Beach house vacation rentals in Orford

This was a very last minute, fantastic short break away so thank you for your accommodating! The home is as described and gives off a very cosy vibe as soon as you enter. The house is equipped with all the facilities required to relax and have some home cooked meals. Our stay was only for 2 adults but we definitely can envision families with kids having the best time here. The location is peaceful right by the beach so great for long walks and the restaurant facilities nearby are excellent. Steve was super helpful and very communicative, so thank you again and we can’t wait to return during warmer seasons.

Had a great long weekend at the house. So easy to walk to the beach each day and local pub was also great for food.

This was my first booking with Airbnb so I didnt really know what to expect but Mel has certainly set the standard. She is a friendly, helpful, honest, and incredibly responsive host. The house was exactly as described and the quiet location was perfect for us. We'll definitely stay again when we return to Mersea Island, which was beautiful too!

Really loved our stay at Lee’s place over the Easter weekend. It’s spotless and there are details he hadn’t mentioned which really helped us out, travelling with a 3 year old (eg blackout blinds, a highchair and a clever child’s seat built in to the loo seat lid). It had a lovely feel to it and we were at home right away. Very much enjoyed walking along the seafront to Harwich old town. Having an Asda a short walk away is v helpful too. Would love to return in summer and am already looking at dates. Thanks for a fantastic stay.

What an amazing place. Everything was exactly as described and very clean. We were able to fit 3 cars in the courtyard with a bit of juggling about. It did mean the outdoor space was not usable but with the weather being cold that was not a problem. We were a family gathering so my wife and I stayed in the Dinky which meant we could escape from the grandchildren and had peace and quiet! The only small niggle was the picture in the lounge at the bottom of the stairs. Our 4 year old grand daughter decided the main character was Jesus but I could only count 10 disciples, despite looking at it for some time. I am not going to comment any more as it would spoil the surprise for any future guests. Toby kindly left some essentials, flowers, wine, milk and biscuits which was very kind. We would definitely recommend it to everyone.

One of the nicest, cleanest places we’ve stayed, even smelt nice when we walked in. The location is perfect, 5-10min walk down to the beach and the best unspoiled view over the sea. Sunrise is beautiful. The property is well equipped, comfortable and has all we needed. Would stay again. :)

Wonderful house with great sea views. The location was in close proximity to all the shops, pubs, restaurants and pier. Lovely host, extremely good communication and made sure everything ran smoothly. 100% recommendation.

We had a wonderful 4 days at the barn with our family. Great that we grandparents had our own ‘suite’ upstairs away from the early morning mayhem of the grandchildren! The barn is in the most perfect setting. The children loved the short walk to the private riverside beach where they built sandcastles and paddled in the river. We enjoyed long walks along the river almost making it to the Ramsholt Arms. Sutton Hoo is really close by as are Aldeburgh, Orford, Bawdsey and Shingle Street. All worth a visit!

We’ve just arrived home after a 2 night stay at James’s place. Very comfortable and well equipped. James kindly let us check in early as it was cleaned and ready for us. Nice and quiet area and lovely warm indoor pool. There is a pub opposite where everyone was very friendly and darts and pool is free. We had fish and chips delivered from Oulton Road fish and chip shop and they were amazing. I would recommend and definitely stay again.

Very comfortable, well equipped caravan. Travel cot easy to put in largest bedroom. Good amenities, bonus of small bath ideal for babies. Lovely decking area which catches the sun and clear easy instructions for access. Will be booking again!

What made our stay so great was the communication we had with Daisy. There were a few snags, parking, getting in the complex late at night without a key code, heating and water didn’t work the first day and the light in the kids room didn’t work. That said, she was incredibly helpful and polite. All sorted quick as a flash. Very clean, free WiFi, all you needed for a nice weekend break. Would 100% go again and recommend to any family. We’re a family of 5 and it was …..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!!!! Thankyou Daisy! 💙

Great house, great location, easy to find, spotlessly clean, everything we needed for a family stay. Carly provided a cot, hight chair and toys which were good quality.

We’re just back from a wonderful weekend at Sarah’s. The house itself is clean and cosy, good hot shower and beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed Sarah’s treats she had made also. The location of the house is perfect. Southwold is a pretty compact place and everything was walkable from Sarah’s including to the beach. The beach hut was a great bonus and we enjoyed two sunny days there, having a glass of wine and watching the world go by - it was so lovely. I’d highly recommend Sarah’s- we hope to be back!! We had a lovely Easter weekend at Bluebell Cottage! The house was very cosy and nicely decorated, plenty of space for our family of four. Lovely sunny garden and a great modern TV with digital channels available. The welcome basket of treats was a lovely touch and the cupboards were well stocked with everything we needed and more! Really comfy beds too. Locally we explored Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft, both really easy to get to. We also walked down to Gorleston beach which took maybe 10 mins and is a beautiful beach, so well worth a visit. We’d happily stay at the cottage again.

A beautiful peaceful house which is also extremely convenient for the local beach and amenities on the high street. Highly recommend staying here if you want to enjoy Aldeburgh!

We had a wondeful time at the House in the Clouds. It was a great place for a family celebration and none of us could really believe we were staying in such an iconic building and one we had looked at since the 1970's. Such an amazing place for a family reunion and all the children who visited during the weekend (thye were staying in other houses in Thorpeness) had a brilliant time too. There is so much for them to do in the house and garden. The kitchen was really well equipped and we cooked meals for the 10 of us actually staying in the house. Thoroughly reccomend this unique experience.

The property was lovely and clean, nicer in person than the pictures on the listing. We received recommendations of local restaurants/cafes. It was extremely easy to access the property via keysafe, and Gemma and Ryan were very helpful with any questions we had. And the hot tub was gorgeous! Thank you for having us!

This home and host is a little hidden gem of west mersea. The house is impeccably clean and cosy and honestly felt like home from home I slept well all 3 nights which is rare for me when away from home. The home has just about everything you could think of in it making life so much easier all round. Everything went smoothly thanks to Jayne who was very accommodating and helpful from the moment of booking until leaving. Would definitely want to stay again in the future. Thank you Jayne.
