We had a lovely peaceful stay here. The surroundings are beautiful but the location is also convenient for getting out & about. Our children loved seeing the chickens & Helen kindly let the check for eggs each morning which was their highlight. We would recommend.

Had a great visit! Very fortunate for John to be understanding and allow us to film our final student short film. John was always very quick to answer any questions, he was very understanding of filming which is always appreciated. The location was beautiful with some lovely surrounding scenery. Perfect for a peaceful getaway.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Richard’s barn! The place is located in a beautiful area – perfect for sightseeing and long hikes in nature. The barn itself is cozy and very well equipped with everything you might need to relax and enjoy your time. The indoor fireplace adds a lovely atmosphere, and the hot tub is a fantastic bonus after a day of exploring. The location is ideal – peaceful and quiet, yet close to many great trails and local attractions. Richard is an absolutely lovely host – super friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. We had a great weekend staying in Wykeham Cottage with our friends and puppy, the gorgeous Labrador boys on the yard were so good with him and our hosts were friendly, easygoing and most of all so welcoming. The property is very cosy and has everything you would need for a stay away from home. Cleaned to a high standard to complement the high quality furniture and decor. We will definitely be back!

Lovely cabin with beautiful girls. My girls loved the farm animals and will miss stroking and petting the dogs 🐕(Tony, Betty and Moose).

We’ve had an amazing Easter weekend at Hartleys Huts. Very calm, literally in the middle of nowhere. Loved the hot tub and the views! We had everything we needed. Would definitely come again, but probably not in the summer as the hut gets very warm in the sun! :)

We had a lovely stay. Great hot tub, safe and secluded. Read a book and walk to the local stones/ rocks which was a good 5 miles but we made it! Take water with you and purchased some eggs from a farm on the way back! The hut had everything we needed. Take a lighter with you and extra wood. Will supplies but we left it to late! All in all brill and would go back. Not a bad drive from north east . Well done was great!

just got back from a one night stay in the Jolly cabin it was perfect, everything that you need is there the bbq was great so was the views and hot tub hosts was very responsive.

Wow wow wow, what an amazing place to stay. Stunning house, stunning location. The attention to detail was fantastic, Philippa and Andrew were so approachable, friendly and helpful and they helped to make our stay comfortable. The house was spotless and full of everything we needed. Our children are already asking how soon we can come and visit again. The hot tub was ready for our arrival and the view were gorgeous, what a gem of a find. Very much looking forward to returning to Yoredale House, Thankyou for having us!

Clean, comfortable cottage beautifully situated in perfect location for walks from the door. Great shower, excellently equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and seating and large garden. Alyson was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. All in all, pretty perfect!

Outstanding cottage in a fantastic location. Hosts provide a great welcome pack and a huge array of “emergency” supplies in case there is anything you have forgotten. Kitchen is fantastic , Living room huge and comfortable, Bathroom spotless and Bedroom very comfortable. Highly recommend

I loved The Loft, it was just perfect. The house was beautifully decorated and had everything you could want or need, lots of lovely little touches made it really special. The view from the decking and the hot tub was spectacular and we spent many mornings and evenings just enjoying the peace and the surrounding views. I would definitely book again.

It’s the perfect spot for anyone seeking fresh air, tranquility, and access to a range of beautiful hikes and cozy local pubs. We spent two nights here and didn’t want to leave! Lynda and Fraser were incredibly helpful and accommodating, and recommended a stunning walk to Cautley Spout, which quickly became a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend this gem of a place — we’ll definitely be back!

The place is lovely perfect for peace and quiet lovely long walks and sitting outside by the fire we enjoyed every minute simon and his wife are lovely.
