Family-friendly vacation rentals in North Captiva Island

This house was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless—even the baseboards and ceiling fans were immaculate. The home is super spacious, with room to spread out comfortably (even the garage was huge!). The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need to cook indoors or grill outside, and there were multiple dining areas both inside and out. The pool and spa were beyond refreshing—clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by plenty of lounge chairs for everyone. We loved the outdoor eating area and the thoughtful extras like pool toys and bikes, which added a fun touch. My boys especially enjoyed exploring near the canal, which made for some great memories. The beds were super comfy, with plenty of extra linens and cozy throw blankets. The neighborhood was peaceful and quiet, and the house is in a perfect, central location. The hosts were amazing: extremely responsive and helpful.

We rented the house for a family reunion of 7 people, we ended up going only 6 people. We had a great time , we spent most of the time by the pool and inside the Jacuzzi and the pool. I will suggest to the Host to a couple of Lights or Flood lights in the back patio by the pool area. If you want to cook a BBB, you have to do it before it gets dark, the only light is the one inside the pool.

We had a fantastic stay! The house was incredibly well-equipped—there were plenty of essentials like paper towels, toilet paper, and all the little extras that make a stay comfortable and convenient. The pool and hot tub were both in perfect working order and made for a relaxing time day or night. The canal out back was a real highlight—great fishing with a wide variety of fish, including catfish, gar, and more. The house also came with five bicycles available for tenant use, which was a nice bonus, and there were TVs in every room—perfect for unwinding after a long day. The home felt truly luxurious, especially for the price. Jeff was a great host, and everything went smoothly. Highly recommend!

We had an excellent vacation at this gorgeous home! It was very private and clean making it a perfect relaxing spot for my family. The pool was awesome with the canal view and we enjoyed eating out in the patio every night! We loved our time in Cape Coral. The host was very friendly and had excellent communication. We had a few issues arise and the host immediately did everything they could to correct it. I would highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone traveling to the area.

Alex was very responsive on the occasion we needed him. Followed up with us too. He was a WONDERFUL host. The house and pool could not have been any better. We loved the indoor outdoor living. We found the house to have much more than we expected. Lots of kitchen supplies that were not expected. We live near by and had visitors from out of state and we would highly recommend this place to anyone all ages. Oh and our 2 little pups had a great times. So happy we can take them with us. We recently stayed at the Sanibel Harbor condo with our one year old daughter and her great grandma, and we had the most amazing time! Her uncle also joined us for a fun filled Saturday. We can’t say enough great things about this stay. The immediate access to the water via stairs was a huge plus and one of the main reasons we chose this property. It was absolutely beautiful, especially considering how hard the area was hit just two years ago by Hurricane Ian. The restoration and care put into the property truly show. We’re so grateful for the memories made here!

Cute little place. Very quiet neighborhood but only a 5 minute drive to grocery stores and other amenities. My girls enjoyed the pool and the dock for fishing although they didn't get any bites. It was perfect for our small party of 3 for a quick trip to SW FL. Would definitely consider John's place again.

This was a great “home base” for our event at the Heitman House. It was nearby and walkable, with plenty of space for all our guests. The house and backyard were excellent for hosting meals and hangouts, and the place was really well-stocked, making it feel like home and not a random rental. The beds were comfy and there were plenty of linens, including lots of extras so despite being at full capacity for days we didn’t need to go without. I really appreciated the amount of bath and pool towels that were provided! The hosts were responsive and had anticipated many of our questions and needs. Details like the kitchen having multiple coffee makers, and extra bug spray & beach chairs were nice touches.

Location is close enough to bike into downtown FMB and to the Publix, and we did both during our stay! The kids enjoyed the pool. House was stocked with everything you'd need for a day at the beach, which was much appreciated!

We had a wonderful week at Nancy’s place! It was just right for my husband, me, and our small dog. Location is great and it’s an easy walk to the beach! While small, the apartment has all the necessities. We particularly liked that there is a bike rack and the house is beside a bike path.

Had a great stay! We had to change our dates last minute and Rick and Heidi were awesome to work with! Great response time!! It was so close to everything only needed our car once!! Inside was clean with all the necessities! Would recommend and would definitely stay again!!!

Maggie's place was perfect for our family of 5 with 3 teenagers. We enjoyed fishing off the dock, swimming in the pool and loved all the birds and lizards in the back yard. There was an issue with the air conditioner and Maggie was responsive with the issue. The house was comfortable and in a great location to visit Sanibel Island and the Everglades. We would definitely stay at Maggie's place again.

We spent the month of March at this home and enjoyed the experience. With only solar heat we were afraid we wouldn’t use the pool but it was great and enjoyed lots of floats. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor area and beautiful canal views. Everything looked like the pictures. We loved the quiet neighborhood too

we stayed 3 weeks and felt like at home from the first moment on. the house is amazing. very clean. everything is working well. you have all what you need and more. my wife was so happy to see the air fryer. smile. we cooked for ourself most of the time. if I would choose a home for the rest of my live I would choose a one like this. short trip to many restaurants and shops. we loved our stay and will come back for sure. John and Colleen are so friendly and helpful. always available. we will put this stay to the best 3 of our lifetime. we thank John and Colleen so much to make our stay so memorable.

This condo was beautifully put together. Had beach chairs, nets, and other beach accessories. The pool and beach are right outside and the resort the property is located at is very peaceful and quiet. Our family had a great trip and highly enjoyed this property and location.

Wow! Our second stay at Annalena's place was just as amazing as the first! It truly feels like our home away from home. The home shines with cleanliness and brightness. The surroundings are simply stunning! Whether we were enjoying morning coffee on the dock or watching gorgeous sunsets at night, the beauty of the property never failed to impress. A refreshing dip on a hot day or a relaxing float under the sun, the pool added an extra layer of enjoyment to our stay. We're already planning our next visit because we just can't get enough! His attentiveness and communication made our stay even more enjoyable.

Adorable beach condo with amazing beach, gulf and sunset views. The hosts were very responsive. Close to grocery stores, souvenir shops and restaurants. A perfect island getaway.

I hesitate to write this because I do not want the word to get out, but this is the perfect vacation spot. We are a family of five who had to cancel international travel last minute and were looking for something peaceful to spend time together. Our stay at Turtle Trax was everything we needed and more. The home was a perfect location on the island and fully appointed with anything you might want/need during your stay. Tortuga Properties goes out of their way to make it all easy. We filled our days with beach walks, pool swims, kayaking, and taking in all the nature of the island. The only hard part to this vacation was deciding which sand dollars to keep and leaving North Captiva. We will be back!

A beautiful location, very quiet neighborhood, yet within 1.5 miles of a large supermarket and drugstores. Pictures are very accurate of the home. We loved the outdoor pool area/lanai. There was an issue with the pool filter causing the pool to become too cold for swimming during the last few days, which was unfortunate for us, but that was not the hosts' fault, and they were very responsive, within minutes. The home as a very comfortable layout with several large sitting areas inside, as well as a very large lanai area. Kitchen is well equipped with everything we could need. We did not use the grill, but there was one available. We had an issue with the smoke detectors and, again, a simple text to our hosts brought immediate response and remedy. Alexina and her husband are lovely and very responsive. I would recommend this beautiful spot and we would return on our next trip to Cape Coral.
