Very large, clean house that was warmed by the sun, and in the evening was toasty with the gas heater. Two large lounges, generous kitchen that functions well. Hot bbq! Good location - within walking distance to the river walkway, and the town. There is quite a bit of road noise if you are sitting outside.

This was a great place to crash for a week while we explored Whakatāne and Ohope. Easy, quick beach access. Close to a fun park and just up the road from a surfing spot. Close to hikes and a good market nearby. Good kitchen. Comfortable beds. Fun ping pong table and space to store our bikes.

Adrienne's place was absolutely perfect for our group of four. Plenty of room to spread ourselves out plus great communal areas. Fantastic views of the beach and ocean from the main living area. Extremely comfortable beds ensured a good night's sleep. We even made use of the heated swimming pool, despite the weather bomb that hit while we there. Communications with Adrienne were excellent. We had the most wonderful stay at Aisling’s home! The house was perfectly situated, just a stone’s throw from the beach and only a short 6-8 minute drive to Opotiki township. The cleanliness was exceptional, and the house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, making it feel like a true home away from home. The doors and windows leading out to the deck were a highlight, allowing the fresh air to flow through the home. The deck itself was perfect for relaxing, whether it was sipping morning coffee or enjoying dinner with family. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and there was an ample supply of bedding, which added an extra layer of comfort. The entire home exceeded my expectations, and my family thoroughly enjoyed our 2-week stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Highly recommend Aisling’s home – it’s a true gem!

Jolene’s beach house has unbelievably spectacular views. The house design and decor is straight out of a home decorating magazine. The huge deck gives perfect privacy and breathtaking sunsets and sunrises. The ocean was warm and wonderful for swimming . The house itself is incredibly well outfitted and Jolene made sure that we had everything, including coffee…. driving way out of her way to show up in the morning with a missing part for the machine. We were delighted with everything about this experience and only wished we could have stayed longer.

Our family had a wonderful stay at Barbs beautiful home, it had everything we needed, fully equipped kitchen, spacious living and dining, loved the outdoor deck straight off lounge nice spot to eat and relax a wonderful touch was each room was so beautifully presented and the spa pool topped off each day with a relaxing soak. Feeding Mr Wilson was great too the kids enjoyed having a little job each day. Thank you so much. We had a lovely Easter weekend together.

The stay at Marinas place was lovely and me and my partner enjoyed it a lot. Marina was very helpful and kind and even offered us breakfast. Thank you so much Marina, we both really appreciated it :)

You know when you walk in to an air BnB and you instantly feel at ease and like you’re going to have the best weekend because of the place you get to sleep is perfect, this is how I felt stepping into Raewyn and Rod’s property. It was clean to absolute perfection, the bathroom was really cool, the beds were great - comfortable as and the granola, as per other reviews was fab! The home made peaches were however my favourite and my dad loved the plum jam! It’s peaceful with a great view and ambient outdoor areas to soak up some sun. In walking distance from a cute coffee spot and the pub was great for food. My dad and I had the best weekend and we couldn’t be more grateful for our stay and highly recommend.

Lovely quiet unit, back from the road, within easy walking distance of the beautiful beach, playground and cafes. Homely atmosphere with private deck. The unit was lovely and clean with all the amenities of home

Lovely place with amazing ocean and beach views. Very comfortable apartment and loved the big terrace. The only challenge was lack of dishes and glassware. There were only 3 large water glasses, no small ones, and only 5 wine glasses of different sizes. Makes it a challenge when 4 people stay. Dishware was also lacking and some chipped. For the cost of the unit, I expect better kitchen items. Otherwise, all was good
