Places to stay in Owensville

This place is AH-mazing and we honestly didn't want to leave. So peaceful, out of the city but still so close to all of the wedding events that we were visiting St. James for. LOVED the area, the quiet and everything about the farm style, eclectic house. I want a make-up table now (even though I don't wear much make-up), and I want some COWS, lol! I only rated getting in lower stars because my husband and I are "old" and unfamiliar with how all the different newish keyless entry locks work and that took us a hot minute to get right. 🤦 #wedumb 😂 If we ever need a place in St. James to stay, this will definitely be our first choice!

Our group of 8 had a great stay here! The house is so charming and beautifully decorated, it was very clean, and the beds were SO comfortable. The house is in a great location and the trolley came and picked us up. We would definitely stay here again!

Love this place! This is the second time we've had a privilege to stay there, super conveniently located right behind the winery! Perfectly cleaned!

I absolutely can not say enough about the service I received. My needs were met when things came up. Loni was very friendly and helpful. The house is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. I was able to rest so well that I found myself ready to work again before I had planned to. I intend to stay here again when I’m traveling through Missouri and when I’m here visiting family.

This is our second stay with Michele. Love this cute place and all of the things she provides (from toothbrushes and toothpaste to plenty of coffee pods). What was most special about this stay was it was the weekend that the tornado hit Rolla. The storms were predicted so, even before arrival, Michelle reached out and let us know a good place to hide out during storm and the keypad information so we could hide out while it passed. Super thoughtful!!

The Black Magnolia was a great place to stay! It was walking distance to bars, restaurants, and trolley. The place was adorable with very nice decor. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend! I also have to add the snacks, water in fridge, coffee, creamer, stuff to make s’mores….everything supplied for outdoor fire pit to bathroom supplies added a special touch to our stay!! Just book it for your visit to Herman!!

This Airbnb was fantastic! The location was ideal, and the place was incredibly cozy. Almost everything we needed was provided. My only suggestion is to purchase a hot cooking burner for the kitchen. Since there was a kitchenette in photos, we assumed there was an oven, so we packed food. I should have thoroughly reviewed the pictures and listing before our arrival. I believe adding this could significantly enhance the Airbnb’s value, as the dining options in the town are often limited. Overall we had a great time and really enjoyed our weekend stay!

I chose to stay here due to the location, and the amount of room for our group. I don't think I could have found a better location. Eden House is 15 minutes from Fort Leonard Wood, and 15-20 from other shopping/dining areas. The house has plenty of room for everyone to spread out, and there is a very nice big yard. When traveling, I always judge a place on the hot water, can I cook a full meal for my entire family (there are 7 of us!), and can we have a little space when a teenager has attitude? This place fit the bill!! There are 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms. There is a living room upstairs and another small living room downstairs. The water was hot!! Thank you! No one ran out of hot water. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to cook our meals (food not included). The back patio was fun to just sit and watch the animals, the kids all had a bench press contest in the weight room, and my husband was able to take a run each day. We would stay again!

This was the third time we stayed there while in Herman, the place has been great every single time
