Helen was so helpful! Her place is absolutely spotless. Well equipped for a family! Kitchen is fantastic, everything you need! Great garden area which is private and secure which was perfect for our pooch! This house is exceptionally clean. We will be back - Thank you Helen x

Janet is the epitome of a superhost. Nothing was too much trouble. She was so helpful in every aspect, easy to communicate with. We were very pleased with every. The cottage was to a very high standard. It was all the little things that made it a very nice stay.

Hannah and Heath were absolute stars! Can you imagine our embarrassment at turning up a day earlier than we had booked for?! Hannah and Heath came down to their lovely cottage and got it all prepared at speed for us! So kind and incredibly generous considering our blunder. The cottage was well furnished, very clean, and had all mod cons. There were very thoughtful additions of fresh flowers, a bottle of wine and some yummy chocolate treats. We were very comfortable there. The setting is absolutley beautiful and we were told that we could exercise our dog in the field behind the cottage. That was set out with a very large Children's Activity Centre that you might find in a play park. You could access the Tarka Trail via their land, which was great as we did some long walks along it, and stopped for refreshments at the Puffing Billy Cafe. We loved the cottage, it was everything and more! We would certainly like to return again for another stay and explore the area in more depth.

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Clean, great views, peaceful setting and a perfect base for walking the south west coast path. Ken and Laura were excellent hosts and gave us lots of local information. We hope to return again soon. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay in Appledore. The house was a great base, and was home from home. The house was well equipped with everything that we needed. Comfortable beds. No parking at the property, but we always managed to find somewhere. Parking for 24 hours in the car park was £5.50. Dog towels, bed and bowl was a nice touch. 😊 We had a lovely meal at the Flame Factory, and would recommend to others. We received a warm welcome in any of the pubs/ restaurants that we visited, and many had live music on different nights. We would return again.

Excellent host, super responsive and extremely helpful. The house worked for our needs of two families with young children. It is a rabbit warren with the construction of old and new, this was of course very exciting for the children and it meant everyone had their spaces. Location, one minute from the waters edge, amazing local bakery and lovely little shop. We parked in car park at the top of the hill (3-5 mins walk) due to the narrow streets and our large cars. It was super simple and cost effective. Even better we didn’t use our cars for the 3 days in appledore. Lovely little north Devon town, nice walk to westward ho along the coast (even in the rain and wind) Instow was lovely but we didn’t have to drive on route home due to high winds and no running ferry. Highly worth the visit though great space for dog walks, beach cricket and lots of general fun. We had a great time and would recommend Phil’s place

If I had an issue or question the phone numbers provided were very responsive. Lovely house. Big and spacious. Great views from ours. Nice warm temperature inside. The hot tub might not be hot on the first day of book in though.

Well, it’s safe to say we will be returning! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were made to feel at home. Sarah and Bee were incredibly welcoming hosts, taking us for a tour of our lodge as well as explaining in detail where all of the facilities were on site within 15minutes of arrival. We had everything we needed and more. Our one requirement was that we felt we could relax and get away from the hustle and bustle of a city. That we did! Located in a dark sky reserve, we had the pleasure of spending the evenings under the stars, listening to the wildlife, and spending quality time together. A lovely lodge in a small holiday park, the pool was an added bonus (outside and unheated but nice for a quick dip!)

We loved our stay at Anna’s place. It’s in the beautiful North Devon countryside but well situated to explore the rest of the area. We enjoyed using the pool but meeting the animals was definitely a highlight! We’ll be back to stay again :)

Excellent stay, very friendly host and brilliant amenities! We felt very welcome, including our dog and toddler, and enjoyed using the swimming pool and wandering round the grounds. The location was great for exploring Devon - we enjoyed some lovely days out as well as walks along the beautiful beaches. Would highly recommend Sharron and Stuarts cottages!

We loved our trip to Goodleigh. The farm was beautiful, the stables were beautiful - the hot tub was a real treat. The kids loved the rope swing and we played many of the games. The place was just beautiful, the decor, location and comfy beds were perfect for our week away. We visited some lovely beaches (30 min drive tops), Combe Martin and Lynton/ Lynmouth were favourites of ours. We visited a recommended pub - The Black Venus Inn was amazing, food was great. A perfect week and would 100% recommend.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Barn, superbly located for exploring the North Devon coastline and Exmoor National Park. Lisa was always on hand to respond to any queries and the accommodation itself was immaculate and well-equipped! We would definitely recommend a stay here and hope to be back ourselves!

We had such a lovely stay. The Shack was perfect! We had such quality time together in a fabulous place and surroundings ! We loved Appledore and all what it had to offer! We made the most of exploring other parts of North Devon too ! Thank you !

We enjoyed a fabulous family weekend away at Kate's property. The house was well situated in walking distance of shops, amenities and most importantly the beach at Westward Ho. The house was clean, well kept and very comfortable (beds especially). Kate was a super host, thoughtfully providing some essentials for our stay, knowing that we were arriving late. Her communication was also excellent throughout. Thank you for having us. Would be happy to stay again.

The cottage was just what we were looking for. It was easy to find, comfortable, clean, spacious, the garden was private and the perfect size for our little dog. The best welcome pack ever, it was close to all amenities. Lots of great places to eat. Lots of walks. We love North Devon and will definitely recommend and come back to the cottage.

Holly Hayes house is just wonderful. It was so lovely and clean. The bifold doors onto the patio were amazing. The bed and sheets so comfy. BBQ in the garden. If you want to use log burner remember to bring own logs, kindling and fire lighters as not provided. The location was fabulous, all on the flat the beach. Fantastic deli, ferry across to Appledore and pubs. All absolutely perfect, we didn’t want to leave!!!!

Absolutely fantastic little gem! Had our first holiday with the dog and we loved it! Enough space for the 3 of us for 2 days, the garden was stunning to explore & it was secluded and quiet! Was lovely to meet Mike’s dog & the cows next door came to say hello also. Wonderful little touches such as the chocolate on pillows, the ham, cheese, jam, milk & orange juice alongside the pasties just shows you don’t need to bring your own! Well thought out and such a relaxing weekend away! Defo would visit again!

Susie is the most welcoming and friendly host. On arrival The Swallows is a very pretty cabin in lovely surroundings. Just right for myself and my little dog, with everything we could need for the week. I can not emphasize how relaxing, sitting and listening to the birdsong was. A very clean and comfortable place to stay with the most delicious chocolate brownies. The Swallows is in a very handy position for North Devon and into Cornwall so a lot can be seen. I was visiting my friend in Clovelly and it is very handy for that. I will be returning again very soon. Well done Susie, lots of love Tracey & Taffy xx

One word … lush!! What a beautiful spot, it felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, yet still so close to lovely beaches, scenic walks, and plenty of things to do. I could have happily moved into the cottage, it was absolutely perfect. We were welcomed with thoughtful gifts of fresh bread, eggs and cake, which was such a lovely touch. I’m going to miss sipping my wine on the sun trap terrace listening to the sheep. Would love to book to visit again soon.
