La ubicación es excelente, con una gran terraza con vistas al hermoso puerto de pesca y el sonido constante del mar ,las grandes ventanas dan a la cala. I recommend this apartment to everyone that wants to have a genuine experience of the Alentejo countryside. It is easy to approach, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed, and the farm was simply beautiful and peaceful. Sabine and Dries are lovely hosts who made sure we had a great stay. I fell in love with Alentejo and I hope I can come back to their farm next time!

Incredible location overlooking the ocean. The. Ire’s are insane and the Fisherman’s Trail is right outside. There are other houses nearby but you are not aware of them. It feels very private. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need. The kitchen is obviously used by a family who likes to cook—nothing was missing. One review mentioned a “remodel congestion”. I kind of see what they mean (there are a lot of doors!) but it did not get in the way of our enjoyment of the house. It’s quite a relaxing vacation spot that has more than you need. Plus, crispy cotton bedding! Tomàs was communicative and friendly. Thank you!

We had very nice days in the nice apartment. It is quiet and idyllic and the children had a lot of space to romp. It was stocked with everything we needed. Unfortunately we had some bad luck with the weather and it was cold and rainy. I hadn't seen when booking that there is no heating. However, we were able to heat the apartment very well with the fireplace and enjoyed the evenings in front of the warm fire. We would mist definitely visit again. Thank you for the beautiful days and the delicious homemade fruits and vegetables!

The house is very welcoming and perfect for a couple with kids. It is very spacious and is well equipped The only if not is the lack of pressure for the water of the baths “at rush hour” after the beach. This is our third time staying at João's house and we will return for sure.

Most peaceful stay of our trip to Portugal. The space is incredible and really relaxes you to be out in the country side, seeing cows eating in the valleys across from you while you cook breakfast or hearing the owls in the evening while you are falling asleep. Impressive that you could also still get great wifi if you needed to catch up on things or watch a movie after dinner. I actually thought the pictures didn't even do the space justice for the surroundings as you are perched on top of a little hills looking down into meadows of a valley covered with flowers. Makes you feel nostalgic. My only suggestion would be that in the kitchen - quality organic olive oil from the local region and a clean option for basics like sea salts are offered, otherwise you have to buy them yourself beforehand because the options there were not good. This was an incredible place and I would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a nature trip.

Vila Nova de Milfontes is absolutely beautiful, situated at the mouth of a river with stunning beaches all around it. The town is cute, with lots of great bars & restaurants, we found it to be a very relaxed friendly place. Teresa was great, she met us earlier than we had originally asked, showed us around & was very responsive to questions before our trip. The house is lovely, spacious, comfortable, well equipped & the outside courtyard is perfect, great space to spread out from other guests & relax or have a meal. It is situated in the old town, only a ten minute stroll to the stunning town beach. The ferry to the beach on the other side is a must do as are a trip to any of the other beaches near by, its just a stunning place to hole up for a while.
