Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Pajaro Dunes

I stayed here with my wife and son and it was the perfect place. Had a nice little backyard and enough space for the kiddo to roam around. Super comfortable and felt like home away from home. Love how close it is to the Henry Cowell redwoods state park. Kathleen was an excellent host. Would definitely stay here again. 😊

Karin's place has a beautiful view, nice hot tub and outdoor shower area to use, and is a well stocked kitchen with everything you'd possibly need. We appreciated the location being between Carmel and Big Sur which allowed us to explore in both directions. My only complaint is that it is a very expensive stay - we paid $680/night for a shared space with owners on the same property and the many reminders about taking out the trash, not overusing electricity, and no shoes in the house. We are always respectful and treat everyone's place as we would our own - but felt like for the price point of what we paid, we shouldn't be asked to take the trash out, etc. Feels like for that price-point these things should all be included so we can relax without feeling like we needed to be mindful of every little detail. Again, great place, but it was definitely a big splurge for us!

Place was great--fit our needs perfectly. Recommend opening windows at night to bring in that beautiful fresh air. Our 4.5 yo was absolutely over the moon by all the activities outside in the yard-- very well equipped area for adults and kids alike! The sand toys were also a hit--we loved walking to the beach and appreciated how well written the instructions were. Just took a photo of them and went on our way. Only bummer is the lack of sidewalks in Aptos, but most cars do seem to watch for walkers. Marianne's ice cream is great, and tamales across the street also fantastic. Weather cooperated and the easy access to Santa Cruz and Monterey made this location ideal. Colm was a great host--responded immediately to any questions I had. Very thankful for this spring break trip--we truly feel rejuvenated!

We had a great time in Carmel at Bobby’s house. The location was easy to get into town but also easy for driving around the surrounding areas. The space itself was really nice - so clean and well maintained and updated. It had everything we needed!

First off the photos don’t do this house justice. The spaces, including that wonderful balcony, are bigger than you think. We had 7 adults, a toddler & an infant and we didn’t feel cramped at all. The beds, linens and pillows were so comfy, the multitude of windows to let the ocean air breeze come through, along with fans in the bedrooms, were perfect. The kitchen was the most well equipped I’ve used in an Airbnb before. The wagon, chairs and beach towels were also so nice to have for the short one block walk to Black Beach (one of my favorites in Santa Cruz). Oh and do not let the 1 full bathroom for everyone scare you off. Having the 2 half baths made it all work and we never had an issue. My family LOVED this place and wants to come back so very much. We have spent 26 years coming to Santa Cruz almost annually and this was our best residential experience yet. Thank you to Kim and her Rental Mgr, Nancy, for taking care of us and communicating so well. This family highly recommends!

The spot really exceeded expectations for us. being walkable, having amazing views along with a very comfortable and clean space made it a win for us!

Lori's place was perfect for a large group of people to both enjoy each other's company in the large living/dining/deck areas, while having privacy for sleeping. It's two stories with lots of space inside and outside with a third story outside crow's nest deck as well. The hot tub was a bonus! The beach access was incredible and the best thing about the location. It's just a 2 min. walk away! The neighborhood is tranquil. Lori was easy and great to work with as well! What a special time!

Great place to stay with kids (even though there is a stairway, so you may have to keep an eye on that). Place is great and has the right amount of things for kids to play with (sometimes it might be too much so kids can create a mess, but it's not the case here. Def place to consider for staying again.

This is a clean and beautiful place to stay! Very baby friendly! We didn’t realize that there is another unit above the Airbnb - you can hear footsteps occasionally.

Such a lovely stay, my partner and I had a very relaxing weekend at Susanne’s. We got to enjoy everything around us the beach in Carmel was beautiful!! We also enjoyed having breakfast in the morning with a beautiful view. Thank you Susanne for letting us stay in your beautiful studio.

My husband and I loved staying at this Carmel cottage. It was comfortable and cozy. The bed is very comfortable and the water is hot. The fireplace is wonderful and easy to use. There is a convenient unit for heating and cooling the space. The kitchen was great and we saved money by buying groceries at Trader Joes and cooking. The gardening around the cottage is lovely and there is a nice patio space out back. Very easy access off highway 1. Truly a charming place and I'm very glad we chose it as a basecamp for going to big sur and other places in the area.

Maria Elena's studio apartment is perfect for two people. It is roomy and completely updated. The king size bed is comfortable and the mini-split heat/air conditioner is perfect for the changes in weather in San Jose. The neighborhood is peaceful, safe and walkable to a local grocery, coffee and restaurants. I recommend Maria Elena's apartment and will stay there again on my next trip to San Jose.

Had a great experience since no pets are allowed. We have allergies so this worked out for us wonderfully. The location was central, which made it easy to get around Santa Cruz and surrounding areas. Despite being central, the neighborhood and home was nice and quiet. The kitchen was well equipped, even though we only used it for breakfast since we were out most of the time. Place was super clean.

We had a wonderful stay at Jane’s beautiful oceanfront home! The views from the patio, and living room were absolutely stunning—we even spotted seal pups right from the patio. The location is perfect: easy walking distance to the aquarium, Cannery Row, the beach, and a scenic walking/bike path. The home was spotless and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed—laundry soap, extra towels, high-quality bedding, and comfortable, homey furniture. Jane made the check-in process seamless with clear instructions and even left us a list of local recommendations and binoculars to enjoy the views. Although Jane lives upstairs, the unit feels very private. She was responsive and welcoming, while giving us plenty of space. This was one of the most comfortable and well-prepared rentals we’ve stayed in. Highly recommend!

Barnaby‘s place was the perfect getaway for us to celebrate our anniversary. Proximity and walk ability to everything in addition to a very clean comfortable and well appointed spot. Great communication with Barnaby with quick responses. This would be a great rental in conjunction with the office next door for a big group.

The home was clean and very spacious. I was concerned about the cold weather but the house was so cozy. The pool was so close to us and very clean. The hot tub was wonderful. I loved that the home was so close to the water and we could hear the waves crashing. Everything about the home was amazing.

Although our trip was a short weekend trip, Nick’s place suited all our needs and had a lot to space to accommodate our party. If we return to that area in the future, we would definitely book again. Thank you.

A minor issue with our original reservation was quickly resolved by the PowerWest Team. They responded immediately and went above and beyond to make sure we were well taken care of and had a perfect trip. The unit is a beautiful, well equipped condo with spectacular ocean front views. We've been coming to Seascape for over 20 years now and this was one of the better locations for our family. It had grass access and beautiful ocean views. The kids loved the little seating area. Overall the location and space was everything we needed and more.

Beautiful views! Our family enjoyed our stay and the main floor layout was perfect for our extended family's get together. The pool table, foosball table and games were loved by adults and kids alike. A few family members did get car sick on the way to the house though (not the fault of the house or host by any means), so just be aware that it is a windy road to get up there.

Beautiful home with a great view! Very clean and homey. Matthew is also a great host with clear communication and very helpful instructions pre-check-in. We felt right at home when we arrived. The horses are also very friendly and my son loves petting them. All in all would definitely recommend!

This Hacienda was located on top of the Santa Cruz Mountains and was so majestic, peaceful and breathtaking. The house is welcoming and beautifully decorated. The view was incredible, watching the clouds and marine layer blanket over the trees. Each bedroom had comfy beds. Kitchen stock well with everything you need. Bathrooms clean. Heated floors were a nice touch. Sitting outside on various patio levels was magical. Felt like I was at retreat. Lisa was quick to respond. Our family loved staying here and getting away from city noise and hustle bustle. Thank you Lisa and Chris for sharing your home. This place is a real gem.

Jose and Gabriella’s beautiful home exceeded my already heightened expectations after reading the reviews. The pictures do not capture the thought and care they've poured into their property. The kitchen is the heart of this mountain home. It was clearly designed for function and entertaining, and the panoramic view of coastal redwoods was the perfect backdrop for both. It came comprehensively stocked with every imaginable appliance and gadget, including a refrigerator twice the standard size, two full-sized ovens, and a massive island that can comfortably seat ten people. Jose and Gabriella were the perfect hosts, attentive, genuine and pleasant to interact. Easily one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had. I wish I didn’t have to leave, but I look forward to returning soon.
