Vacation rentals with lake access in Paignton

We enjoyed our stay. The decor and space is fantastic. Fabulous hotel quality towels and lovely bedding. Well equipped kitchen. No welcome extras or local shop, so pick up milk on the way in. We had a Tesco delivery and saw a Morrisons van too. We didn’t use the courtyard, but as described, it is a useful storage space. Personally, I wouldn’t use it as it was down a grubby alley of bins and is dull. Probably better in warmer season though. Torcross is very quiet and tired out of season, but it was a good place from which to explore. We went up and over to the next cove. Sadly, it has had a lot of storm damage and is dangerous. South Devon is full of wonderful beaches though. Hope Cove is gorgeous! Note that there is a small car park immediately outside the front door - convenient for parking (we never had a problem finding a space), but lots of coming and going and care needed with dog/children.

What an absolute treasure of a place. I almost don’t want to review it to keep it a secret just for me for next time. Really gorgeous house, idyllic setting. Everything you could need or want provided in the house. Couldn’t fault it.

Can’t recommend this place enough. Fantastically located in the heart of Bantham village with incredible 180 degrees views of the estuary and Burgh Island. The house is spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of 6 adults and 3 small children. Lisa was a very responsive host and made it all very easy. We would love to visit again!

Incredible views in the most serene setting you could imagine. The location is also perfect, with a lovely pub opposite and Bantham beach just a short walk away. The property was spacious and well equipped. Highly recommended!

We had a lovely peaceful stay in early January. The house is right beside the water with a wonderful view over the river Dart. It was very clean and well equipped. Warmly recommended.

Fantastic place in Kingswear - very tastefully done and perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. Fun and easy to cross over to Dartmouth - you can easily see when the next ferry is on the way and head downstairs to catch it! We’ve stayed in quite a few places in & around Dartmouth and this has been our favourite.

We had a lovely couple of nights in the cottage. There was everything we needed. The kids loved the easy access to the enclosed private garden. Unfortunately we didnt get a chance to explore the grounds but they looked beautiful. We visited a great farm shop 5minutes away Ullacombe Farm shop with a cafe, animals and a play area for the kids. Walkable distance from the university and city center. Quiet location and complete studio apartment. Comfy bed and nice view on beautiful blossoms.

Great property, easy to find and perfect for a 1-2 guests. Jane was friendly and easy to contact. Parking right outside which was a huge plus for us. There was an extra internal door which we assume would link directly to Jane’s property or another airbnb which was locked - this wasn’t listed however, the property still felt secure. Just something for guests to be aware of. Thanks for a great stay - would recommend for anyone wanting to be in close proximity to Newton Abbot.

Staying here was a real delight. Very close to marina, didn't need to get back in the car the whole time we were here. very nicely decorated apartment, very friendly and understanding hosts. can't wait to come again.

We had a lovely stay at Glenn’s apartment, Glenn was extremely helpful, the property was in a perfect location with a beautiful view, looks exactly like the photos if not better! We felt right at home and would definitely stay again. Only thing I would say is there was a strange smell which did not shift, could’ve been a smell from below apartments however lingered throughout our stay and had to open windows. No oil as mentioned on listing either, however, not a problem as there was a convenience store very close by :). Loud family below however this cannot be helped. Great stay overall, and would recommend to others.

Beautiful flat ideally situated on Torquay cliffs - which means a fun 5-minute hike up and down the paths for the beach. The flat is decorated with nautical theme and is super comfortable, quiet, peaceful. We had everything we needed from soaps and dishwasher tabs to towels and gowns. Would stay here again.

We absolutely loved our stay at Cork Tree Cottage - all of us young and old were so comfortable, and had the best few days with great friends! The cottage is perfectly located for amazing walks/runs on dartmour, beach trips, and Bovey Tracey has everything! We loved it and would love to come back! Thank you so much for having us!

We've stayed with Julie last yeat and we were as happy this time as we were the first. Lovely and friendly and showed me the other accommodations she has which were beautiful and very well thought out with everything you could possibly need. We will definitely be going again. I cannot fault this accommodation at all.

Had the best time at Torr Farm, super comfortable accommodation with so many wonderful things to do on the property, just walking around the woodland was gorgeous and the ponds were so peaceful to relax near. The kids loved it so much; the trampoline was a big hit! Would definitely plan to come again, Nicolas was very welcoming and it was a brilliant location with so much to do nearby.

We had a great week staying at Gate House West. Our 2 year old grandson loved it. The indoor pool was the stand out success....simple booking system and everyone stuck to their time slot. Loads of wild life around the estate .... absolutely beautiful.

We had a wonderful long weekend at Karen’s cottage. The location is perfect with lovely walks on your doorstop, excellent pub just along the road and generally great for exploring east Devon. It’s a cosy cottage. Wood burner heats the lounge quickly and our dog loved the heated floor in the kitchen. We loved the hot chocolate station! Highly recommended and look forward to returning.

From the moment we arrived, Rook Cottage exuded a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home – it was the ideal setting for our family holiday. Beyond the charming decor and comfortable furnishings, we were genuinely impressed by how comprehensively stocked the cottage was. The kitchen wasn't just functional; it had every utensil, pot, and pan we could possibly need, making meal preparation a breeze. Little extras throughout the cottage showed real thoughtfulness. The addition of the private pool and games room was a stroke of genius and a real highlight of our stay. It provided a fantastic escape and hours of entertainment, especially appreciated during the inevitable couple of rainy Devon days we encountered during our week. Suzi was the definition of an exceptionally attentive host – friendly, approachable, and full of helpful local knowledge. And we can't forget her delightful dogs, whose friendly greetings were always a welcome sight! Highly recommended!

Just got back from Devon after a wonderful few days at Orchard cottage. First off, Janes is a great host and really responsive and friendly. The property itself is really quite substantial and spacious and the outside space is wonderful. There's a lovely inner garden and beyond that a whole former farm to explore. Great for a morning walk, weather permitting. Inside there are 3 good size bedrooms, two bathrooms as described. Everything is spotless and well thought out and we felt at home right away. The downstairs area again is spacious and there's plenty of seating for larger parties. Location is good for Salcombe, Hope, and Bantham - only a short drive to each. One thing to remember is that the cottage is a little way down a quite narrow lane, although this didn't bother us - our daughter loved driving along under the trees! There's also the tidal road near Aveton Gifford so don't get stuck (near the Oyster Shack - a must if you're in the area). Would love to go back some day!
