My stay at New Ruins was absolutely fabulous. If your spirit is called to have this experience here, you are quite lucky. I had great conversations with the other guest and the overall energy was wonderful. Nico is a super cool guy who is full of jokes and has a very likable personality, he is very chill and easy to get a long with. If you are not used to living in harmony with nature then staying here could be an adjustment for you. I was totally in my element and it was more than ideal for time I spent.

This place is pure magic. It’s simple, but in the most meaningful way - the kind of simplicity we’ve been searching for through years of travel. Tucked away on one of the most incredible beaches, it feels like you have the world to yourself. We felt so connected to nature here. Each morning, Alejandro arrived with fresh coconuts from the trees surrounding our hut - a small gesture that captured the essence of this beautiful experience. Alejandro and his family are truly special people, and their warmth made our stay unforgettable. They even gave us some great surf advice that led to some of the best days surfing we ever had! We’ll definitely be back. It’s one of those rare places that words can’t fully capture - you just have to go and see it for yourself.

La casa en Puertecito es increíble, superó nuestras expectativas. Con mi familia pasamos unos días increíbles, con unos amaneceres y atardeceres hermosos, también cenando en la playa que está súper cerca. Seguramente volveremos más días. La llegada a la casa es fácil siguiendo las indicaciones que te envían, no sigas el gps ya que no indica el camino correcto.

Incredible place, in a really lovely location. Meant to only stay a few nights, but ended up staying for a week. No internet meant it was easy to disconnect and relax. Kitchen is well equipped and Alejandro was great in buying and delivering our shopping lists everyday so we never had to leave. If you did want to leave though, it was super easy to get a Tuktuk up to town, or walk it in 30 minutes. It’s also the only place on the beach, and 10 minutes walk from the point break so basically the best location you could have. Wholeheartedly recommend!

Samuel’s space in Teotitlán is the perfect location for anyone interested in a visit to this famous weaving village. With beautiful mountain views and starry nights every night, you’ll spend nearly as much time enjoying the scenery as you do activities like weaving and cooking classes. Samuel and his family are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Be sure to check out their gallery and relax in the hammock in between your other local adventures! El espacio de Samuel en Teotitlán es el lugar perfecto para cualquier persona interesada en visitar este famoso pueblo de tejedores. Con hermosas vistas a las montañas y noches estrelladas todas las noches, pasarás casi tanto tiempo disfrutando del paisaje como haciendo actividades como clases de tejido y cocina. Samuel y su familia son súper amables y te hacen sentir como en casa. ¡Asegúrate de visitar su galería y relajarte en la hamaca entre tus otras aventuras locales!

Esta cabañita es un gran lugar para pasar días de total desconexión con el caos y el estrés de la ciudad. Està rodeada de pura naturaleza. Es un gran sitio. En la localidad cercana (a 3 minutos) hay un restaurant para desayunar y comer. Un sitio de hamburguesas muy buenas. Un super y varias tiendas. Si quieres visitar todo lo de Etla, incluido El Casa, está cabañita es ideal. Aún sin auto te puedes mover fácil (si te gusta caminar). Yo fui del aeropuerto a la cabaña en colectivos y todo fue muy sencillo. El sitio es un espacio que se ha construido con mucho amor, se siente. El perrito y la gatita son muy muy muy hermosos. No dudes en quedarte aquí. La pasarás muy bien. A mí y a mis gatitos nos dio mucho este sitio. Gracias !

La casa se encuentra en un lugar muy tranquilo y acogedor. Desde abajo se aprecia el mar y por la parte trasera montaña. Las instalaciones muy cómodas y confortables, la cocina muy bien equipada, solo porque soy oaxaqueña faltó un molenillo pero se solucionó con otro utensilio. Pudimos cocinar durante nuestra estancia con mucha comodidad. El sistema de agua fría y caliente para bañarse es súper eficiente. Hay buena iluminación y ventilación, las camas súper cómodas. La amabilidad de Abel y Jorge estuvo presente siempre. Y sobretodo respetuosos con nuestra privacidad. Fué un gusto estar ahí y volveremos a ir en cuanto nos sea posible.

Camped under the stars at Planta and it was such a relaxing and wonderful experience. It the perfect place to connect with nature, like minded people and be fully immersed in an environment centered on sustainability and environmental conservation. Nayo is an awesome host; very warm and welcoming. He was very helpful with all of my needs like transportation, food and recommendations to local beaches/activities. Definitely will be back!

This place is a such a gem. You are surrounded by cactus and agave and the mountains. The sunrise is absolutely gorgeous and the starry night sky takes your breath away. The bungalow is super well equipped with everything you need. But the best part about this Airbnb is the hosts. Rigoberto and Jorge are the loveliest hosts I’ve met. Super helpful, super personable, and just really kind souls. My Spanish is not great and they were really patient with me. I felt so relaxed and safe, and it’s just what I needed. I’m excited to come back to their place next time I’m in Oaxaca. I truly feel I now have a place I can call home in Mexico.

El alojamiento tiene una vista increíble, que se disfruta mucho tanto al interior como al exterior del espacio. El clima en esta temporada fue muy agradable, con el cielo despejado que nos permitió disfrutar del amanecer. El espacio cuenta con lo necesario para disfrutar de la estancia y Rigoberto siempre estuvo pendiente de nuestras necesidades.

I extended my stay in Oaxaca to stay at Dixza Rugs and Organic Farm and I was not disappointed in the slightest! We did a weaving workshop with Samuel and I created a small, beautiful, woven rug that I will cherish forever. There was a special celebration happening in the town of Teotitlan which included a parade, fireworks, and traditional dancing. Samuel was very welcoming and open to sharing about his Zapotec culture. Celestino was also very friendly and shared his knowledge about animal husbandry. The whole family was a delight to be around and made me feel right at home, including their sweet dogs. I felt safe exploring the town and daily market to purchase fresh food, chocolate, and other crafts. The showers were the best I had in Mexico and the beds were extremely comfortable. The location was quiet, private, and very relaxing. I loved sitting on the rooftop to view the mountain landscape and enjoy a cup of coffee every morning. Highly recommend!

My stay at Casa DaviLinda was simply amazing. The home was beautiful, comfortable and filled with local art and handmade goods. For my first foreign solo trip, I felt safe within the gated property. All my questions were quickly answered and communication was simple and easy. I highly recommend this wonderful spot for your next stay.

If you are looking for a peaceful, outdoor, countryside, real, OAXACA experience, this is the place. Breakfast was amazing, swimming pool was very cold but refreshing when the sun was out and rooms as described. Be aware of many cute dogs and of course this is in the middle of nature so you will bump into insect a lot. Would recommend. Thank you!
