Family-friendly vacation rentals in Östersund

There were eight of us staying at the house during week 9. Downhill skiing was tested in Klövsjö (barely five minutes by car), in Vemdalsskalet and in Storhogna. We thought Klövsjö was the best! Cross-country skiing was most appreciated at Åsarna (25 min by car). Ica is 15 minutes away as is a bakery/cafe that delivered very good bread. The house has everything you need and renting the house felt smooth overall. Recommended.

We had a great week in Åre. The cottage is much nicer and bigger in real life than what the pictures describe. Super happy with the whole experience. The spa in the basement as well as the hot tub were both a real hit! Very close to grocery store and only a stone's throw from the nearest ski lift, what more could you want! Communication with Jeff and his local caretaker was super and we felt really welcome. Highly recommended!

We spent seven wonderful days at the listing. Mats was very helpful and had valuable tips for things to do in the region. We felt very comfortable at the place!

Very nice place where you can enjoy the lake views from the jacuzzi. Kitchen was well equipped and items were easy to find. Towels and linens for the pullout beds were provided, which was great!

Great location in quiet neighborhood. Large and nice garden that both children and dog enjoyed. The house was a good fit for a family of five, and we had a few nice days in Ostersund.

A cozy, simpler cottage in a nice area. Close to the slopes in Klövsjö and Vemdalsskalet. Very affordable. Before we arrived, we were warned that the dishwasher was broken and the error could not be fixed before our arrival, but it didn't do much. The only thing that we thought was a bit of a shame is that you could not pay, and thus avoid, the cleaning before departure, you are right out after a few days of intense skiing and it would have been nice not to think about that cleaning. But it was still pretty quick to get it done.

Carin's place was much better than what we had expected. Clean, fresh, perfect location with car to the ski slopes. Besides this, Carin was a very nice person who responded kindly to our questions. Highly recommend this home and we hope to be back here during spring/summer

Cozy apartment with a great location! Walking distance to the lift that opens first as well as to ski rental. The place was well planned and fresh. We enjoyed our stay here very much. Communication with the host as well as check-in/check-out was also smooth and clear. Can highly recommend this home to others and would love to stay here again!

We had a great winter holiday week at Jualianne’s apartment. The apartment was clean, well equipped and as advertised. You can basically ski in and ski out, very easy access to the slopes. We can warmly recommend!

We had a lovely ski week in this nice cabin. The cottage is cozy, the kitchen well equipped and is located almost no view of the neighbors. It may be good to know that 2 of 3 bedrooms are very small but for us it worked well. There are good hangers, etc., for ski stuff for a whole family and extra appreciated with ski boot heaters. Very welcoming host, prompt responses, very helpful and friendly. We could not have asked for more. Quiet area, with parking but handy for town & ski area, with a few places to eat nearby, but we cooked for ourselves, very easily in the well equipped kitchen. Only slight downside is just 1 bathroom in the apartment (which may or may not be important to you)

Our family of 5 had a great 2 day stay at Bjørn's annex. It was clean and nice, and had all facilities. We got a quick response to messages and there was a nice welcome gift on the table when we arrived- thank you so much. There were several horses in the horse farm - that almost surround the annex, and both we and the kids could pet the horses. We really appreciated that. Thank you for us- we would love to come back :-)
