Cottage vacation rentals in Orotava Valley

Great accommodation, fabulous location and stunning views. This rural area is very quiet and with no light pollution clear night skies are just magical. Mostly the temperature this high up is lower than the coast but not always. The coast, which you can see from the terrace, is 20 minutes away by car. The house is modern and attention has been paid to the things that matter. A perfect base for us. The journey up from Arafo is steep for many kms and roads are narrow but often one-way. You do need google maps though – our rental car did not have a sat nav. We found the house in the dark and pouring rain. Juan was very helpful and responded very quickly. Without him we would have had real difficulties with replacing our car which had a puncture and no repair kit or locking nuts on board. Car rental company Record Go (via Opodo) was worse than useless. For organic fruit & veg: La Albahaca in Arafo and La Tajea in Mercado de Santa Cruz. For eggs: Juan’s hens! We will revisit. Loved it.

My boyfriend and I had such a lovely time staying here. The views are absolutely amazing, and the house is beautiful and rustic. The terrace is very spacious, and there is a little garden that attracts lots of little birds. The whole house is dreamy and surrounded by cute flowers and native plants. We loved using the log burner in the evenings, as it sometimes got quite chilly; this made it even more cosy and homely. Having a car is essential to stay here (and also to explore the rest of the island). There's a Lidl and Aldi nearby and plenty of great restaurants and beaches. Thank you so much for having us!

Outstanding location with absolutely mesmerising views !! Away from the cluttered cities surrounded by vineyards I would highly recommend for those seeking a getaway in Tenerife. The places has not only views to offer , fully equipped with all sorts of amenities that one would ever wish for. Ellen is a great host very responsive and helpful. I would definitely be coming back for more !!!

We had a wonderful stay at in La Florida and would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday away. The house and gardens were exactly as shown in the photos and a wonderful place to relax. We really enjoyed the wood burning hot tub, we purchased additional wood from the Repsol garage. The drive to the house was steep but very manageable for a confident driver. Initially we were given keys to only one of the apartments however as this had two single beds we requested the keys to the second place as this had a double bed and Susana was very accommodating in providing these.

The property is lovely and everything you need for relaxing getaway. We loved the outside area, Al fresco at its finest. Supermarket is situated at the bottom of the road, 5-10 minute walk. Puerto del La Cruz is only a 15 minute drive and playa El Bollullo is on 15 minute drive, bit of a walk down to the beach, but well worth it. also the restaurant at the top is lovely, with a great back drop. If you want a relaxing getaway away from the hussle and bussle, then this is the place for you. Wake up to beautiful views of Tiede and the sea. what more could you want. See you next time.

The Villa was absolutely beautiful, a pleasure to return to after a day out and perfect for 5 adults and a 2 year old. The Villa was spotless and there was plenty of linen for a two week stay. There is everything you can wish for in the Villa. There is a lovely pool on site, cold water but refreshing on a warm day. The Villa is within easy reach of two Supermarkets and shops and a five minute walk to the regular Adeje Market. An 8 minute walk will bring you to the delightful beaches of Del Duque. The host is super responsive, all in all a great place to be.

A nice house in a beautiful location, the garden, and the views of Tiede from it, are absolutely stunning. The house was clean and well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Maykel is responsive and answered any queries we had promptly. Highly recommended.

We felt right at home, good location, quiet area with a very good nearby guachinche. You have many trails to do near the house. The house in general was perfect, very clean and tidy. The jacuzzi was perfect for relaxing and was in very good condition. Very clean sheets and towels and very comfortable beds. The only thing you have to park several meters from the house because just in front is usually a neighbor's car, but everything else is great. We only had a problem with the Oven that did not work because the leancas were skipping, but we already communicated it so they can fix it for upcoming stays. What we liked most is that it allowed us to stay on the last day until late because I had no reservations and that is all a detail from the host that very few do. Everything else perfect. Thank you very much Aldo for your kindness, we will definitely repeat again. A hug.

Quiet house in the heights with beautiful view. Central location 3/4 hour max from the East Coast, West Coast and Teide. Spiral staircase to access the bedrooms and the only small bathroom. Gas stove and fireplace welcome to warm the house. Laying hens but leaving their droppings all over the place. Haydée was always very responsive to all our requests and recommended a good restaurant very close by. We recommend for country lovers.

We had a great time here! The house is very close to nearby restaurants (2-4 minute walk), pools in the sea (20 minute walk) and has a nice view of the sea. The town itself is quiet and has everything you need, the nearby market offers all necessary things. We would definitely visit again!

We wanted to disconnect from everything and that's exactly what we got here. It's such a little hidden gem, very private, the BBQ & pool areas are a touch with views looking down towards the Atlantic! Literally an 8 minute drive up through La Guancha and you are in the forest, I can recommend Casa de la Pradera easy terrain, our dogs loved it. A few hundred meters up the road and you come to Bodega Viñatigo very nice wines. The host Lara is very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely go back.

The apartment is very nice, clean and lovingly furnished – lots of nice details! 😊 Maribel was super attentive and available at any time. We felt completely comfortable and would come back anytime.

We loved our stay here in Los Carbonaras. The house was beautiful, functional, and had everything we needed. The only note for other people is to know the walls in the bedrooms don't go all the way up so you can hear each others (watch out for snores!). But it absolutely did not detract from the experience. We had a lot of fun cooking in the kitchen and enjoying the ourside terrace. The views from the place are stunning and it is a great location to explore the area by foot. The property is part of a small farm and Yanira's mother was an attentive neighbor who let us have some of their fresh grown spinach. They also left us some fresh eggs and fruit in the house. We really enjoyed the walks between the villages, which we mostly did on the road since there were so few cars. Nature was right on the doorstep, with plenty of birds, butterflies and plants to satisfy us nature nerds. We would absolutely come back in a heartbeat.

We were delighted with the beautiful hacienda house and its flower garden. The environment in a banana grove is extremely quiet with only birds chirping. The house is functional, clean and the bedding is very comfortable. The information and photos are very clear to get to the house. Thank you for a great week's vacation.

It was really something special in April! It is even more beautiful than in the photos and the huge property (former vineyard) is very well maintained and in a quiet location with great views from the mountains down to the sea. Spanish restaurants and a supermarket can be reached by car within a few minutes. Beautiful hiking trails are nearby. The house is equipped in the best possible way - everything was there. Even the fridge was stocked on arrival so that the first evening and morning were completely relaxed. Pool, basketball, soccer and even table tennis and table football in an extra room. There was even an extra grill house. It's just great and I recommend it! The host was super friendly and gave us the best possible support. Thank you very much for the great time!

We had a truly unforgettable stay in Los Silos an experience we’ll always cherish. The evenings spent enjoying dinner and drinks in the garden were magical, full of charm and warmth. I had a bit of trouble with the check-in process because I was swamped and forgot to send my details, but Jan was incredibly patient and kind, calling a few times to help me through it all with genuine care. The kitchen is exceptionally well-equipped everything from toasters and mixers to an oven and a wide range of seasonings. If you love to cook, you’ll feel right at home. If you’re looking for a stay that leaves a lasting impression, Casa La Moringa is the place to be. Thank you Jan and Susanne !

We had a week in Esther's amazing apartment, where there was everything we needed. We very much enjoyed the tranquility and the lovely lushness of the north coast far from the mass tourism on the south coast. The apartment is small, but it is fully compensated by the lovely terrace area overlooking the water - with outdoor furniture, barbecue, sun loungers and great atmosphere with palm trees and hammock. We'd love to come again.

The small cottage is at the end of a cul-de-sac, so super quiet. You can hear the sea rushing and the location is very exciting. Everything was impeccably clean and well decorated. The house is small with a narrow spiral staircase. There is a room that can be reached via the small courtyard. That was not a problem for us both, for a family with smaller children maybe... For my feeling, the street was very narrow and the parking spaces rare. We then parked a little further above and from then on everything was more relaxed. The neighbors were friendly. When we arrived there was chilled water, wine, gin and a small snack, that was super nice! Fran was easily accessible. Tanganana is beautiful and the beaches there are fantastic. We enjoyed it very much!

This place is incredible! A wonderful stone house in the mountains. Peaceful, beautiful and cozy like home. You can find everything you need in the house. BBQ zone is perfect. We used it every day! We had all our breakfast with a wonderful mountain view. What could be better than spent your evening near fireplace after whole day exploring? The host is super nice and helped us to find a nice whale watching tour. We didn’t have issues with parking. At least one place was available every day in the evening. We had visited a supermarket in advance before checking as there are no stores near. But it is not an issue at all. I strongly recommend that place!

We had a wonderful stay at José Antonio's! The house is beautiful, very well equipped, very cozy and there is a fantastic view from the balcony with all-round views of the sea, the Teide and sunset. José and his family are wonderful, super attentive and child-loving hosts! There were bananas, avocados from our own garden and other little touches on arrival for us and the children. Everything was ready upon arrival (changing table, toys, baby bath, etc.). Our son loved playing in the huge garden among avocado & banana trees and feeding the chickens every day. We had a wonderful vacation and highly recommend this place and hope to come back soon. Thank you for everything :-)
