Vacation rentals with a kayak in North Troms

Oddgeir's house was a find and an asset to our Arctic vacation. We had a wonderful few days there with our 2 little children. Location: The remote location on the fjord is fantastic and very quiet. Obviously perfect for watching the Northern Lights, even if we were unfortunately unlucky because of the cloud cover. House: The house was very clean, the amenities optimal. Underfloor heating and fireplace - simply cozy. Communication: Couldn't have been better. 2 examples. 1) My husband and son traveled alone because my daughter was sick and we were only able to fly to Tromsø later. Oddgeir then offered us to stay one night longer at no extra cost. 2) When our car got stuck in the snow, he organized a tractor within 20 minutes that pulled us out. Oddgeir insisted that we feel at home - we did! Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful week at this house in Tromsö. Twice we were lucky to watch the northern lights from the roof terrace. It’s also only 2 min to the end of the road and the forrest where the aurora was even more beautiful to see. The view from the sofa down to Tromsö was amazing. The house had everything we could have wished for, even a sauna. Margrethe was a great host, offered lots of advice on local tours and welcomed us with little surprises on the table. I hope we can manage to come back one day.

Thomas is in tune with nature that he is surrounded by. It was truly an amazing experience to stay in the area and he made our stay so much better. He cooked for us fish he caught himself down in the fiord, truly amazing! He is very warm and welcoming host with lots of experience with people, mountains, ski activities and the surrounding area. His place is in located a little distance from Tromso but if you have a car it is very easy to get to. I wholeheartedly recommend!

What a fantastic time I had at this Airbnb. The location is nothing short of magical, a true winter wonderland. Private, silent and beautiful. Spending the nights standing in the snow illuminated by the waxing moon with stunning Aurora displays above all 4 nights. If you're looking to explore Senja this is the place to stay. Tommy is an incredibly kind person and it was a pleasure meeting and chatting with him. He shared my passion for nature and the Aurora and he puts a lot of care into your stay. This is a place to leave everything behind, get outside and get back to nature. A true arctic experience to be plowing snow from the driveway, collecting firewood and standing in the middle of snowstorms. I can't wait to visit again.

Very good house with 4 bedrooms and well equiped kitchen

The house is very big and spacious. The host is quick to respond. Recommended to stay. Divided into two floors, one floor is the living room, a huge living room And the surrounding scenery is superb, unfortunately, the clouds were heavy that day and we didn't see the aurora Otherwise, it would be more perfect!

An old, wooden cabin between the fjord and mountains, no extra luxuries needed.

Very pleasant stay, the accommodation totally matched our expectation to go skiing nearby. Nice and functional accommodation. Very nice view on the fjord with a beautiful indoor barbecue.

Celine was super nice and extremely responsive in her answers! The place is amazing, a crazy view right from the couch, in two minutes you are on the edge of the fjord and it is super quiet. Being in the center of the Lyngenalps, it is located in a tactical area to visit the Lyngenalps. In an hour, you are in the north with an open view of the ocean, and an hour south you enter dense mountain areas. In 40 minutes by ferry you can easily cross the fjord and enter the Kåfjord, amazing there too! On bad weather days we recommend a visit to the distillery a two-minute walk away, very interesting and easily accessible. We had a great time and hope to be back in the future! We loved our stay on Senja. The cabin’s location is beautiful and the hosts were very friendly, generous with their time and helpful with local advice.

Everything super! For skiing the real mountains of lyngen - there is no better place! Wood fired Sauna and hot tube, what can ask more!
