Loft vacation rentals in North Island

This is a fantastic central Wellington Apartment. You are right in the heart of the city, so can be a bit of street noise, but the payoff is there is a cafe at the front door, with a bakery. Two craft beer bars within 20 meters. Restaurants all easy walking distance. Maria has hosted us a few times now, and we will be back again.

What a great place to stay! Close enough to the city and all of its attractions and far enough away from the ‘sweet’ smells of Rotorua. We enjoyed the wonderful daytime views and starry nights. The accommodations were comfortable like our own home.

The place was as per the photos. We found the property very cute and we enjoyed our stay. The printout with information about the area was very thoughtful and useful. If you come at night you might want to have a way to light the way as there is a small step down that you might miss. It might not suit people who are not used to lower ceilings and we did hit ourselves a few times until we got used to it. Because of that using the kitchen for cooking wasn't particularly pleasant but it did the job for the short time we were there. The kitchen had the essentials except for a cleaning brush or sponge. I needed to buy some for home so I didn't bother Chloe and Andy about it but I'm sure they'll be happy to help you if anything is missing.

Amazing place

A real gem on the Petone waterfront/esplanade! The place is as lovely as its hosts! Huge top floor all to yourself with 5 distinct areas: bedroom, bathroom, lounge, viewing section, TV nook. The pictures do not do it justice. Loved the ocean being opposite the house and the personal touches like hoisting the country of origin flag for the guests staying on their flag pole outside! Lesley and Lawry gave me the privacy I needed but were happy to socialise when I wanted some company too! Loved the little touches like breakfast provided in the self contained kitchen. Highly recommended, will book again in a heartbeat!

Beautiful views, clean cozy space. Our 2 4 year old grandsons were facinated with the views of Rotorua and admiring the stars. Our family loved our stay Appreciated the yummy food for breakfast

Margaret was gracious and attentive when needed. I can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. The entire place was well-furnished. The kitchen and bath were conveniently organized. The accomadations were spacious and the furnishings were comfortable from the sofas to the beds. The grounds were beautiful. I will be recommending Margaret's place to family members who will be visiting NZ later this year.

Great space. Very walkable and close to great restaurants, shopping, public transport. Had a car but didn’t need it the entire time while at this space. Loft is large and open. Love the character of the old brick building. Smaller bedroom has 2 beds and off living room while larger bedroom is up in a loft but private from main space. Only drawback is the bathroom is on the other side of the space from the larger bedroom. Large flight of stairs to get to it. Belinda was very helpful and very responsive to our requests while staying in the space. Would recommend and would stay again.

Steph’s loft is a stunner! Presented exactly as photos shown it did not disappoint - a wee treasure! Stylish, super clean, a very comfy bed, good quality linen/towels & unbelievably peaceful and quiet over a weekend stay! In fact it was so quiet we slept in!! We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and will happily return! The carpark was a bonus and whilst a small distance to walk it was not a problem! Jeanne met us at the loading dock close by to unload bags, showed us the loft and access etc before taking us to the car park and running through access there - too easy! Super helpful! Location is also terrific! Looking forward to staying longer next visit 😊😊

Our family loved staying at Tam and Charles' place. It was a wonderful space on the bottom floor of their home with a private entrance, two bedrooms, living room, kitchenette and huge bathroom. The unit looked out onto the bay and was a quick walk to the Whitianga ferry. A major highlight was Tam and Charles' warm hospitality from the initial greeting, and check-in with expert recommendations to breakfast supplies and various beach amenities for the guests. This place and the hosts made our Coromandel stay even more memorable.

Our stay was great! Our host was super flexible and responsive, and we had a great time. My only feedback for future guests is the walls/windows are quite thin and you're going to hear conversations and noise happening on the street, but that also comes with the territory of renting a room downtown. Would recommend!

I had a fantastic stay at Amanda’s place. The home was spotless, beautifully presented, and had everything I needed for a comfortable visit. Amanda was a welcoming and thoughtful host—communication was easy and she made sure everything ran smoothly from check-in to check-out. The location was also ideal, with great local spots nearby. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again—highly recommended!

Every detail thought of. Loved the well-equipped kitchen right down to clingfilm, baking paper and foil. Plus extra loo rolls & rubbish bags. Lovely bed linen and cotton covers. Beautifully clean and comfortable. We were only 3 but as stated can take maximum of 6 - table seats 6 as does informal lounge area - supermarket just found the corner plus lots of coffee bars/restaurants and uber to city very reasonable - walking pleasant too. Everything thought of - umbrellas for use downstairs - bottle of sparkling water in fridge on arrival - all these small things really make a big difference - thank you

We had a lovely stay in Taupō and the location was perfect! Very helpful hosts with an amazing space! Our dog (baby) Moko had a great stay as well! Totally recommend!
