Monthly Rentals in North Ostrobothnia

We spent a lovely week at Meri's place in Oulu. The apartment is absolutely lovely with well appointed kitchen, unique interiors, wonderful sauna (which we enjoyed many times during our stay) and many thoughtful touches for a comfortable stay for Meri's guests. The apartment has a private patio and fenced-in yard. If you like to run or walk there great walkways and trails. There is a grocery store very close-by and also a bus station that makes trips to the city center easy. The bus system in Oulu runs frequently and reliably, so you can enjoy a quiet suburban and private home setting, but at the same time have an easy access to city center restaurants and shops. Meri was very kind and very helpful and answered promptly any questions we had about the location and transportation. The apartment was clean and welcoming and I can highly recommend Meri as a host and we hope to have another stay here. Thank you Meri!

Comfortable little cottage. Very suitable for 2 people and a dog. If you want peace and independence, I recommend. The outdoor sauna was good. The hot water system only worked moderately, so there was no “hot” water.

A house like in paradise. Seeing the midnight sun over the lake was a magical experience. We sat for hours (until the early hours of the morning) in the very cozy living room, enjoying the silence and the beautiful view. Several times we could even observe reindeer on the neighboring property. The most comfortable bed was in the piano room, with direct views of the garden and the lake. The other beds were also cozy - on top of the gallery just a little saggy and the single beds downstairs were too narrow for adults. But if you push them together, it works wonderfully. On the terrace, we could make ourselves very comfortable on the garden furniture, enjoy the sun and the fantastic view of the lake. Of course, we also enjoyed using the large sauna in the separate sauna cottage and the rowing boat. A lovely gesture from the hostess was chocolate, grapes and lemonade. Thank you for that!

Just the kind of place we expected. Everything was so clean and the sauna was ready except for scraping the firewood. Warm thanks!
