: Archological Museum / Ruins 25 min. / Lighthouse 45 min. / Trainstation 20 min. Like other people in reviews mentioned, the pictures of the apartment are a bit misleading, since you´re not directly at the beach but a small walk apart from it. The pictures of the interior on the other hand are accurate and everyhing that you need is there. The only "negatives" we could mention are that the house is a bit dark and also its sometimes little loud (so if you´re maye sensible in that regard better bring earplugs / sleeping Mask etc.) We can highly recommend staying at Marias apartment :)

The place is as described. It is very clean and well equipped. All equipment/furnishings are functional. Check-in is impeccable. All questions will be answered in no time. Two minor criticisms are still worth mentioning. On the one hand, you are constantly sounded by the dogs from the neighborhood. On the other hand, the place is a bit remote from cafes or restaurants. The stand is within walking distance, but nothing was open nearby. However, this may be related to our time of travel, which was in early October. All in all, it was still a very successful excursion.

We were a family of seven, grandparents, parents, three very active boys (ages 6-12). The owner and his wife were gracious hosts, greeting us with Easter time treats. The house and gardens are even more impressive than the description. Our beds were comfortable. The kitchens were well-equipped. We had a mishap and the host generously helped to solve it. You must have a car. The host can recommend excellent beaches and fun things to do We would love to return.

Nuccia was a wonderful host. The house is near the airport and has amazing lemon trees in the garden. Highly recommend.

We had a beautiful, amazing stay! We started off our trip in Catania area and finished it here. It’s only a couple min ride from the airport which was great for us since we flew out of Palermo. The home looked just like the photos. In fact, the yard/pool even looked bigger in real life. We couldn’t use the pool because it rained a bit during our stay, but it was super clean/we still had a blast and enjoyed sitting outside when it stopped raining. We traveled with 4 young children and they absolutely loved the play area on the lawn. That was such a nice added bonus. Home was spotless and had enough space to fit our group of 12. PLENTY of extra blankets and linen. Each room had AC which was nice too. Host was very responsive and great at communicating! We didn’t have any issues finding the home and we were greeted upon arrival with some yummy pies and snacks. So grateful we found this gem.

Super kind and nice people. We arrived with public transportation, and they were so kind to pick us up at the train station, and leave us there again on the day of departure. The pool area was super. We only shared it with one other apartment, so plenty of room for all. We are a family of 5, kids aged 7, 11 and 13, and with a nice fishing village, lots of restaurants and beaches within 30 minutes walk, it was an ideal stay for us.

We were in the villa as a girls' group and immediately felt at home. We had a very nice time.

Erasmo's apartment is very modern and completely newly renovated and furnished. It has beautiful furniture: comfortable sofa and beds, large dining table, chests of drawers, etc. The kitchen is relatively small but also very nice and very usable with a dishwasher, oven and large fridge! There are 3 balconies, great for drying laundry, but almost too small for eating. For a morning coffee with great sea and mountain views but very nice. We felt very comfortable, also because Erasmo was very nice in communication!

Quite simply put, la casa di Gioia is a paradise - the best airbnb experience I have ever had. Agata is an exceptional and caring host. The appartment is beyond cozy, a place where I would love to live. I slept really well there, and am already missing the place. This is a 100% recommendation from a picky person who has high standards. Thank you Agata for everything once again!

Fantastic hosts both Vinchenzo and Francesca were responsive and helpful. vinchenzo came to pick us up at the airport and Francesca was alway quick to reply when we had any questions. They also left us some great snack.. 100% recommend Beautiful little place to stay ☺️ great location and easy access to restaurants and the beach.

The stay with Dario, was our last apartment in Sicily. The location is perfect to visit Palermo, Monreale and Mondello beach. The apartment is new and wonderfully large. There were two of us, but there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms so very suitable for four people. In addition to the apartment being beautiful, the most important thing to say is: the tremendous hospitality of Dario and his wife. Upon arrival, there were brioche ready for us, halfway through we got a nice wine from the region and at our farewell delicious sandwiches for breakfast….. and it's not even about what we got, it's much more about the kindness and the willingness to help, give tips and advice. Dario was WONDERFUL and felt familiar like we were friends. I can write much more beautiful and good, e.g. about how neat and clean and new it was... but I would say: experience it for yourself. very nice place to stay in mondello. everything was perfect. the only problem we had was weak reception of wifi in the bedroom but we had 20gb mobile data so it was not a problem we couldn't cope with it

A wonderful host in Sicily!!!! Our stay at the apartment was just fantastic. Nino and his wife are incredibly friendly, warm and always available. Even before arrival, there was helpful information and the reception on site was very warm. The apartment was sparkling clean, tastefully furnished and equipped with everything you need - you immediately notice that the hosts put a lot of love into it. Work on details. Especially nice were the local tips on restaurants and attractions in the area, which made our stay unforgettable. Grazie mille - we'd love to come back and highly recommend this place. P.S.: 5 stars are actually far too few!!!
