The Snug, boutique lodge in Northumberland

LeeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The snug was exactly as described! Wonderful base for exploring around Otterburn. The cabin had all the amenities we needed for cooking and relaxing on a night and the hot tub was lovely to wind down in on an evening. The area itself is quiet and set back with plenty of birds and wildlife. Sara was always responsive and helpful and I think the pricing was excellent compared to alternatives! We would definitely stay again next time we are in the area 😌

Immaculate property. Lovely big kitchen/ dining / living area, with an additional living room- well equipped with beautiful old books and lots of games. Gorgeous garden, very private, and amazing views. Extremely comfortable beds and lovely linen and towels. Very clean and tidy. Everything we wanted and more. We were a group of 8 ladies on a walking / yoga weekend- and we loved everything. We can’t wait to return.

Northern Hideaways, Sunnyside

JohnRating, 5 stars1 month ago
I knew from the photos on AirBnB that we’d be in for a bit of a treat, but this property exceeded expectations on many levels. On arrival, everything was spotlessly clean, and we had everything that we could need for our holiday. The house itself is beautifully decorated, and we appreciated what appeared to be traditional features, such as original doors and wood flooring, with lots of tasteful modern touches. The bedrooms are spacious, bright and airy, all with clean linen and comfortable beds. We really slept well. The kitchen is a terrific size with all the appliances you’d need and the inclusion of cooking basics, plus things like tea and coffee were welcome. The location too is superb – Otterburn is a lovely village, well situated access to loads of areas of interest, but the views from the house are great too. Every morning, whilst preparing breakfast, I could look straight out onto fields with sheep and lambs. Really lovely, peaceful, setting. Highly recommended.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Northumberland

ElizabethRating, 5 stars2 days ago
A real castle farm cottage, set amongst farms and rolling countryside. With two-foot thick walls, 4 to 5m high ceilings, it is so peaceful we couldn’t hear anything but birdsong. There are house martins nesting in the eaves of the hosts’ cottage next door. It is a beautifully converted barn – everything is immaculate including ceramic floors and underfloor heating. The garden is magical - in June it was full of flowers. The hosts Tracy and Roland are very kind and welcoming.

Oak Tree Cottage

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. We attended a wedding at Le Petit Chateau and the cottage was only a minutes walk across the road. The cottage was spotless and well-equipped. We highly recommend this place to others. Only down side is there is no WiFi and signal is a bit ropey.

Self Contained Rural Apartment, Pondicherry House

RodneyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
A very comfortable apartment in a brilliant setting, ideal for a week away. The view from the bedroom was amazing. Loads of walks nearby, Cragside a couple of miles away. Andy and Lyd were friendly and helpful and the provision of bird seed to feed our feathered visitors was a very nice touch. We'd definitely stay here again.

Westhills Byre

IfanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a lovey stay at the Byre recently, Rachel & Joe are superb hosts, they were friendly and made us feel right at home during our stay. This was a lovely hideaway from the world on their farm but still close enough to walk into Rothbury if you wanted to, it was perfect for what we wanted and needed for a few days away. We would definitely stay here again!
