The place is beautiful! Even better than the pictures. The hot tub was so relaxing and the view is gorgeous. Lots of privacy for a quiet getaway. The place is very clean and Jess is a great host. She’s very friendly and responsive and also gives you privacy which we really appreciated. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, the host has even thought about the small things! We loved this place and I would definitely recommend it!! We would love to visit again! :)

We had an amazing stay at Greg’s cottage. It was the perfect getaway and the perfect mix between cozy cottage and fancy amenities! We loved the sauna and the hot tub, they were amazing additions to Greg’s. The beds were super comfortable as well which is always a plus at a cottage. Greg was always responsive and was super helpful. We cannot wait to come back to this cozy cottage! Thanks Greg!

Wait.. there is no option for 6 stars!?! Wow, where to begin!?! From check-in to check-out, our group had a fantastic time. Our host was super friendly and easy to connect with at all times. Our group had 8; 6 adults, a teen & a child. Everyone was entertained at all times from the karaoke machine, the games, the hot tub, the firepit, the kayaks & canoes, the swimming, and the stairway to haven, which was truly breathtaking taking!!! The town of Halliburton was a short 10 minutes away where we enjoyed some shopping, lunch & coffee. We were celebrating my parents 50th wedding anniversary; 78 & 73 years young and they rocked that staircase several times! We frequent Air B N Bs often and this is by far my new favourite. There is already talk of a return visit in the future. Highland Bliss is gourgeous, loaded with all the amenities, is spotless, super comfortable and my family is so thankful to Marcia for allowing us to visit her beautiful space and create lasting memories!

This place was beautiful and right on the water. We stayed for three nights and really enjoyed it. We had enough kayaks to have fun in the water. The location was very private and peaceful.

We had such a lovely stay at Cassey’s cottage! It was the perfect escape from the city!! Peaceful, charming, and beautifully set up. Just a short 6-minute drive to LCS, which was ideal for our Home of the Grove visit. Would absolutely stay here again!

We stayed at Rebecca’s place for 3 nights with a family of 7 and 2 small dogs. The cottage was so comfy and cozy and we enjoyed the entire weekend. There was a lot to do like kayaking and paddle boarding which was all provided as per the description! We loved the fire pit and the yard was so well kept and clean. They even had dog beds ready for our pups. She had a very well stocked kitchen that came with almost everything we needed. My family loved being both inside and outside the whole weekend. Thank you for sharing this little peaceful cottage with us, with the most amazing views of the lake.

I stayed at Michael’s place in June 2025 with some friends for a weekend getaway, in total there were 6 adults and one dog. The location was super easy to find and matched the photos and description exactly. Michael’s instructions were very clear and we had no issues whatsoever getting in and set up. It was also so nice to have an earlier check-in time than other Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at (check-in was at 1pm). The place is incredibly well-stocked, we were beyond impressed with the provided amenities, any little thing we may have forgotten was provided for us. We enjoyed the bonfire and the jacuzzi tub in the evenings, and had no problem following the easy instructions provided. We immensely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it for a small gathering of family or friends! We did also notice many little touches that would make a stay with children very comfortable. Thanks Mike for such a lovely stay!

We stayed for my wife’s 30th birthday celebration. Alex was extremely flexible with an early check in to facilitate setting up decorations prior to her arrival. He was fast to respond and very helpful with any issues we had. The cottage was beautiful and had everything we needed. I don’t think the pictures did this place justice, the view from the backyard was incredible.

The host was super friendly and considerate. The house was clean and loaded with everything you would need or even think about, and also everything was organized and was in its place. We may come back with our friends again, cause our experience was really satisfying.

The house was spotless and the garden was absolutely lovely. Both we and our dog had a wonderful time during our stay. We always bring our own sheets to Airbnb stays, but we couldn’t help noticing how fresh and clean the ones here smelled — that was a really nice touch. Many of the things we brought with us were already available in the house, which made everything so convenient. Hot water was always available, which made our stay even more comfortable. The garden was peaceful, filled only with the sounds of birds and frogs — it was truly relaxing to just listen to nature. Getting away from Toronto for a few days was exactly what we needed. Before we arrived, Dylan had kindly left firewood out in the yard for us — that was such a thoughtful gesture and we really appreciated it. Beautiful and spacious cottage on the lake with a great dock! The hosts were very responsive and helpful prior to our stay and during our stay. It is a great place to get away for a weekend with family or friends.

Beautiful piece of property, everything was as described. Cottage itself is more than adequate for sleeping, cooking and spending the evenings. Eric responded to every message, answering every question I had within minutes. Good fishing right off the dock, decent amount of privacy and was quite peaceful and Quiet in early June

We had a fabulous time at the cottage. So clean, peaceful, beautiful hot tub also. Scenery was amazing, so quiet and peaceful. Great fires at night. I highly recommend this place to others. Looking to escape the hustle bustle of the city. This is the place to be. Would definitely rent this again. 👍🥰❤️ The host was fabulous very attentive!!

The cottage was nice, clean and quiet, easy to find and close enough to town (Lakefield) to secure any items we forgot, and a Tim's for those who can't go without. The waterway was quiet out to the larger lake area, easy enough to paddleboard or row out to. Plenty of fish off the dock if that is your go to. Not sure if it was just the season, but no mosquito bites at all, and with no bug spray on.. maybe we got lucky. Sean was easy and pleasant to communicate with, no issues at all during our stay.

Very peaceful stay. The cottage is located in a quiet area with a private backyard. The water access is across the road which is a 10 second walk so not a big deal. The cottage was clean and there were puzzles, games an movies provided when the weather got bad. Did a local hike to Cathacoma trial which is a 5 minute drive. The listing is as described.

This was my second time staying at this cabin with my family, and it was once again such a great experience. The lake is beautiful and quiet and filled with nature and so many birds. It was peaceful and clean, and it was so easy to relax here. Definitely hope to come back in the future, this cabin has become one of my favourite places!

Our family (6 adults) enjoyed the weekend cottage stay immensely. The kitchen is large and well equipped and we cooked the majority of meals. The beds are comfortable, the two washrooms are a generous size - it is good to note these are located on the main floor while the bedrooms are upstairs. The cottage has a great view of the changing leaves perfect for a relaxing Thanksgiving weekend getaway.

We had an amazing time and even extended our stay by a day! The cottage was cozy and right by the lake, perfect for fishing and stargazing. However, a couple of things: One window lock near the kitchen was broken when we arrived.. we assumed this was left as is and didn't think much of it - We felt a bit uncomfortable with how this was addressed after our stay. We were faulted for not reporting this and was told "we look guilty" by not mentioning this to the owners. Some rocks around the fire pit were accidentally moved by our kids and thrown onto the lake. We didn't realize their importance as there were plenty of rocks around the property. We felt the follow-up comment about it was a bit off-putting. Then there was the outdoor furniture which the owners questioned if our children poked holes in it (did not) - 3 very small holes identified by owners. Overall, we had a wonderful family time and would recommend the place with some minor communication improvements.

What a beautiful waterfront cottage! Navid has been very responsive and accommodating of every requests and the cottage was very clean and organized. The view was amazing and had everything you need!

We felt really comfortable at Caroline's place, it was in a very quiet area and a short drive to some fantastic scenic walks. It was easy to find and Caroline's communication was great. I'd recommend staying here and would like to visit again.

I have stayed at over 130 AirBnBs, likely 40 of them cottages, and this may be my favourite. The effort and care put into making this property the ultimate lake experience is overwhelming. We didn't even have the chance to sit at every beautiful spot - there just weren't enough days! The beach - the dock - the lake fire pit - the hill fire pit - the deck fireplace - the gazebo with the full table and chairs - the perfect dining table overlooking the whole lake... And that's just outside. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the soaker tub sublime, and the main living room as cozy a spot as we've ever been. Our original AirBnB was not as advertised, and Tomek made his place available at 6 pm on a Friday night for the weekend. He didn't just save our weekend -- he made it better. I can't say enough good things. Book this spot. If you're looking for a cottage weekend relaxing outside, it might be the best I've ever seen. Thank you Tomek.

Beautiful cottage for a family weekend on the cutest little lake, perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. The kitchen was highly stocked with everything you could need and all the beds were very comfortable. Also very relaxing cute sun room off the main living area. Jennifer was a great host would highly recommend to anyone!

We enjoyed our family vacation at Josh’s beautiful cottage. The view was amazing and the cottage was perfect. The three bedrooms inside were very nice and the bunkie was perfect for me my husband and 2 kids There was plenty of room for the 9 of us staying there. The property was gorgeous. The only downside was we were told there was no boat launch but we found out there was a public boat launch and we could have brought our boat. Although the area at the cottage was super shallow the rest of the lake was deep. There were some big rocks in places though We enjoyed using the games and kayaks and paddle boards that were provided!! Overall it was a beautiful cottage and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there! The cottage was super clean and had all of the essential items needed!! Josh was a great host and very responsive.

Loved our stay at River Vista! The attention to detail was what makes this cottage luxury: from beautiful live plants, to plenty of convenient storage, comfy beds and a giant couch perfect for enjoying the forest view, playing board games or snuggling with a book. Loved walking to the falls, as well as just watching the river flow. The private mini hike was a cool surprise too. Last but not least, Natasha and Matt are responsive and helpful - thank you! We can’t wait to return in the summer so we can float, paddle board and canoe 🛶.
